Tucson, Az. here. Looks really good. What I've always done is put an entire can of beer during the boiling process. This was always what my family has done. Come to find out, the few friends of mine that make tripas do the same thing. I don't know if the taste is noticeably different, as I have never done side by side tasting with and without.
Just barely watching this 2024 March almost Easter. My uncle used to do this when I was little didn’t know what it was but curious smelled good. Didn’t look all that great for a child but ever since then I’ve loved him like to make them just like this Brings back a lot of good memories….
sapo you're all right me I like the passion you have for grilling out you remind me of just hanging out side just cooking enjoying the day. Shout out from Dallas,TX sir keep it up and do you.
I was looking up how to make lengua and found your video. Well 2 hrs later im still watching your videos. Im up here in San Antonio so i have access to great meat markets as well and let me tell you i'll be following your methods real soon. Thanks for the info Sapo.
Troy!!! You and Sapo need to do another collaboration video again! You two are great together! Like Tim and Al from Home Improvement hahaha! You get the point!
Walmart has them cleaned already (if perhaps overpriced) and I guess I could make a one-person batch in a wok using a similar technique. Good to see this being done right.
I'm from Alice brotha, but live here in Corpus now due to work. I've only seen your Carne Guisada and this video. And man I gotta tell you Sapo...both came out exactly the way I grew up seeing it, and I'm more than sure, taste exactly like it. You definitly have mastered the Mexicano/Hispanic style of cooking to a T! Not a surprise. That's South Texas for ya...we all mingle and have a good time! I've seen other videos, and have only come across yours, which just seem so authentic to the way I grew up seeing them then, and the way I cook them now. Love how slow cook the Guisada as well. That's how I learned to do it also. The slower the cook, the more tender and flavorful your carne and gravy is. Mmmhmmm! Cheers to you carnal, and here's to some fantastic, South Texas, home-style cookin'! 👍✌🍖🍺 P.S.(We also do this) Dipping the corn tortillas in the manteca...cant get more authentic than that! Like a Boss!!!
Love your videos! Great to see stuff nobody else is doing. Love to see the "lesser" cuts featured! Rock on - looking forward to the next one! Greetings from Northern Cal!
