Tul is the most genuine, considerate on others, humble down to earth guy, intelligent and smart guy. We need a friend like Tul in our lives. Max is very lucky to have Tul as co-star. Wish Tul all the best ! Thank you for inviting Tul as your guest. Tul is a great guy 👏.
@@mariaantoniettasanna2114 why are you saying it like that tul said he is lucky and we all know how much he loves max so i think he knows better than you who he loves and who he is glad to have as friend
I love Tul for talking about how some fans feel entitled over actors. This is the first time I've seen an actor addressing this and I hope that fans can learn from this. This is their work! It's ridiculous to get angry that your faves are straight or act different irl. And when he said we should expect them to contribute to the LGBTQ+ community. i love this man
@@ethan123p4 No, if they were gay, they would be called gay. They wont be called seme and uke. Seme and uke have nothing to do with sex. What a perverted thing to say. Danmeis dont even have sex talk and it is one of the most telling branches of BL. This is an almost hundred year old artform. The fujoshis wont change it just because you feel like a victim. The fanbase is made up of 80% cishet females according to asian statistics. Cishet Women have gone through rapes, molestations and beatings. We dont go to gay pride and make it about us. We let your have that month. So please. You are not the only people who suffer. I felt sorry for the lgbt since the 1990s but it is getting tiring because you'll seem to claim victimhood for every damn thing. And now it is getting worse since you are taking our turf. Some young liberal girls will take your side and then regret it but by then it is too late. Yaoi is the name of BL in written form. It started in Japan as standard stories. When anime was added and the stories were turned into graphic novels then the name changed to yaoi. Seme and uke are japanese words and part of everyday lexicon. They are not gay terminology. Some fujoshis add homonormative subtext to their stories because if they dont, you lot will scream fetishization. There are some of us who dont care about name calling so our stories appear in the BL universe. And those are the ones that do the best. But others dont want to be percieved as homophobe. So they give in. And you thrive on that and your victimhood. So stop being ignorant, collect your tears and amscray. And dont misgender me. I hate being called bruh.
@Dan Yeah, frankly I think the trans thing is either something confused victims of child abuse get pulled into or something people rely on when they want to be current [like Angelina Jolie and her poor daughter]. Certain people are using the trans people to cause a schism in the general population. Hatred for the LGBT never rose until the trans thing. The LGB can watch BL. Anyone can. It will be nice not to see the ''panicked gay confident gay'' meme and other appropriating nonsense in the comment section. When I watched Brokeback Mountain, I kept my opinion to myself despite the fact that as a woman, it offended me. I am not the intended audience. If there was a comment section back then, I would have left a casual comment or none at all.
Max & Tul are the undisputed Kings of BL. They are the standard that new BL actors should study from. And Manner of Death is for the grown & sexy so if you don’t have that as your favorite project from them then…🤷🏾♂️
Rewatching this for the nth time and just had to say that an episode with Mew and Tul together would be so iconic and so insightful and interesting as they are both so smart and outspoken! I know it would probably never happen but I just had to put it out into the universe
I have always admired him for his intelligence and his attitude towards life... Listening to him again after years is so nice... I missed him so much when he went to USA
That was amazing! As an adult BL fan, I so appreciate this interview with the honest insight of Tul. All of the subjects you brought up, are hopefully, giving the younger BL generation a better understanding of how this industry really works. I've seen so many toxic fans over the years, that no matter what you tell them, they will never believe the actors are in general not the same off screen as they are on screen. I feel so very blessed to have had the opportunity to see this interview, so professionally & tastefully done. Looking forward to seeing Tuls' journey as he continues in life. As for which desert island show, will always be Manner of Death. You now have a new fan ladies.
At 0:15 when she started speaking Thai, Tul's expression of surprise was just the most adorable thing ever! His adorable smile shortly after was just the best and gives me LIFE
I got into BLs around the Together With Me time, and I immediately fell in love with MaxTul, and Tul especially. He is such a down to earth, fun and intelligent man, I just cannot believe someone like that can actually exist on this planet. He's the only Thai actor among the ones that I follow on Instagram that I am actually interested on, I love seeing what is going on in his life, I love seeing how he does so many things, how he likes to explore, meet people, travel the world. He's just graduated from Columbia a few days ago and I loved witnessing the process of it all. I am so proud of him, he's such a smart and loving soul. And I completely agree with him, what's special about MaxTul is their amazing amazing friendship, a bond that really amazes me to this day. A lot of BL fans ship couples romantically, but MaxTul go beyond that, they don't need any romance, they are just amazing the way they are. Their souls are connected and they cherish each other profoundly, and that is the most endearing thing in the world. They don't fake anything. What you see IS love, but maybe not the type of love that a lot of BL fans want to see (especially newer fans). If you don't have MaxTul as your ultimate pairing, are you even a BL fan? 🥲 Thank you for this interview, I loved every minute of it. And if I had to choose one Thai actor I could have a conversation with, even a short one, well that would be Tul without a doubt. Love you Tullie 🩷
Actually after confirming their relationship, it would be so cool if you would talk to Tul and Mew. How is it being an actual queer person / couple in the BL world etc. would be super interesting.
MaxTul are not only BL Kings......they are also Kings in real Life! Much Love and Respect to Tul! Many of the young Actors can realy learn from him and Max!
I just burst out in tears of happiness when Tul said he’d like to give asexuals representation. As an ace, I cannot tell you how much that means, and I just know he’d do such a fantastic job. 😭💜 Thank You, Tul!
Yeah, that made me really happy as well! Ace rep is so rare, and I love to see people treating it with respect and support. I think Tul is someone we can really trust to get it right, too!
@Dan I call it gatekeeping because it is gatekeeping. But I see that you'd rather stand with an ignorant and hateful person who isn't even a member of the community than to show any consideration to the people who were on the barricades and helped drive the fight for gay rights back in the day.
@Dan So are you saying Aces aren’t allowed to identify as part of the LGBTQIA spectrum because we threaten gay safe spaces? Or are you trying to say we don’t need safe spaces too? How does Ace identification take away from the rest of the spectrum?
@Dan You still don't speak for the entire community. You can gatekeep all you want but you can't force anyone else to follow your made-up rules just because you don't like the people who don't fit into your narrow definitions.
Its always such a pleasure to listen to Tul… he is sooo good in interviews. I chuckled at Tul mentioning Tay… because Tay Tawan seems to legit know everyone.
@@darlenesousa3227 yup… they are quite good friends since they both went to Chula University around the same time with other actors including Max, Up Poompat (Lovely Writer the Series), Foei Patara (Manner of Death)… they were all in cheerleading/flag
Tul is so smart and kind. He can explain sensitive topic and the reality with most warm word. He gave us the truth but still considering not hurting bl fans.
Okay I fell for this man, head empty but him. He was so thoughtful and like really active (?) in leading convos, I had to pause a lot of times to stop giggling, he was sooo smiley and cute (+sorry for saying that but ,,it must be awkward to ask this question but---" got me on knees, like ask me whatever you want Tul:D). And not saying it was surprising to hear his POV about the serious topic (asexual series when? hello? i'm dying for it), like he didnt brush it off and really gave his shot to it and did his homework. so sure it refreshing a lot... and his drive for self-development is just inspiring. Well-cultured man we stan. And you did so well too, I loved that how we all play little mind-game with them - how we feed them and how they feed us, you explained it to him very well I can relate to that too. And of course it is the Manner of death for me, we love improvement.
I love this interview and love how Tul is so intelligent and clear about his thoughts. Also as a person who started following BL closely very recently, I agree with hosts, that Tul is a name we all are aware
I'm crying. This is why i love MaxTul so much. In this podcast. You'll see how intelligent and how he is really speaking for the community and gives importance to the representation. He values everything about it and one of the advocates that really pursues the community to be also the norm in the society. I love him so much, he is sexy in all aspects, we all know that. BUT HIS MIND! HIS MIND IS SO FUCKING SEXY!!!
This I am his fan because of his mind and his thoughts., He is an intelligent man with so many talents & That man is an activist, he never shy away from uncomfortable situation I got to know so much about Thailand's society and politics because of him... He is on total another level of human being...
This is one of the best interviews that I have ever watched ! Tul is an amazing human being and a great role model. Thank you both for interviewing him and letting us discover other parts of him a bit more. His way of thinking and speaking is inspirational for all of us. I think people should look up to great people like him when they choose a role model, because these people can make a difference in this hectic world. Truly amazing! You girls are amazing as well for keeping it real. It didn't feel like an interview but more like a friendly fun chat. You two are both great at making people feel at ease and I want to congratulate you for being yourselves and asking very good questions. Loved every second of this! Thank you for making my day better and for making my love and appreciation for Tul Pakorn grow deeper! Lots of love and hugs from Romania 💜💜💜
I have always loved Tul's support of the LGBTQIA+ communities and how kind he is to everyone. He and Max were my first BL loves and will always be my heroes in this industry. As for his comments, I completely agree...and I have argued with commenters before that these actors don't deserve the abuse they get from some fans. I understand why fan service exists. But I also think it often goes way too far because it seems to me that so many fans (not all of course) cannot seem to separate reality from fiction. Case and point...Build. So I am so thrilled that Build has stood up to these horrible people and proved that they cannot just hide behind fake profiles. Everything on the internet is traceable. Anyway, I look forward to anything Tul and Max do. And to answer the desert island question..."Manner of Death" for sure. I love a suspenseful series like that one. It had me on the edge of my sofa every week never knowing what would happen next or who would wind up dead! But I will say..."Together With Me" is a classic.
I just love how Tul came all prepared with his note sheets! It's so great to listen to this interelligent young person! So important that he also pointed out how important it is for the BL industry and their actors and creators to be a voice for our community and to help us gain the same rights as everyonelse has" Oh my I'm loosing it when Tul mentioned the non-binary community and the asexual community one of the most underrepresented people in our community! I would watch his projects!
I just love Tul! He is so genuine and wise. I love that he was so honest about his opinions of the bl industry and said to not expect the bl actors to be the same in real life as their characters on screen. Can’t wait for him to come to the US and do another interview with you!
I remembered loving this interview and decided to come back to watch it after not seeing it since it can out. Tul is just so amazing to hear speak and I love the conversations and honesty from him and you both! Something did me laugh so hard, cause I didn't remember this. But when Tul asks you about whether or not you think actors have a sexual/romantic relationship with each other, you said no, and then use Mew and him as an example. Which is just funny hearing now, and he kinda chuckled at it too, seeming surprised by the mention. Just unexpected and aged just too funny.
I confess of all the BL ships I love MaxTul the most. Not that I think they should end up together in real life (I would die happy if they did but I certainly don't expect it). I just sincerely hope their very special and unique bond lasts a lifetime.
This interview is 1 hour 35 minutes and 55 seconds long but I didn't get bored at all. I love all the questions you asked and Tul was so insightful, giving the answers that we need to know. Thank you for this great content! Love from Indonesia.
I mean, more than one and half hour is still not enough. I just love how Tul speaks. It's so fascinating and the ✨wisdom✨ is over flowing. Aside from Elijah and Direk Perci's interview, this is my second fave so far. I love it so much. Hope you can also interview P'Nuchy the Director of Not Me The Series. Much love from Philippines❤️
I recently was introduced to BL (it is something that has made these awful times easier to get through) . And being a grown up I really, really enjoyed manner of death with all the acting, storyline and darker themes. This interview was great. I wish all the best for his career. Also learned so much from Thai culture.
I was already in love with Tul... but this definitely made me fall even harder!!! :') This interview was so nice to listen to. It's amazing how genuinely and open hearted Tul answered all the questions. I seriously love him so so much! Thank you for the intwerview!
Tul was at his most handsome and adorable here! I really love his laughter. That was truly enjoyable interview in all the aspects! For the island stay I'd pick MoD. It's interesting Tul didn't elaborate on what has happened to MaxTul. My very uneducated guess would be about Max's girlfriend who has posted a couple pic that she has deleted soon after. She seems to be a very famous Thai actress. I think fans were confused, or something... maybe there was some backlash. In any case, I am really looking forward to the next MaxTul project!
There were some rather rude individuals on social media who went after Max they were like a pack of hungry wolves who clearly need to learn a few manners.
I love how he was genuinely interested in how Thai language and Thai culture are received abroad. He is such a polite sweetheart, I love Tul with my whole heart 💕
Came back now that Mew and Tul just got engaged yesterday, October 24, 2024!✨🌻 This is fresh of breath air! I agree with you guys that I can see him in a opera/musical stage when he did the "I dream a dream when times go by" and I was just smiling. Also, what I noticed with Tul's eyes can communicate well too even in a online interview, he can truly express himself well. I can listen to him all day because he is so good (intellectual person) in answering so even if I'm in the gym working out it will be my fitness inspiration😊. More so I am amazed that he is well prepared and he's like presenting a thesis not just a homework, well done Tul👏! Also now, I think he will be in THE OCEAN EYES with Mew and I'm so excited for it! Thanks ladies for this wonderful interview with Tul and I hope a lot of BL fans or even not bl fans to watch this, there is so much to learn from this interview!!!💫
Tul really is loved from all over the world, hello from Spain here :)! 🇪🇦 I'm not good enough at expressing myself in English, but I agree with all of these comments, I just love how down to earth Tul is, and as a queer woman myself I admire him so much for actually doing activism and genuinely caring about the LGBT community and other social aspects. And I'm so happy Tul is interested in learning Spanish! He's got a lot of fans from latin America. Also, I wouldn't be able to hide my smile seeing that hand in the background playing with the cat in some parts of the video 🤣 1:14:00 the problem with that is that the loudest fans on social media are mostly younger fans that don't share our perspective, and often get too invasive :(
I keep going back to this interview and how it is one of my favorite moments in Let's Talk BL - not just because it's Tul but because of how the three of you interacted/had so much fun and how willing he was to get more in depth with the topics and not hold back. It was just a perfect combo of guest/host interaction and serious/fun content - and yeah maybe it was because it was Tul and he's the GOAT but also I think it's you two and the vibe you create on the show.
Tul is such a great person and actor. He is open mind and listens to what you have to say. He is one of my favorite thai bl actors. I hope you can have more podcasts with other thai bl actors in the future!
I love Tul so much. He is incredibly kind and genuine. I wish I could just sit down and have a conversation with him about anything because it would be fun and interesting. I also love how he would want to make a show with some lgbtq people that aren't ever mentioned in Bl or shows in general.
Such a great conversation! I have to rewatch! Mahalo Tul and Mahalo Ayla and Beth Ann. I am really enjoying your pod cast. I anxiously await part 2 of this conversation when Tul arrives in the US! My eldest child identifies as gender fluid and pansexual. They suggested I watch BLs and I am so glad I did, it is another way for me to connect and share interests with my eldest. Plus, I found some wonderful stories. I appreciate that you have created this platform that celebrates love no matter in what form. I appreciate Tul being an advocate for the community. I do love the coming-of-age stories but as a mature fan I appreciate that more varied storylines are being developed and more mature characters are being portrayed. So of course I choose Manner of Death!
Amazing interview. I loved how nicely the conversation flowed. How comfortable you all seemed to be talking to each other. Tul's thoughts were so interesting to listen to (tbh I started to watch it because I saw he talked about ace people and lgbt community overall but got hooked from the start. He was so into it, talking about the language from the get go and had so much to say about everything, and included you both a lot, asked questions himself. Soooooo nice.). I loved that he was so not happy with proposal scene in the MoD xD I'm still angry about it after 2 years (?), it would have been the end of the relationship for me xD It was so lovely to hear him talk about getting rid of prejudice while working in the BL industry (new actors). When I was listening to his take on BL industry and his advice to younger/new actors I thought that he would like First and Khaotung a lot (I don't know if he knows them, these two stole my heart like a month or two ago xd). I have watched a few of your interviews and the actors seem to have a lot of fun/or just are comfy, and appreciate you, so good job really (First and Khao, Book, Mix, and Tul especially - from the ones I had seen).
I got a feeling we'll definitely be seeing more of *Tul* to come with you guys and a series I'd love to see him do one of these days is where he plays a character who is in a interracial same sex marriage (they got married in NY) and he and his partner are fathers of a child they had through surrogate mother and ten years go by and the mom pops up out of the blue wanting to take the child away as she thinks she has a right to do so or I'd love to see him in a series that brings an awareness and highlight to same sex abuse in relationships towards males, because domestic violence relationship towards men aren't ever truly discussed and if so it's glossed over or made a bit fun of or joked about and there are a few short films and a few series that have these topics in it, but more films and series like that need to be made because it's important
Omg he’s super interesting and down to earth and very nice to talk with like he’s super confortable, I would’ve been totally blushing but also not ever wanting to quit the conversation it was sooo fluid !! And omg his cat is sooooo cute definitely stole the whole show 😍
Okay just finished listening the whole thing it was really interesting from both Tul but also you girls all the right questions from very serious to fun ones it’s really pleasing and interesting to have this type of format but also grown ups that do fan girl but also do ask really good questions I randomly clicked on this video and happened to listen the whole thing because i got caught on it 😂. I relate soooo much to the « we got into BL » but there wasn’t really anyone to talk with as grown ups. I feel that I’m just by myself enjoying this industry because I actually don’t know anyone that also do watch this content. Idk if you guys have like a group chat or do podcast with people but that would be so interesting ! I’ll go listen to the other podcasts rn I’m sure this is also just as interesting 😃
Tul is so down-to-earth and seem like a very smart and considerate person. I enjoyed this interview so much, props to the two girls interviewing, you made good questions, were prepared and the interview turned out great. Wish to watch more interviews!
This was a great interview. International fans were really waiting for this and we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. At 1:07:12 what was Tul referring to, what actually happened to Tul & Max?
I think, don't know if I'm right, its because Max got a girlfriend and the shipper fans got really angry. These are people who genuinely believe that MaxTul are/should be together.
@@colleenweisbrich5463 Yes, this was what he referred to. It was and still is very hard for Max and his GF because of the toxicity of some shippers who claim to know better than Max and Tul themselves what kind of relationship they have or whether someone was "betrayed" or not (whether they mean Tul or themselves, LOL). These fanatical shippers don't understand that Tul and Max should be the ones who can define their own relationship, not their so-called fans. Tul has repeatedly expressed his happiness and support for Max and it's obvious that they are as close as ever.
@@aprillen Man, I hate this stuff. I mean, I hate shipping real people as if they're fictional characters, but with no hate to the shippers who don't think they have a right to the actors. This kind of situation gives me the creeps, though.
@@Celsiusing Yeah, I don't like real people shipping either but I'm more or less fine with it as long as everyone doing it is aware that it's a fantasy, a kind of game, separate from real life. But there are always those people who don't get that, who will get fanatical over perceived "proof" of a relationship or "betrayal" of one, who think they know better than the actual people involved, and will start harassing people over it. It's really messed up.
Aww Tul is truly a sweetheart. So kind and genuine and interested in really learning. He didnt just answer questions he asked them too. I like that back and forth interaction. I think of the two shows manner of death has the more healthy relationship. Though Korn and knock are beloved characters the drama around them gets to be a bit much
I watched the whole interview with a big smile on my face ♥️ Tul is such a cool person! I hope you girls get to do a podcast with him soon! I'm also proud of myself for understanding the Thai parts without English subs because I've been learning Thai too for a while now 😁
I love MaxTul. Tul is very well spoken and thoughtful man. Max is hilarious and a bundle of positive energy. When he said about materialism, I feel like that comment is directed at BrightWin. They are taking in all the brand deals but do very little for the community. That’s why I’m not a fan of them. It can be said they are young. But their background is very similar to MaxTul however BrightWin give off a very different vibe to the BL fans. Edit: I didn’t know Tul can write fanfics!!! The pyramid, being a stone worker, falling in love with the sweaty guy next to him. How many of you picture Tul and Max doing this. 😂
By far my most favorite interview you can never go wrong with talking with tul he brought up so many good points. I love together with me as it is a classic and pretty hot but I loved manner of death the suspense and action many twists so hard to choose
You two did a great job and you asked all the right questions. I liked seeing his notes, and knowing how serious he is when it comes to doing interviews, but he still made it fun to watch. He’s such a cutie.
I swear, that was so interesting Tul is definitely someone that we could listen for hours, or have debate with and I think that it's truly amazing. I just loved how he carried the interview with you girls somehow, and the fact that he prepared notes like ? Also, I totally agree with everything he said, in all honesty I'm still pretty much, not a big fan of the ship culture, because it can be TOO intrusive and toxic for the actors and actresses. Fans shouldn't forget that, they're humans just like us, and as he said, this is not the reality after all. And that, even if they're public personalities. I also think, that producers and maybe screenwriters should do some homework, be more realistic, bold in a way, look for new horizons; because, this genre could be so much more and embracing the diversity of LGBTQ community. Again, I'd like to see more representations of Lesbians or Asexual or BI/PAN for example could be very nice. It was very interesting, to see him speak about materialism and explaining some details, like why it is, most of the time, engeneer students. OK going to stop writing now as this comment is a bit messy lol, but thank you girls as always, happy that you had a blast and sharing this with us.
I really love Tul he is really an angel and he will be always my number one in my BL world. I'am as a BL fan from Europe (more specifically from Hungary) really greatfull to you girls to invite him and of course all for your contents. It's really interesting to hear them to talk about what is in their minds and to hear them speak their toughts. Wish you girls the best.
Didn’t think I needed this podcast until I watched this video. I would have shat my pants if I got to talk to any BL actor. Especially Tul, Max, Mile and Apo!!!!
This is so good 🤗 Thank you for inviting our favourite Tul Pakorn. MaxTul are the ones who truly understand and support the LGBTQ community 💕❤️ MaxTul are love 😍
I echo everyone's sentiment here, this is the best interview you've done on this channel and inviting him on here was such a great choice. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, hearing his insight and actually being one of the few actors who are outspoken about bringing awareness to the issues facing us in this world really almost made me cry. I wish I could hug him in person. I know of a couple other BL Thai actors who have also voiced support but to actually be involved to help make that change beyond just representation in media is the most profound to me, so I give my thanks to Tul for acknowledging it/being a voice for that. Being an ally is great but actually giving action of their support is something not many do and it is a must. I'm also incredibly proud of how he incorporated his talk of other identities in the community, such as aces, which a lot of representation is lacking for them. I wish there could be a roundtable of Thai BL actors so they can talk on this subject (while having LGBTQ+ moderator/s) because there are a lot of cishet people who become obsessed with BL's but they do not see real people behind it, to the point where I've seen comments (not in a joking manner, by the way) say something like "BL is real" or so-and-so are a BL couple, when they clearly are a gay couple and not in fantasyland BL. These are REAL people. There are a good amount of LGBTQ+ who watch BL seriously but the amount of misinformation that non-LGBTQ+ are exposed to is a real problem, it hurts us who are LGBTQ+ in real life. To bring it up as well, when there are a CP and people who stan these CP only think of them being together, not that they could be gay irl. They only see them together, which falls in line that's often in BL storylines as falling for another character only etc, not that said character could be gay; I call it the "chosen pairing" because in BL there are many instances of this, rarely do we see characters who own their queerness (Fiat from TT/DSN is one I highly regard who does), rather they are only into the other character because "it's them." It's a very harmful stereotype that I wish BL stories wouldn't incorporate. I am interested to hear more about his role playing a transwoman, I wonder how he feels about the topic of how much of a problem it is that LGBTQ+ are often passed on for these roles and given to cishet actors instead. I know in some industries it is not a subject that comes up, but I've known there is conversation about it in Japan's BL scene and also here in the States. Personally, I am not against cishet actors playing gay roles in BL but I'd rather not have someone who is unwillingly doing "gay for pay" (which let's be honest, good amount are...) and actually someone who has a real heart in being part of telling a story and understanding their character. I make this an important thing because I do know there are BL actors who are honest about being involved in these roles and want to be part of making a change. I've been around Thai BL for some time from when Sotus and Puppy Honey were the main BL shows, along with Bad Romance being popular, so it's come a long way now, which I am thankful for. I am also aware of the differences of cultures and societies, where us in the States have a lot more freedoms than other places, and one's personal life is kept quiet. To piggyback off of the question on what differentiates between BL and gay stories, in my opinion, there is a very obvious line. There are some BL that are very realistic, some extremely realistic where it becomes uncomfortable, but majority have been in BL fantasyland: these stories not only have been taken straight from Yaoi's playbook (toxic themes like rape, forced coercion, extreme controlling/jealousy, are romanticized), but rarely do they focus on the LGBTQ+ experience that gay films do. BL are full fanservice, mostly catered to a straight female audience, and most do not have the range that gay films do. There is an end point in BL: getting into a relationship, feelings reciprocated, etc, but nothing beyond it. Luckily there are great stories now that move away from it and add depth but a lot still do not breach the following: focus on the politics and realities, the LGBTQ+ experience trying to find yourself/understand yourself (or lack of) and your identity in a world that sees you as non-desirable and hated, the conflicting emotion/angst of self-discovery, trying to survive in a world full of bigotry, issues of acceptance, finding love amidst all of this, amongst other aspects. However, a gay film can solely focus on love without those things. It really depends. We all love a good love story regardless and I love Thai BL a lot for its own qualities! At this time now, some BL and gay films are starting to encompass similar storytelling. I can name some BL that do have real depth, Life Love on The Line (Japan) and His (Japan) are absolute perfection, I highly recommend these; although I do classify them more as gay films, even though one is manga sourced. I also am recently enjoying Not Me from GMMTV as well, please watch this if you haven't yet. There's a lot of improvement in Thai BL that I'm very happy to see. Japan has been the main force of BL stories (Yaoi) even back to early 2000's, they've been the front liners before Thai BL, but it's been amazing to see how Thai BL has really skyrocketed it as well. Japan's reign of BL has been in numerous media, not just tv shows/movies but coming from the manga/anime scene. I would say most people's forays into BL started from there, however that has changed with the times since we have more stories and exposure, specifically accessibility (such as English subs). There is also the issue of for example people flocking to BL just because it has Asians, like Kpop fans stanning real people, who then move over to BL, and it should be a subject seriously talking about fetishization that's so prevalent in those spaces. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on it. But going back, there would not be the shows we have right now without these early stories, even with the toxic storylines and low quality, and the actors who have been part of it. They are the bricks laid for all going forward. I think people should really acknowledge that for how it's accessible today and the amount of storytelling that is being produced. Thai BL has really come so far. It’s thanks to people like Tul and Max for their hard work, amongst others. I definitely agree about the daddy of BL comment! Thanks for this interview.
I completely agree with your point about queer films vs. BL, I think that there's a big distinction even in countries that do have a BL industry. Queer films are what we watch to feel seen, heard, and represented and to cry and relate to whereas BLs are what we watch solely for entertainment and the fantasy world/characters/plot, it's a matter of escape vs. reality in my opinion. Although I think it's important to note that the lines are blurring more with dramas like Not Me which incorporate both and focus more on real LGBTQIA issues (I mean there's still a long way to go but it's a start)
@@blueberryomelette Thanks for your reply. I exactly agree about how queer films are more relating to rather than BL as entertainment. It's a good observation. Escape vs Reality, not that one is better than the other, since we do enjoy watching BL, but one is more significant in our life experiences. Yes, that is what I touched on with how the lines are blurring more and more. It really makes me happy to see it and the unique storylines that have been coming out. Not Me is my favorite show at the moment, it is BL but it is not the main focus which makes it so unique. It has a gripping story, characters, and on topics that BL doesn't go into. It's one of the best I've seen with how it doesn't stay at the surface but actually goes into these topics, even if it's uncomfortable to do so. I can imagine that many BL fans are not drawn to this type of story, rather to focus on more light themes especially surrounding school settings etc, but this is one of the most important I've seen been produced in Thai BL. I agree, it is definitely a start and I hope it will influence others to do the same. In my opinion, it is not a perfect drama but it starts a conversation. I think it helps that the director themselves are part of the LGBTQ+ community and the importance they have put on the realities of these irl issues, having someone helping telling this story on a personal level is also what I am thankful for.
@@xh3075 I think we need both types of stories, the LGBTQ+ films and dramas and the cute romances. I really like how lately several BL dramas in various countries have been a lot more mindful of the LGBTQ+ community and tried to make content that will appeal to the BL fans while not alienating the LGBTQ+ community and vice versa. And I really appreciate how Tul understands that a genre/industry that makes money by fetishizing a minority also owes something back to that group of people and can use the popularity of it to change opinions and make real changes by telling positive stories with good representation, and by openly supporting things like marriage equality.
The most enjoyable and very entertaining or probably Tul is very friendly and well-prepared for his interview. Stay safe and healthy to all BL lovers/fans and all bed to you both.
You are my ultimate crush and idol in bl series.. Your chemistry with Maxx is so insane... I am hoping to see you in a new series after death manner.. Love from philippines.. Love your smile..
Is Tul great or what! 💕 1:14:00 I totally agree with Tul, Hell yeah fans think/HOPE/expect/cultivate that the ships are physical intimate (f*cking 😄), especially because, us from the western countries come from a culture with non to little shipping, so that when fans see that, they believe it's true. Just watch the Waanjais (😬😆). You galls are way more realistic that a lot of the fans, also, new fans joining the BL world is confused and believe what a BL couple is betraying, the more lovers relationship than the professional.
You guys. I'm rendered speechless. This was the most fun, chill, interesting interview you guys have done (and that's saying something) so far! Tul is just a gem of a person and i feel like if this wasn't an "interview" he would still have been this charismatic and friendly towards you - because in fact this felt like friends hanging out and talking more than anything. As always the level of cool that you guys manage to keep in front of your guests never fails to impress me cuz let me tell you, in this particular interview more than any other, i don't think i would've been able to not embarrass myself in front of him 😅 i think you guys managed to express how much you (and other BL fans) admire and love Tul and it was so endearing to see his reactions to it, he looked genuinely surprised/happy! It pained me a little that at the end he was making hand hearts to you guys and you missed it cuz omg so adorable 😍 but it's okay, y'all are friends now and he's gonna be a new member of the pod so it's cool 😂 Seriously, great great talk. I loved all the questions and I loved how he studied??? for everything beforehand??? Honestly, this man. I know that a lot of us fans tend to harbour romantic feelings towards the actors we love but Tul is one person i would absolutely love to be friends with. Like, i just want to hang out and talk with him and support him. He's so good ugh 😩 Congratulations to you for getting here. You both totally deserve all the praise for being such amazing hosts and having created an awesome space for us to talk about this thing we love. Love you guys ❤️
I watched the whole video never skip any part of it. It’s really fun and Tul is very handsome. He is very humble. I like the show. Wish him all the best and happy everyday🥰
when you asked tul what his favorite musical was i instantly thought “phantom of the opera” because it’s my favorite musical and thought again “no that’s not his favorite” just for him to say it was his favorite😂😂😂
i’m not even halfway through this interview that my mouth already hurts from smiling. he is such a genuine person and his answers are amazing. thank you for hosting him! and omg his smile, voice, charisma and his insights is just sooooo amazing. AND he is a cat lover okg how not to love him
By far one of my favourite episodes! And yes Tul, we all adore you. You better believe it 😉 I would definitely go with Manner Of Death as well as my answer. Thank you so much girls for this and Tul for accepting and coming on. I 100% believe you would join them and I can't wait for that moment to happen ❤️
Thank you so much for inviting Tul! I will choose Manner Of Death as I love the ending scene too:) I love Tul so much because he is so sincere and open about everything. I have learnt a lot from this video too:)
I just discovered Thai BL a few months ago. So many series to see and catch up on. I am binge watching a bunch of them. Thanks for this channel, what an awesome opportunity to learn more about Thailand and these talented actors!
I soo love, Tul ! I love that he is true to himself, not hiding his true self and a very nice down to earth person like Mew Suppasit , who he'll star with on the film , The Ocean Eyes. Looking forward to them teaming up. They are both so talented and good looking, both speak fluent English ( with Thai accent of course , Mew have more of a thick Thai accent than Tul tho" ;-) AND very good actors ♥
Hes nothing like Mew thankfully ,Mew is trash ,tried to rear end Art and kept a suttle sexual attack on Gulf ,allthat bull shit earlier on about bounderies and a line that shoudnt be crossed,
Tul is the most genuine, considerate on others, humble down to earth guy, intelligent and smart guy. We need a friend like Tul in our lives. Max is very lucky to have Tul as co-star. Wish Tul all the best ! Thank you for inviting Tul as your guest. Tul is a great guy 👏.
You are very sweet Phuong but if Max is very lucky to be very friend with Tul. Tul is very unfortunate to be friend with Max.
@@mariaantoniettasanna2114 He considers himself lucky though and I think he knows better than you...

And when he said we should expect them to contribute to the LGBTQ+ community. i love this man
@Dan no it didn’t
@Dan Actually even tul got it wrong. Its not lgb. It is yaoi. The characters are seme and uke, not gay.
@@simonefabiane9562 bruh seme and uke are tops and bottoms their gay and deal with gay problems in yaoi too
@@ethan123p4 No, if they were gay, they would be called gay.
Now l am expecting an episode with Mewtul😌
Thank you for this interview, I loved every minute of it.
@Dan Your gatekeeping is not valid. Stop spreading your hate and toxicity.
I saw that they were friends when they were together at a wedding, I think Tul has a photo with him on instagram. Tay is such a social butterfly 😂
I love that Tul acknowledged that sexual fluidity is real. That's all we needed to know.
So he’s sexually fluid then 🤩
@Dan Don't tell other people what identities they can or cannot claim.
@LGBS I haven't mentioned sexual fluids at all, and also ew
Tul is such a great spokesman for the industry & talking and raising all the current issues he is such a humble king 👑
Tul must be an amazing friend to hang out with. he's so nice, fun and down to earth
Also I would love to see Tul as a Thai teacher, he explains it so well and so eloquently
I just love how Tul came all prepared with his note sheets! It's so great to listen to this interelligent young person! So important that he also pointed out how important it is for the BL industry and their actors and creators to be a voice for our community and to help us gain the same rights as everyonelse has"
Oh my I'm loosing it when Tul mentioned the non-binary community and the asexual community one of the most underrepresented people in our community!
Just unexpected and aged just too funny.
tul pakorn grew up so well, so dignified
I confess of all the BL ships I love MaxTul the most. Not that I think they should end up together in real life (I would die happy if they did but I certainly don't expect it). I just sincerely hope their very special and unique bond lasts a lifetime.
Call me by your name is literally my favorite movie of all time...I'm surprised how famous that movie is in Thailand.
And yes...Manner of Death!!!
Much love from Philippines❤️
i second the suggestion of interviewing P'Nuchy! That would be a great one to listen ✨
I recently was introduced to BL (it is something that has made these awful times easier to get through) . And being a grown up I really, really enjoyed manner of death with all the acting, storyline and darker themes. This interview was great. I wish all the best for his career.
Also learned so much from Thai culture.
I love love love Tul, he is so humble and polite. he takes every question seriously and has a great sense of humor
I love Tul here! He’s smart and genuine. Love him!!
May I recommend Mew Suppasit as a guest for next time? Thanks!!
I was already in love with Tul... but this definitely made me fall even harder!!! :') This interview was so nice to listen to. It's amazing how genuinely and open hearted Tul answered all the questions. I seriously love him so so much! Thank you for the intwerview!
Same dear💜💜
i can honestly say, apart from your interview with Direk Perci and Elijah, this is my fav interview of yours EVER! Manner of Death
Came back now that Mew and Tul just got engaged yesterday, October 24, 2024!✨🌻
This is fresh of breath air! Thanks ladies for this wonderful interview with Tul and I hope a lot of BL fans or even not bl fans to watch this, there is so much to learn from this interview!!!💫
every bl fan should watch this video bc tul has some really good points about the whole bl industry
Also, I wouldn't be able to hide my smile seeing that hand in the background playing with the cat in some parts of the video 🤣
1:14:00 the problem with that is that the loudest fans on social media are mostly younger fans that don't share our perspective, and often get too invasive :(
He is literally SMART!!! Periodt. I'm so proud of him
Coming in clutch 1 and half year later answering the question: Definitely would watch Manner of Death
Watching this at 3 am, very sweet interview!
Tul is such a talented and smart man. No wonder we all love him and that hes such an icon in the BL world
I keep going back to this interview and how it is one of my favorite moments in Let's Talk BL - not just because it's Tul but because of how the three of you interacted/had so much fun and how willing he was to get more in depth with the topics and not hold back. It was just a perfect combo of guest/host interaction and serious/fun content - and yeah maybe it was because it was Tul and he's the GOAT but also I think it's you two and the vibe you create on the show.
He is literally one of the sweetest actors I've seen in an interview!!! Thanks for such a great interview!
Tul is such a great person and actor. He is open mind and listens to what you have to say. He is one of my favorite thai bl actors. I hope you can have more podcasts with other thai bl actors in the future!
MANNER OF DEATH!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for this interview it was SO fun! Cant wait for the third host Tul!
I know I want a second season so bad.
I love Tuls advice
I love Tul so much. He is incredibly kind and genuine. I wish I could just sit down and have a conversation with him about anything because it would be fun and interesting. I also love how he would want to make a show with some lgbtq people that aren't ever mentioned in Bl or shows in general.
Wishing you happiness and success in everything
Absolutely LOVED this interview! Tul is seriously amazing.
I got a feeling we'll definitely be seeing more of *Tul* to come with you guys and a series I'd love to see him do one of these days is where he plays a character who is in a interracial same sex marriage (they got married in NY) and he and his partner are fathers of a child they had through surrogate mother and ten years go by and the mom pops up out of the blue wanting to take the child away as she thinks she has a right to do so or I'd love to see him in a series that brings an awareness and highlight to same sex abuse in relationships towards males, because domestic violence relationship towards men aren't ever truly discussed and if so it's glossed over or made a bit fun of or joked about and there are a few short films and a few series that have these topics in it, but more films and series like that need to be made because it's important
i fell in love with Tul all over again. Thank you girls, cant wait for another interview!!
Também quero saber. I wanna know too.
Truly adore watching this man just exist.
Very nice and honest interview. Great job girls! and thank you Tul for being a lovely person. Best of luck for all your future projects and in life 🙂
he is just... amazing, so sincere, i couldn't be more in love with him
Aww Tul is truly a sweetheart.
OK I haven't stopped smiling. I admire him even more now!
I just fall in love with Tul like he sounds so gentle that I want to listen to him the whole day! Thanks for interviewing him🧡
By far my most favorite interview you can never go wrong with talking with tul he brought up so many good points.
Girls this was so much fun. I really love Tul and he is geniounly a wonderful and transparent person. 🥰👏👏
Tul's rational thoughts so admirable
(heart eyes)
This is so good 🤗
Thank you for inviting our favourite Tul Pakorn.
MaxTul are the ones who truly understand and support the LGBTQ community 💕❤️
MaxTul are love 😍
Thank you for this interview. I am a recent MaxTul fan and this video satisfied a lot my curiosities.
@@blueberryomelette as a gay man I disagree plus there is no Q++++ nonsense that's all labels we didn't ask for, Detrans awareness is on the rise
Queer is a homophobic cult I'm gay not a label that was hurting real people keep all those labels out of BL projects.
My desert island show would have to be Manner of Death because as Tul said the suspense and the thinking get me every time.
I have just admire this man. Their friendship is what we love
Manner of Death was my first big show and fell for BL and Max and Tul
Is Tul great or what! 💕 1:14:00 I totally agree with Tul, Hell yeah fans think/HOPE/expect/cultivate that the ships are physical intimate (f*cking 😄), especially because, us from the western countries come from a culture with non to little shipping, so that when fans see that, they believe it's true. Just watch the Waanjais (😬😆). You galls are way more realistic that a lot of the fans, also, new fans joining the BL world is confused and believe what a BL couple is betraying, the more lovers relationship than the professional.
Great interview! He seems so kind and genuine. Can't wait to see more from him in the future.
tul is honestly one of the most beautiful souls on this earth.
Te amo Tul, gracias por existir. ❤
I never imagine wanting to be a celebrity’s bestfriend, until i know Tul. Hellooo i’m here future bestieee ☝🏼
I'm watching this super late but love Tuller... great interview
He's got fans in Nigeria too ...I love him ❤ 💕 ,and I choose manner of death.
I love this interview so much it's really nice getting to see this side of Tul and hear his thoughts and opinions. made me love him even more
It pained me a little that at the end he was making hand hearts to you guys and you missed it cuz omg so adorable 😍 but it's okay, y'all are friends now and he's gonna be a new member of the pod so it's cool 😂
Seriously, great great talk. He's so good ugh 😩
Congratulations to you for getting here. You both totally deserve all the praise for being such amazing hosts and having created an awesome space for us to talk about this thing we love. Love you guys ❤️
He shared just positivity. ✨
You better believe it 😉
I would definitely go with Manner Of Death as well as my answer. Thank you so much girls for this and Tul for accepting
and coming on. I 100% believe you would join them and I can't wait for that moment to happen ❤️
that was amazing, Tul is wonderful! you are also amazing girls, following you here from Brazil! 🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️🙏🏼
What have u watched so far?
