    I enjoy all of your videos, you're digging and artifact hunts both bring back childhood memories for me, when my mom and dad took us siblings out to hunt artifacts and to dig old dump sites when we weren't buying and selling antiques. I also adore Squirrel Man when he makes those happy sounds. Much love.

    The river gave you a work out, but it was worth it ! But you still found some artifacts, an that makes it worth while. Squirrel Man got over excited with the ear rubs, an couldn't break away from them long enough to go pee. :~)

      Yea. I am kind of shocked that place has Adena Stuff Verses Paleo. I thought for sure that first point was a Paleo lance I found in there. And now....I dont think so. I bet there are some big nice ones in there someplace. I found a half of one in that area like 4 months ago when i was doing all those marble videos...and it would have been like 5 or 6 inches. But I only have like 40% of it. to bad for sure.

    Eh, places dry up, but it looks like you've got some new territory/material scuffed up with the barges. Can't wait to see that. Always smokin' Thanks, Rocks.

      Yea. And I am backed up on footage. I lost count of how many points I found from Monday to Weds. At one point on monday I got 4 smoker amos points...just STUNNERS in 4 consecutive screens. I am just spacing them out over multiple vids. To make more income. First one will be in the next video

    I love to go on an archeological group tour with you as the tour guide Rocks. Or to buy a bag of random rocks you sifted.
    I would gladly sacrifice rock sifting video for squirrel man and the rest of the pet family to get more time with Dad! It's too hot to be caged up...and you need some rest anyway Rocks.

      Thank You. I was searching for that word when i was filming....and just couldnt find it...LOL.
      I never really got into fossils past say 7th grade. Then it was all arrowheads. It has been since 7th grade that I looked at a fossil book id guess. I am out of practice Dave

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  Месяц назад +1

      That seems odd to me. The fired rock and the fossils being exposed. All of that fire rock is sandstone. I never really imagined pieces having fossils "suspended" in them like that. All that fire rock is blown up from the heat. A good bit of the cracks expose fossils just like that. I see that alot on ancient indian camp rock that has been heated and exploded

  • @Swamp-Fox

      @rockscousteau  Месяц назад

      Yea, something a little different. I dont really find many. But I do If I start going up river. The last time I went up there I found one that was pretty nice. This was a shock. I thought those first stemmed points were old...like late paleo. They are all Adena's now Id say. LOL

    Great saves again!! Can you video how you probe?? Do you take that in all the time or hide it?

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  Месяц назад +1

      am in like an 8 inch seam. 3 feet under the surface of the original ground surface. I am using the probe to stay on the "LAYER" with indian material in it. The sediments are layered. I want to be in a "Sand and cracked fire rock layer" I can differentiate between the clay....gravel.....and know when the probe is hitting that "Sand Layer". And I "Chase" that layer. And I stay on it with the PROBE.
      Do you understand?
      It is something you really cannot teach. You have to "Do it". How can I tell you how it feels pushing a probe through river mud on the surface.....verses how the base clay feels on the bottom?
      That is the issue.
      I think I can explain it "Better in Words"
      "There is a layer on the bottom...the base clay, nothing is below that" all the arrowheads are in the layers down to that "Base Layer". But usually in ONE LAYER. And with the probe....well....you stay on it.
      Then when I probe all the base clay....."The bottom" around where the items are laying. I can get a "good idea" of how the base clay is slanting or dipping underground as to where "To Dig"
      Read this twice. And think about it.
      You will understand.

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  Месяц назад +1

      And while you are doing ALL of that above. You must take test screens. And try to figure out where the "Layer is"
      You can even "see the layer" with artifacts in it if you dig a trench. The layer is a different color of soil/sand

    • @scottnock5241
      @scottnock5241 Месяц назад

      @@rockscousteau I can completely understand you, bro I have a probe. I understand your layer theory in the contour in the past year I’ve realized in watching your stuff that that base Clay has pockets in it and troughs. I never really realize that much. I just thought it was like all flat, but it gets grooves and troughs in itpockets and thanks for the explanation
