This actually happened many years ago in the company I work for. I'm an aircraft engineer. It was a 747. Pilot noted in the log book it was a very firm landing, well left of centreline. At that stage the auto land panel was only fitted in the flight deck, but the system was inoperative. It was labelled INOP so the pilots could see and a Notice To Crew was inserted into that same logbook for them to read. He well and truly had his a$$ kicked for that one.
Ok, the reindeer nose one kinda makes sense. Not like you'd know where those sensors were. Then again, you might try to move it and eliminate it as a possibility.

I started my job at my current airline at the end of 2006. For a while after I started, I did handyman work for a property investor in Fort Lauderdale. One day I got a call, some woman's air conditioner quit working. I'm not an AC technician, but one thing I will tell you is that 90% of the time, when AC quits working, it is because the condensate drain is plugged with spooge. So I grabbed my shop vacuum, an extension cord, and a roll of duct tape and went over there. I turned on the AC in order to determine if the fan was burned out, and....It came on. Yes, it simply came on and started blowing cold. I looked at the evaporator and noticed no ice or condensate. Hmmm. "Uhmm....Your AC appears to be working. I turned it on and it's getting cold" I said to the blonde haired 55 year old woman who worked at Home Depot. Her son was an American Airlines flight attendant, and he later became the mayor of Oakland Park, Florida. "Oh. So you have to turn it on?" Was her priceless response..........
Still shocked that the one customer actually had the repairs done by the shop. That doesn't happen often. Also quite sure that that woman was very proud of herself for installing that cabin air filter.

Report "Something in forward landing gear not working."
Maintenance "Something in forward landing gear replaced."
I would actually be surprised that an A320 would not have that feature. (To my knowledge this function is standard for all A320s.)
@@nirfz I believe it was an option, and there is a considerable increase in maintenance costs to ensure that it works properly.
@@carlasghost656loooool. I remember that routine.
Yeah, usually if you make a change to something (car or whatever), and something stops working, first step is to undo your change, then try to figure out what went wrong.
@@Summit2012All it takes is a few hours between installing the accessory and actually driving the car for people to forget about it. Happens to the best of us.
@@enzoperruccioor being full of "Christmas cheer" 😂
I hate when you drop sh*t in the engine compartment and it doesn't come out the bottom.
This is why I stopped doing maintenance while a car was parked on grass. Even when it does fall through it's often impossible to find.
Had that on the weekend but on the inside. Pulling a blend door actuator, got a 1/4 ratchet and socket between the heater plenum and firewall when it slipped out of my fingers. Had to find the flex magnet to extract it.
Been there, done that!
Cue the porn music
Maybe she just was needing some company
are you sure she didn't just troll you?
@@lotharrenz4621 Uh, no. She was serious, trust me....
Still shocked that the one customer actually had the repairs done by the shop. That doesn't happen often. Also quite sure that that woman was very proud of herself for installing that cabin air filter.
The “glove box not closing” is unbelievable 😊
Note in manual it states. When using glovebox for large items it is now a package tray. We provide this feature for customers who need more room for storage.
I stopped working on my own vehicles years ago, I found an honest shop and they do everything.
Turtle was found on the side of the road so how did it need saving from inside the vehicle like that?
In a safe place.
Someone picked it up, and it presumably crawled into the dashboard.
Idk why the firies were trying to retrieve it, of all people.
@@kahlzunThey probably didn't know who to call and panicked.
Think they set it in a package cubby in the center console, and turtle saw freedom away from large animals lol , Braveheart, freeeedom!.
The real MVP is the person getting the repairs done at the beginning of the video
Glad Jerry (JRI) the tortoise is OK.
That air filter installation was perfect. Shes a pro.
Turtles 🐢 are awesome pets! So much personality! My son made me a believer!
I trust that turtle to own a vehicle more than any of these costumers.
1:20 I remember years ago when I first started watching you, I sent in a clip from my channel of a Pathfinder with the same exact problem. Quality is timeless.
It's funny you say that. I was thinking of that exact clip while making the video!
Hope the little Turtle was ok!
Ok, the reindeer nose thing is just hilarious!
Made me start humming, frosty the snowman. 😅
My aunt asked me to test drive her car that would not go I pulled the rolled up floor mat out from under the gas pedal without thinking test drove it and said there's nothing wrong with it she saw it later and said oh it must have been the floor mat
lol glow box not closing got me 0:39
1. injured turtle on the side of the road
2. ??????
3. turtle inside the dashboard
Seems like the person must have put it in the spot in the center console where you can close the lid for transportation and somehow made it's way inside
Turtles are surprisingly good climbers.
I'm always amazed at these clips , I pay attention to more cars on the road around me anymore- just followed an SUV today that had an insane rear wheel hop at 22 mph. Great stuff, keep uploading
A friend of mine tore the dash out of his jeep wagoneer looking for the clogged catalytic converter. I explained that it was in the exhaust line.
That turtle has more sense and initiative then most of those customers
It always amazes me how people have the skill and ressources to swap an engine but then they ziptie the transmission back on
I mean what happened to the bellhousing bolt ????. Lol smh.
@@vs-ww7cbI feel like I’m being obsessive when I go to 2 hardware stores to buy the correct bolt/screw for a basic household appliance and then I see this clip about the wrong bolt.
Some of these customer “ complaints” should be charged a “diagnostic stupidity fee”!
Watching your videos always makes me wonder how these people manage to dress themselves in the mornings!.😂😂....
Not been to Walmart lately? 😅
@@vs-ww7cb 👍🤣🤣...
I saw my dad watching your videos. He's an ex-mechanic so I'm sure he gets a kick out of these
"Just add water"!😅
That turtle was not in good hands 🤣🤣🤣
I love the hydrolocked engine...adding water to the oil reservoir....so fn brilliant. I bet the rods are bent bad. Just in case(JIC) nobody got.the memo...FLUIDS ARE VIRTUALLY INCOMPRESSIBLE. This is why hydraulics work so well. Thank Daniel Bernoulli.
I'm pretty sure someone else would have discovered it.
@@Cheepchipsable you
1:20 Customer: "It didn't come in like that! You broke it! You're fixing it for free!"
I was thinking the same thing
Always know your limit for working on your car for some that is closing the glove box 😂
Just remember ,I'm positive someone out there has put soo many gloves in one before it wouldn't close.😉 then they pondered lifes inequities.
I sometimes think I'm a little inept when it comes to my car. But these videos remind me I'm quite competent. I just can't even begin to comprehend how you add water to your oil... Or don't recognize when your control arms are totally fucked.
The turtle is the winner. When I hear you say, "The customer states, . . . " I just have to get ready for some really dumb craziness. They never let me down. How the hell can they drive, read road signs and stay on the road? Where are they from. OK, just joking, eh.
Judging by some of the jackass drivers on the roads these days, they cannot drive, read road signs or stay on the road. And some of them are from Washington State.
I’ll never understand how someone will make a change to their vehicle. And it stops working. And they don’t even consider they had something to do with it😂🤦♂️
Hey if you toss the air filter on the dash it will work better. 🤪
The best was the lady that installed her air filter ....CLASSIC !!!!!!!
JUST ROLLED IN!!!!
“Customer is getting the repairs done” after rear control arm is found to be rusted through. YYYAAAAAAAAYYY!!! that might be a first for this channel.
I love these vids
That turtle reminds me of the time a coworker had her car towed because of a weird engine noise, a.k.a. the kitten who'd crawled under the car realizing that his new hiding spot was turning on.
She still has the cat.
A large part of me really wants to see pictures of these customers.
Sometimes we can tell, just by looking at them...
I deadass stared at my phone, mouth open, when that dumbass lady pointed to the "installed" cabin filter. I think I died a little inside 😂
Remember when schools actually taught Shop in the good ole days, instead of what sex you think your are? 😂
When I went to high school in the 80s they taught both. I guess shop classes are too expensive now for most schools.
@@mrquirky3626 California?
You mean gender, right? There is a difference and I don't think anyone is confused about their sex. That's pretty obvious. Discovering your true gender on the other hand can require some support and education.
3:18 - WHOO! Another clean S-10 Pickup! I ain't even mad about the newer S-10 rims, it looks sweet!
"Glove box doesn't close." In this instance, I think the Diagnostic Fee is worthwhile. (It is, after all, a bit insulting to call it an "Idiot Tax.")
The last clip is sponsored by Turtle Wax. 🐢
1:34 Call Guinness. Someone actually APPROVED a repair.
There's no way some of these people can hold a job.
Probably union members.
Some of them graduated from college and make 100k+ a year
Come on we've all had a 'supervisor' or 'manager' etc who was this incompetent, it's called failing upwards
Wait, what?!? The customer HAD the repairs done and didn't decline them? Dogs and Cats living together is next.
The zip tied shifter cable is legit. I drove like that for a year.
I hit a traffic cone while on my motorcycle and snapped off the shift lever. Replaced it with a vice grip and a lace from one of my boots. Push down with my foot, pull up with the string. Made it from Orlando to Jacksonville Florida.
Cracking video as ever keep up the good work
