I'm just an old country boy don't know much about computers or printers but you sure make it sound fun I love your videos and I always learn something 🐉 🐲
Thank you so much Silver Seeker!! It means a lot to.me 🤘🐲🐉😊❤️ The Ender 3 Pro is still a very relevant machine. Creality is one of the OG's. Lots of these newer ones are Ender Clones. I just happen to love Elegoo ❤️ And I think there's ways to upgrade your Ender with mods and such to get more out of it. I'm just not 100% sure how lolol. Maybe eventually I'll get there.
This is a great video, I was very close to purchase 4 pro and this video change my mind. I am new to 3d printing but I prefer to let go the speed but have the stability. Thanks for the video.
@@ResinDragonStudios I decided to get the Neprune 3 Plus instead for now, the Black Friday discount on amazon is $319, the 4 pro is cheaper like $289 but smaller. It was the printing speed of the 4 pro and its new model made me have hard time to decide at first.
Thank you for an excellent video. My son's Elegoo 3 Pro is acting up and I've given up trying to fix it. The 3 Plus and the 4 Pro are the same price now, but based on your video, I think I'll opt for the 3 Plus (unless there's one you like even better?). Thank you!
Thank you for watching and the kind words!! We had issues with the Neptune 3 as well. Because it didn't have those tuning knobs, it was very difficult to get a truly level bed. So we upgraded. I do still love my 3 plus! And the prices have come down a bit since the video. Good luck! I really hope it all works out!
I'm looking at getting into FDM printing and so far I'm down to the Neptune 3 plus and the 4 plus as my first machines. I think I'm going to hold on until the 4 plus has been out for a while before I buy.
They are both awesome machines! That sounds like a really good plan! We also waited, and watched lots of review vids before we chose too! Thanks so much for the comment and for watching 🤘🐲🐉😁
Very awesome Resin, I don't know anything like that, but I would go for the larger one. Since the price difference is only 50 dollars more, and the performance looks better❤😊 See you soon
I don't know much about those printers but I know a little more now. It sounds like bigger is better and quieter. A little slow but does a good job. Thanks for the information and have a great day.
Im stuck between an ender series printer or a Neptune 3/4. My use case will be to experiment and make different wallets I have designed. What can you recommend? Thanks!
Hi there , as far as enders go, I don't really have any experience with them so I can't really speak to their performance. If you compare apples to apples on the Neptune 3 pro to the Neptune 4 pro, the 4 pro is the better machine. It has way more awesome features than the 3 pro. My biggest complaint so far with the 4 pro is the noise. Also keep in mind growth. Do you ever plan on doing larger prints? If so check out the plus or max. They can do small and large prints. Or if you are OK with purchasing another machine on down the road if needed you can wait. Hope this helps!! 🤘🐉🎄
Great video for some getting into 3d printing I thought about getting the 4 pro but now I’m not sure if I should go for plus was thinking mainly using it for props cosplay and table top gaming figures. Out of pro and plus what would you recommend and have you tested the new 4 plus.
Hi there i have not gotten the 4 plus or max to try out. But take a look at some facebook groups or reddit threads that have. I have been hearing quite a few issues with them I have not had many issues my my 3 plus or 4 pro. If your mainly gonna use it for cos play go with a plus or a max. You won't regret it. Now gaming figurines is a whole nother story. I use a resin 3d printer for those.
You can 3D print a blank for sand casting but the layer lines would prob be visible. A resin 3D printer would prob be best. Less layer lines in the prints. (We have a resin 3d printer too!)
Well, I don't own one, so I really can't say from experience. But I can say it is very similar to the 4 pro but bigger. Elegoo has an awesome comparison chart on their website that gives you more details, I hope that helps.
I’m about to order the Neptune 4 Plus this week. I’ve never owned a Neptune printer, but it seems like it’s way ahead of any Ender series printer. So I’m hoping it won’t disappoint.
@@Alm1r It has been wonderful! I’ve had absolutely no issues with it. After levelling the bed, and adding some amazing features to Klipper, I’ve had nothing but clean and fast prints. Still haven’t had a single failed print and I’ve went through 2kg of filament. I’m amazed by this thing! And the print speed is crazy! Now I’m looking at buying a resin printer, and I’ll probably go for some Elegoo product. I definitely recommend it if you’re in the market for a printer!
I am so happy for you that you love your new machine! So awesome! I have a resin printer as well, the 1st version of the Elegoo Saturn and I love that thing!!! Resin is a whole nother animal but soooo fun and the amount of detail you can capture is well beyond an FDM printer. It's great for making miniatures and figurines.
@@ResinDragonStudios Your video definitely made my decision easier. Thank you very much! I’ll look through your uploads to see if you have any for that resin printer. I’m very new to this 3D modelling world, and just bought an air brush to start (learn) painting some figurines. The Ender 3 Pro I had made me hate printing. The Elegoo definitely changed my view on it. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video! Is it possible to slow the print speed down on the 4 Pro and make it print better? The idea of it cutting print times in half is super tempting. But if I needed a super precise print having the option to slow down and be precise would be nice.
Thanks for watching! Yep speed is controllable in the slicer a few different ways. And on the fly in the middle of the print from the touchscreen. The default is 250 mm/s so if you decrease the speed it should print a bit more precise. Just how slow to get the same precision as the 3 plus, that probably depends on the project. And if noise is no concern for you, then having the 4 pro to use the speed when you WANT to and have the option to slow it down is awesome.
PLEASE HELP!!!! I am looking to get a 3D printer and am looking at the Neptune 4 Pro or the Neptune 3 Pro. Im just not sure which is easier to use and has the less amount of problem and compatibility
Hi there, My suggestion is if you're not doing timelapses with the Mintion Beagle Cam then there is NO reason to get the 3 pro. I know I was hard on the Neptune 4 pro, but I still use it and it's a really good printer as long as you can get past the noise lol.. The 4 pro has auto bed leveling with more points of contact and manual tuning knobs. Overall the 4 pro is the better machine. One more thing, my personal opinion if you are hardset on the Neptune 3 line , I highly suggest looking at the Neptune 3 plus over the 3 Pro. It improved on everything the 3 Pro was lacking and is still compatible with the mintion Beagle Cam. I hope this helps!!!! Good luck with your new printer!!!!
That was a great video. Here is my dilemma. At a price point of $100 difference, is it worth going with the Neptune 4 pro over the 3 pro? Does the 3 pro have a usb port? I am not a fan of noise either. I understnd Klipper is the future of 3D printing. Is that true? Please keep up the good work. Thank you
Thank you so much for the feedback! To be honest, in my opinion, the 4 pro is the better machine over the 3 pro. The noise is the biggest problem for me. The 3 pro doesn't have the extra manual knobs to get the best level bed. The 3 pro has a USB type b port, but probably not the USB port you are looking for. Klipper is so hot right now because everyone wants more speed. If it's the future is yet to be seen, but it's definitely being used more and more in newer machines. Thanks for the awesome question and I hope it helped!!! 🐲🐉🤘
@@ResinDragonStudios Thanks so much for such a quick reply. Except for the noise, I like the 4 Pro. Do you really need the external fans if you don't print at 200 or 250 or faster? Thanks again.
You are very welcome! Happy to help and pass on the knowledge 😊 If you run at much slower speeds (ie. Speeds like the Neptune 3) I would think not. But haven't tried it yet. Everything I've printed on my 4 pro I print fast ( when I'm not in the room) lol I have seen other makers do it though. A lot of this hobby is trial and error.
Great video Resin! I may have upgrade my Viper. Had considered a Prussa? Idk unless catch a sale lol. However I struggle to make editable stl files or how edit downloaded stl files. I would love you make video. I want make customizable prints of whatever pops in my mind lol.
Thanks so much for your comment and support!! How old is your Vyper? We are still dabbling in Free Cad right now , making some small custom stuff. But I will definitely keep in that mind and make a video when we get there!
Both are great. The biggest difference is print volume and size. I would have a max if it werent sooooo big. Unfortunately I just don't the room. It doesn't fit on my worktable. Not enough room for the bed movement. But the Plus fits on my table perfectly. So it all depends on how much room you have. I'm also very new to 3d printing, it's very addicting! Lol
I don’t understand what’s the probem with the neptune 4 about the quality. Il you want the same quality of the neptune 3, all you need to do is to reduce the printing speed.
Thanks for watching and commenting!Yep I totally understand and I did state that in the video. That this comparison is based on out the box stock settings and adjustments could be made to make it better on both printers. Wanted to see if the speed affected the quality and precision of the prints. And indeed it does as you stated as well. I hope that clears things up 😊
