years later coming back to this and this song still manages to get me tearing up the emotion behind this song is just ah and just thinking about this games story and all the struggles and sadness endured and then we have Celice man this hits in the feels they just don't do game music like this anymore.
9 years since I've seen you here. The osts were truly amazing in the older fire emblem games. I still think fe4 has the best, the osts can capture so much emotion.
I have to object to Marth being placed below the Elibe lords. He has the single greatest character development and arc of any lord in Fire Emblem (Mainly because only a few other characters in SD even get one). Like, just play Shadow Dragon (And New Mystery, for that matter) again and pay attention to everything Marth does. You'll see it.
@Eric, The Cult & Narcissist Slayer also if Rowan's there then Alfonse deserves to be as well. He's definitely better than Corrin especially in book three.
There's a few other songs across judgral that do this, but seliph's theme in particular gives me huge paper Mario 64 vibes. Same composer and time frame will do that after all

Giving Sigurd everything is actually very viable because that means Seliph gets everything via inheritance, which then turns Seliph into a murder monster just like his father (but slightly worse because, you know, no horse)

Keon Bennett Statwise, overall not as good as Sigurd, but he makes up for it with better Resistance growth, and when you combine the resistance boost from the Tyrfing, we will have the best magekiller in the series. As for personality, he has the strong will of Sigurd and the compassion of his mother Deirdre. However, I wonder why they named him Celice. Not that it is bad or anything, but I think Julius laughed for an hour when he heard his name was Celice.
Keon Bennett Okay, Roy is not that bad. Aside from his late promotion, he has really great growths, best supports in the game, access to the lightest and the most accurate weapon type, and furthermore the strongest weapon in the Elibe mythos: The Sealed Sword. And with a Light Brand he can cause up to 20 damage at range, provided that he has enough speed.
Seliph/Celice is a monster in stats, especially with his resistance. Personality wise, Seliph doesn't like war, but if it's necessary, he'll fight. Out of all the lords in the series, he's probably the most like Marth personality wise.
My greatest hope is that the remake gives you the choice of whether or not Seliph trusts the turnwheel after it led his father to the slaughterhouse and ruined the lives of everyone he loves. If they do, I'm picking the "smash the turnwheel to pieces" option in a heartbeat, and I hope this song plays.

I think that comes from him having many characteristics from his mother, in my opinion. He has her gentle demeanor and even the face of his sprite is based on Deirdre.

I just can’t agree with Marth being worse than the FE7 and 8 Lords. It doesn’t make sense to me.
