Bought my iPhone 8 in 2018, it was my first iPhone. Still kicking. Apart from its battery at 73% and very limited space (using 58 of its 64GB) I love it. I've been thinking of upgrading for a while now, but every time I look at the price tags I look back at my good old buddy and give it a smile.

I bought it years ago as my second iPhone, and there was a certain notes app I liked on it. I liked the look of this phone.
I just got the iPhone 8 256gb no scratches on front or back no cracks and it’s unlocked with a new battery with 100% health. and it’s working great so far.
Still on my 8 Plus since launch! I can’t use OLED and it still does all I need, and I still love the big 16:9 screen 1080p with nothing encroaching into it.

I bought my iPhone 8 in 2022 then my mom got herself a iPhone 14 then she let me use her old Xs but battery was in bad condition then I switched to my father old Samsung and then return back to my iPhone 8 and it still works fine.
I picked up an iPhone 13 pro max when they came out and still use my old iPhone 8 as a VOIP office phone. I do miss having the home button.
I'm using my iPhone 8 Plus at the moment. Bought it in 2020 right around the time Apple stopped selling them. It still works fine, and I don't really use anything outside of some basic games, web browsing and social media. Only reasons I'm looking at getting a new phone are the lack of software updates and the size. After nearly 5 years of using big phones, I'm starting to really notice how much I prefer small ones LOL. Looking at getting either a refurbished 13 mini or SE3 since I really don't need anything super fancy. I wouldn't recommend buying an 8 series phone, but if you're still using one, I reckon it could probably keep going for another year or 2 before losing app compatibility
The 13 mini is wayyyyyy better than the se 3 unless u like this design then the se 3 is a good phone
@@D3great12 both designs are fine. I actually prefer having bezels since it gives the phone a bit more personality. I don’t need anything crazy though. I don’t game on my phone, I barely take any pictures (but when I do i almost always zoom a ton). Honestly a 12 mini is looking more and more appealing by the day
@@samspicer123 the minis are better imo than the se u get oled better cameras and with the 13 mini good battery life the se is good if u want to keep touch id and thats abt it

Using my 11 rn but have my 8th just incase I need it for something, and I’ve gotta say the battery on the 8th has gotten terrible. After only 2 years of usage (bought in 2019), the battery life dropped to 80% but it feels more like 65% because even with no apps and no photos left on it, I have to recharge it every 7 hours while it is even turned off and not being used all day

I get around 4-6 hours of normal use daily out of my iPhone 8 @ 93% battery health with an about year old cell in it, if you're not a power user its honestly still a pleasant experience. If you have one, ride it out, if you're thinking of buying one as a primary device, just go for at least an iPhone 12 instead.
I still use my iPhone 8 among many other phones, put in a battery case and I don’t see any reason why not to still use it in 2024. I don’t play games on my phone, so no loss there!

My iPhone 8 got refurbished for free recently
(got a battery replacement, removed broken glass protector, basically looks like it's brand new) so i decided to hop back at it and most likely i will stay on that phone for a very long time now.
I don't need those new iPhone features anyway becuase i mainly use my Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 tablet and this iPhone 8 is the only one phone i ever had with iOS so im fully fine with it
Im using 13 as my main device and 8 as my back up phone. I chose the 8 as my second device as this unit is still working smooth versus my Samsung A7 2017. Both device were released in 2017. Samsung keeps on lagging even if I deleted many apps and files.
Why are you not comparing with an old S series around the same time. The Iphone 8 plus is a flagship phone regardless of age

Still got my trusty iPhone 8. Replaced the battery last year but apart from that all good. It does struggle a bit when opening news websites that are full of rubbish everywhere but then again no real reason to go on such tabloid trash anyway. Processes multiple apps at once fine, and I don’t play games so nothing to worry about there. And for me I still like the home button and the phone size that fits in your hand well with the beveled edges. Newer phones look big and clunky in comparison, even the newer minis look clunky compared.
Why doesn't anybody talk about the XS. If I remember correctly the XS was selling at the same price as the X. I actually got a XS which I replaced the battery for my Dad. It was the day before the 15 came out. The people at the store said I could pick up the phone at launch day of the 15. I knew better and went in the day after launch to pick up the phone.

Battery life is better on 8+ than iphone 12 pro battery for some reason, also the old iphones are more durable apparently.

Get the SE 3. They can be found fairly cheap refurbished and also retain the same feel as the 8, but will last much longer

The iPhone 6 was actually one of the worst phones that I've ever heard It was pretty good until the battery significantly degraded the battery health capacity was at 55% so that was a bust
