    Question for the physics and astronomy comment section experts out there! 📢
    Assuming a stable and traversable (large enough to fly a human spacecraft through) wormhole could be created, would the wormhole itself have mass?
    I ask this because in this simulation, it looks like light is being bent significantly around the wormhole, meaning it would be similar to a black hole in mass and gravity, right?
    But if that were true, wouldn’t it just be a black hole?

    • @smileyface6583
      @smileyface6583 2 года назад +8

      It would be a black hole, but instead of it’s end connecting to a singularity, the end will connect to the end of another black hole, making both horizons traversable(assuming your vessel is strong enough to not get pulled apart by the immense gee forces)

    • @matthewgumabon7498
      @matthewgumabon7498 2 года назад +3

      @karkalicious Thanks for the reply. But it got me thinking… If the wormhole has mass, it must have the equivalent gravity. So it would be easy to fall into a wormhole, but wouldn’t it be extremely difficult to “leave” out of the “other end” if the wormhole was really massive?

  • @Tumakoband
    @Tumakoband 8 месяцев назад

    This animation is a combination of two things: instantaneous travel through a higher dimension by a wormhole and light being distorted due to the immense gravity produced by a black hole.

    Ingredientes
    300 gr de maíz blanco partido
    200 gr de poroto pallares blanco
    200 gr de panceta
    150 gr de chorizo criollo
    1/2 chorizo colorado
    200 gr de pechito de cerdo
    1 cebolla
    500 gr de calabaza
    La salsa picante
    100 g de cebolla de verdeo picada
    1 taza de aceite mezcla
    Pimentón y ají molido a gusto
    1/2 taza de agua
    Preparación
    Paso 1
    Remojar los porotos pallares y el maíz blanco 24 horas antes de preparar el guiso (guardar en recipiente con agua en heladera).
    Paso 2
    Cortar en cubos todos los ingredientes.
    Paso 3
    Cocinar en una cacerola el maíz junto con los porotos, la calabaza y la cebolla con 2 litros de agua.
    Paso 4
    Revolver con cuchara de madera cada 15 minutos.
    Paso 5
    Pasada una hora de cocción sumar las carnes. Revolver.
    Paso 6
    La salsa picante. Picar la cebolla de verdeo y verterla en una ollita con el aceite a baja temperatura. La idea es que se cocine lento y no quede crujiente.
    Paso 7
    Añadir 2 cucharadas de pimentón y 2 cucharadas de ají molido a medio vaso de agua y sumarlo al aceite. Mezclar. Cocinar 5 minutos más y retirar.
    Paso 8
    Servir el locro bien caliente en cazuela de barro y la salsa picante en recipiente aparte para incorporar a gusto.

    I wonder what would the 3D space between those 2 spherical entry-exit point would look like.
    If we use classical "3D-space represented as 2D-surface" simplification, the 2D-cylindrical surface would allow a 2D being to see the image of itself, given the relatively small diameter of the whole passage. If we transfer that analogy into real 3D space, then the spaceship's crew should see its "reflection" too, while in the rransfer zone.

    • @VitorHugoOliveiraSousa
      @VitorHugoOliveiraSousa 2 года назад +1

      You can model the curvature of space-time with relativity formulas, just like they modeled the black hole in Interestelar. Whatever this is possible in the real world is more a question if it's needing negative energy to apply negative pressure to keep the mouths open and/or how to build suck extremely curvature without a singularity (because building one with a singularity in the middle you couldn't cross it). But that space-time can mathematically have this form and you can simulate the light ray's path through it, it's not a question.

    • @bentley2495
      @bentley2495 2 года назад

      @@VitorHugoOliveiraSousa The negative energy you're talking about to counteract the pressure of the wormhole collapsing on itself is *mathematically impossible per general relativity*. This is as realistic as a model of you standing on the "surface" of Jupiter intact.

    I'm not a physicist, so would someone explain the entry mechanics behind the hypothetical wormhole. Does the direction of entry change the destination point? Or will you end up going to the same location regardless of which side of the mouth that you enter? If so, what happens if two objects enter the mouth on opposite sides?

    • @blazecrep7849
      @blazecrep7849 2 года назад +4

      Im not a Physicist, but I think that even for a Physicist it's hard to know, basically because the nature of the Wormhole its poorly understood.
      But, i will try my best with my knowledge and my not-Native english to with you good answer.
      To understand where we'll you end you need to understand vectors first.
      Vector are nothing but the direction of the energy that makes you to move respectly to another.
      In other words, if you moves to right, your Vector will be a "Right Vector" actually it only works in close systems like earth were you have a Base to compared movements, but for your understanding, I hope, it's enough.
      The vector don't change in the voidness of space, instead another vector Interfere, to stop a object you need a opposite vector, and make a Straight on going object it's right, you will need a Left Vector.
      Now, why do I explain this? Simple because crossing a portal or a Wormhole, that are basically the same, your vector do NOT change, that means that if you enter from the "North Pole" of one Mouth, you wilk end at the south Pole of the other mouth at your back, your vector didn't change, your position does.
      Like a Hall, with multiple doors with parallel doors at the other side.
      Any way if you put a Mouth at Alfa Centauri, you will end always in Alfa centauri Regardless of the side you take respectly, you will end having the Wormhole at you always.
      To Objects crossing from opposite sides, will see each other, and with enough space, they will not crash with each other.
      Two Objects entering both from the north pole of their respectly mouth is more interesting and a Question that myself, don't have enough knowledge to give you an answer.
      If you did not understand something cause my English or the explanation itself, you are free to ask and thanks for reading.

      La diferencia radica en dos cosas.
      1. El Agujero de gusano no es tan masivo, probablemente no tendría más masa que la del Sol si quieres atrevezarlo.
      2. Un agujero de Gusano es Transitable, puedes salir y entrar sin miedo a terminar en un bucle espacio-temporal que terminará con aplastar te en una prensa de espacio tiempo, almenos que el agujero negro colapse, causan que o: 1. Explote en liberando toda la masa absorbida en forma de radiación y luz o 2. Que se convierta en un agujero Negro, que es lo más probable.
