No one's going to go out of their way for a bag of chips or an ice cream bar. It was actually an insult. I was waiting for you to say they shut down the park or you get free Disney genie....

I think the lounges sort of serve as a replacement for WHW but are more accessible if you're in the parks because you don't have to leave a park to go to the event. Before we moved to Florida, we never went to WHW because we didn't always have an AP and wanted to maximize our time in the parks. With the lounges, you're still there with only DVC members, can get a snack, and can learn more about membership. It's not great for those who are doing resort-only stays, though. I would like to see them bring characters into the lounges on a drop-in (not scheduled) basis. Figment could easily come up to the Epcot lounge. I agree that it would be nice to get a mobile order discount or QS discount without limiting to 1x. I wonder if those who need to speak with an allergy specialist at QS locations forfeit their discount? We will probably miss these current offerings, but I hope to be in EPCOT if they offer the Halloween(ish) characters at Atlantic Dance Hall again. That was nice to do mid-day on our F&W day. Thanks for the videos and breaking these things down for us.

I can see that. . . though, I think it would be a better repalcement if it were easier to access the lounges. Maybe if they were bigger or there were more lounges available at other parks, which Disney is working on over at MK and Disney Springs so I may revise my position once that project is complete. I'm hoping that with these new lounges there are some considerations being made that will make it less likely that you'll end up on a wait list or maybe even eliminates the assigned seating. 🤞We'll just have to wait and see.
You know, that's a good question you have there about the mobile order thing. I'll have to inquire about that! Glad you enjoyed the discussion. See you around! 😄

I really appreciate Disney adding more perks, however I'm guessing 95% DVC members will not use it. Sort of like when they offered a free entry to the water park on check in day. SMH. They really need to offer a perk when A DVC member is there anytime of the year. I bet most DVC members go only once a year.

Possibly, but I think if you have DVC and go once a year then you’re wasting your DVC. But I agree the perks should be a few months and change them seasonally

@@Dadatdisneyworld Please dont quote me, but lets say you have 150 points at Bay Lake. The only thing you can stay in, is a deluxe studio for one week. Now, lets take a guess how many would plan their vacation around WHW.

@@tbbucatfl I mean 150 is just 50 points above the minimum that you need to even have DVC. I agree that it shouldn’t just be select days. However, I also believe that if you’re going to invest in a Disney Vacation Club, you should not be going once a year. Our Disney vacation Club agent didn’t understand why we didn’t have DVC before. I live in New York City but I take about four, one or two week long trips to Disney a year. I’m sure some people in DVC do go once a year. I’d be curious on the statistics of the average point number.
But this would definitely be a very interesting topic to look into is what’s the average number of trips booked by Disney vacation club member and what’s the average number of points that each contract has.

@@Dadatdisneyworld I too would like to know how often DVC members go.

It's not uncommon for DVC Members to visit only once per year or even every other year. We have been members for over 20 years and prior to the last 3 years, we visited once per year sometimes skipping a year so that we could do bigger trips with more family by borrowing/banking points. While there are some who do multiple trips per year, that's not feasible for the average family thanks to things like work, school and travel costs. That's the beauty of DVC Membership though; flexibility. Unless your not using it, you're not "wasting" it.
