I too used to take Atif Aslam's singing lightly but when Tajdar-e-Harm came out I felt like I was watching a miracle because such variations in a single song, those pronunciation of Persian and Arabic words and phrases, that confidence of singing, that just made me realise how underrated I had took him. Believe me like Arijit Singh he is a bestowed singer for whole of South Asia. Yaar Ab maan hi lo ki Atif is one of best👍...
1:27 I don't agree that they've copied or taken an "Indian concept", Mai Dhai is from Tharparkar, Sindh. It is geographically and culturally very close to Rajasthan, the women there dress in bright coloured ghoonghats like both Mai Dhai and the lady in the CS India one. This is in no way a case of "copied" material when both songs are literally just showcasing their culture which are both similar, given that we have a shared history therefore many cultural similarities. On the other hand we have many such examples of where Bollywood has copied Pakistani songs lyric by lyric and tune by tune. This video however was not a very clever attempt of trying to frame CS Pakistan 😶
Pakistan has a large number of audience speaking this language and practicing the same culture. Especially in south panjab and north Sindh. These divided areas are once called Rajasthan. If you look at the timeline of coke studio pakistan on wikipedia there are many songs that use Marwari language. This is not stolen but it is one of Pakistani culture highlighted.
Basically, a FOLK SONG, so there is no copying issue........I don't know the techniques used but what I noticed it was sung in three languages, started with MARVAR'I (Gujrati), then Atif blended in with URDU and ended with PUNJABI..............BLESS YOU for educating this old soul.
Coke studio ka her content original hota hai, singers , songs ki list and rehearsals bht months pehle start ho jati hain, may b Koi leakage hoi ho aur jaldi mein Indian coke studio ne copy kr ke release kiya,.. Ye bat man'ne wali he nhi ke Pakistan coke ne inko copy kiya ho, jab ke indian coke studio ka concept he pakistan coke ki copy hai..
I don't write much, but you deserve to read this, I have had the same feelings about these songs, Indian coke studio sounds so discombobulated regarding the music arrangements, it almost feels like they're trying so hard, I don't know why, on the other hand CS Pakistan is just so well done regarding arrangements, every instrument has its own place complimenting the vocalisations. P.S. The way you're feeling it, loved it.
I agree. They ruined it by mixing too much modern instruments. Its chaotic. They also ruined Kattey by mixing that rap by hard core. They are trying too hard to repeat the success of Choudhary by mame khan, and its resulting in such mess.
Pakistan Coke studio has been promoting its folk music since its season 1 and that dates back to 2008 So its not the first song in which you are watching a traditional appearance....
Starting music of the Mai Dai song paints the picture of chooolistan desert with line of camels walking across a setting sun in the background and khans badosh on the backs of those camel unaware of a women in the near by village singing the song.
None of the songs is copied. Both have separate lyrics and entity. Yes, they may sound similar to the one who is not known to the language used in the song. They are purely folk (traditional) songs. Both songs are well reacted. Keep it up. Would love to see your reaction on songs: Par Channa De....Uddi Ja.....Ishq Da Kukkar.......Dacchi Waaliya ...... Sawaal Kande Utte

What Ram sampath did is really good. He tried to combine dnb (drum n bass) with folk music. Just because the tempo is high and the setting is matching doesn't mean doesn't have soul. Been listening to it for years vibe in my car or when I feel low energy. I think Ram Sampath did a great job combining locked groove of a hi-nrg genre with metal like singing of the high pitched folk singer. Both songs are completely different. I'll always place chadh chadh as one of the better songs of coke studio india. Not every thing needs to be acoustic and have unnecessary dynamics. Chadh chadh jaana is all about power and experimentation.

Excuse me! This version of COKE studio Pakistan wanted to bring in the traditional songs from all over Pakistan's remote areas. I hardly think it was an inspiration from Indian Coke Studio's version. Just do your homework, this season had a compilation of numerous folktales from different regions of Pakistan. This was one too. And these singers, like this woman, are nonprofessional singers who are given a platform to perform their songs.

Sorry to say but your observations of the songs are totally biased. You may be a fan of Atif and soft music which is a good thing but without understanding the song Chadh Chadh Jana you gave your response. First listen to that song madam. Dunia mei keval soft music hi nahi hai. If you will take my response I didn't like Atif's song.
Haven't heard chadh chadh jana song.. But yeah I didn't like atif aslam in 'kadi aao ni', I only like the old lady singing.
Plz plz react to ajj jane ki zid na kro by Madam Fareeda khanum. Outstanding
