Massive shout out to anyone who made chris either a clearly evil entity or a biblical angel
Or ultra shitpost, respect ++++
Chris is easily my favorite character
@@TheGoopGod Yeah, Chris is a real one.
2:04 was so fucking good
3:27 is my favorite chris
I really REALLy adore how Joshua has a consistent style, but Chris is interpreted in so many different ways
well yeah chris can be anything bc it’s a sprite and people had fun with that
Except that one guy (or woman) who turned Josh into a human
While watching this comparison, my eyes keep darting back over to the re-animated because literally every scene is that much more expressive. Great job everyone!
Same. The lip synching in the original is very minimal.
should i skip school for youtube video making? i making good stuff but i need much time to making. maybe replace school with making videos. i have two girlfriends. thanks for your opinion dear ete
@@AxxLAfriku I see our great AxxL is attending a great work of art
I wouldn't say literally, there was a couple that had no place being involved in this.
@Logan Roof News lol, touch grass nerd
6:48 looks god damn amazing, reminds me of good old 2D Disney
This side-by-side really shows just how much better some fun & quality animation makes everything seem. Even the voice acting seems better despite being the same!!
Its quite simple, Animation and the Voice acting go hand in hand. IF they just look like emotionless puppets, you won't get the full effect. Sesame Street, are masters of this art, for with simple motions you at the very least get an idea of their current emotion, but that isn't present, it just looks like wooden mannequins with voiceboxes in the original. Expressions give you a visual key to a person's emotions.
@@Prince_Smugarina true
Especially Chris's voice actor. He does a passable Job tbh
I was going to comment the same, that even the voice acting wasn't that bad, and at times it's actually very good.
Yeah, Moses’ infamous “noooo!” sounded infinitely better now that the animation looked more expressive
15:35 Huge props to the animator for getting the haha funi scene and actually animating it instead of overmemeing it lol
Moses: No, NO!!!
Fr the animator actually did so good
It’s either zaurel or zaupel.. my iPads too cracked to know😭
Upon watching this it has become apparent to me that Joshua really had chemistry with that one tiger background character. They fought side by side in battle, the tiger was the only one to defend him when everyone else was against him, there was truly some great potential for them. Joshua x Caleb ftw
*Grabs tablet ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
… I hate that you pointed this out and now I see it as well.
@@zestoryseasand2342 Awwww yeahhhhhhhhhhh
@@sabrinadelco9396 Your perception has forever been changed lmao
Oh...well I wasn't expecting a ship but...
10:57
Everyone talks about the "No!... NOOOOO!" part. But I find this part so goddamn underrated. "ALRIGHT EVERYBODY!...... Uhm..... LET... BEAT THESE GUYS!" LMAOOO
The model clipping animated parts in that scene was phenomenal.
And honestly kudos to everyone for being able to animate a kid as... well... a kid.
the fact you called others to reanimate it was good enough but the fact you did a side by side comparision is amazing.good job
If he didn't somebody else would
@Name He's a troll, REport him and move on, and yes, he wasted his time doing this to every comment like a jabroni
I like how at 18:07 an artist named Ritual Sacrifice animated the ritual sacrifice line :)
I think the reanimated scenes really highlight the voice acting in this... The voice acting (other than the infamous "No... Nooo" part) actually is pretty good overall, Its just the unnatural/ stilted dialogue and script that makes it's so awkward. Also it's like they were all directed to not raise their voices too much like they were recorded in a library or something
personally I think it's interesting that they added the gold water scene instead of being honest and having Aaron massacre the idol worshippers.
I think they were trying not to make the microphone peak too much? It says in the credits he actually used a professional recording studio.
noo NOOO is litreally meme of the movie
it doesnt need to be good for our enjoyment
21:11 i didn'T EXPECT SUCH PROFESSIONAL ANIME LEVELS WHOA
SAMEEEE
21:14 And it then turned into what ever the fuck this is.
12:24 is my favorite part of the reanimation. Looks like something straight out of Prince or Egypt except with animals, which is what (I’m pretty sure) the original was trying to convey.
I know it’s my favorite part too. I could watch a whole movie or tv show with that animation
I also liked the evil interpretation of chris
But Prince of Egipt was for kids. And true Old Testament stories have adult motives. Soo... it felt like cartoon for adults.
@@karolinakuc4783 god is unironically the most cartoonish character in the bible
It was about the story that goes like: "Local man and God destroys all of Egypt, releases Satan to kill firstborn, opens up the ocean, kills Pharaoh because God told him to save the slaves."
omg 3:03 was so cool !! the fact that they did stop-motion - the dedication 😱
The reanimated version turned a movie infamously awful into a genuinely good movie
@Just wow why you linking random videos?
No, no it didn’t.
The script and voice acting is still terrible, and no amount of animation will change that
It's a good animation but it's not a standalone movie. The sounds and voice acting is still terrible, it's way too short to even be considered a movie etc.
Ultimately this is just kinda poking fun at JatPL and it's funny as hell which is really what it wants to be and there's nothing wrong with that.
@@DJFalcoOfficial It’s a bot!
@@kaiserquasar3178 Also the plot is still nonsensical.
Not to mention that the creepy dialogue from Moses and the Angel are still there.
But at the end of the day, it’s parody of the film like you said.
I love how the Dad randomly becomes a model dad and then his wife is confused even though it was two different animators and styles. Just goes to show how absolutely forced the parents' turn around is.
Ikr? Kid has biblical dream then suddenly his parents love each other
I love the reanimated. Seeing it right by the original is kinda crazy. It surprisingly makes the movie more tolerable from a story standpoint too.
15:36 I can't for the life of me decide which is better lol
It would work as a standalone because you instantly know that it's a joke and yes, it's funny af

The art is so good! The animators put so much love into this.
Yes i too love the original
I did my best!
And the remake is pretty good too
06:48 Alex Henderson's work was magical
It’s underrated
I like how the re-animated is basically one long meme and it’s still way better than the original. I can tell before I can’t stop watching the re-animated version and I made a conscious effort to trying and watch them both.
14:57 I love how the cheers stop abruptly but the applause fades out
This reanimated kinda made me realize that the voice acting and the story, for the most part, aren't that bad in the original. It's just really lacking in art direction and animation (and of course some voice acting and story beats as well). Amazing job to all the animators in this project! I especially enjoyed the really cinematic animations; they really did the impossible by making this movie look cool.
I think the angel is a genuinely okay voice actor, even when I watched Saber's review of the original. He doesn't seem like he'd be out of place as a voice in a kids tv show.
1:53 I love the expressiveness and body language put in this one
This version really shows how much care went into the reanimated. Even for the less experienced animators it’s obvious they put in a lot of effort for the posing and acting that the original didn’t.
having hundereds of artists collaborating on a single project has created one of the most visually appealing animation styles ive ever seen
It’s funny that Saber’s channel has equal parts of “Christian” and “furry” in the mix yet it works and everyone is okay with it.
christians and furries become one under the name of saberspark
3:27 Really loved Adreamera's take on Chris's design. It really fits in with the film's biblical story.
This really puts into perspective how absolutely genius the reanimated version is! Mega congrats to everyone who contributed!
26:40 this had me dying with laughter.
LMAOOOOOO SAME
I just couldn't stop laughing for like 10 min
15:36 They probably had an all-out war on who got to animate that part
oh 100 likes
Nah it was reserved in advance
@@datenegassie that’s true. Still, just the thought of people competing to get that part is quite funny. That should be an animated group project as well xD. All joking aside the animations are amazing! 🖤
Lol
And it was a good choice: it was one of the best.
13:11 ayyy there's my scene!! WOOO!!!
Good job
One of my most "I will remember forever" funny moments: 10:32 , that only works if one payed attention to Saberspark review. (i did, and still laughing)
Lol, absolutely.
18:19 + 24:07 some of my favourite animations here, absolutely phenomenal!
Finally, the holy grail . . . I'VE WAITED 10,000 YEARS FOR THIS

2:05 ok but that one was epic af
What's funny is that looking at the reanimated, not only do I feel invested in it 10 times more then the original, but the voice acting, for the way it is, honestly improves! everyone did wonderful!
I'm still so proud of everyone. ;w;
So happy to have worked on this.
Thanks for uplaoding the comparison! People I showed the Reanimaed version too have not seen the original and have next to no clue how much love and effort was poured into this thing as a result.
I suspect nobody you showed the reanimated version to would believe how deeply bad the original was; it's hard to believe when you've actually seen it...
3:24 the difference in the amount of attention that Joshua is presenting is striking lol
The reanimated version certainly takes the phrase "one man's trash is another man's treasure" to a new level.
I would genuinely die to see some shows made in some of these animation styles, they’re all good but some are like, an entirely different level
I love that Alex Henderson's animation of the splitting of the Red sea gives a nod to, by far, the most beautiful thing Dreamworks has ever put into animation from their studio...
18:27 Damn, this one is impressive. It's so incredibly smooth. You almost never see traditional animation anymore.
15:36
the moment you’ve all been waiting for
6:59 honestly under appreciated lol caught me off guard
The joke at 10:31 makes a lot of sense now, that's absolutely hilarious!
lmao
This is so beautiful, great job to everyone who participated in this collab. And of course, the most replayed scene would be the "NO! NOOOOOOOOO!"
These two animated masterpieces deserve to be shown in cinemas.
Only reanimated version
26:18 This smooth traditional animation though..
I can feel the love and dedication and talent in every scene of the reanimation. I cannot express how much it makes me feel. I literally want to cry after watching it every time-in a really good way. Amazing job to everyone who worked on this!
7:47 This explains everything I'm feeling but couldn't explain with words.
3:45 I love Rebecca's animations. Glad and surprised she was on here.
1:38 not even 3 minutes into the video and it's already amazing
Among us and persona 4?
Amoguz
with expressions and character design alone, the animators managed to make this 200x more interesting and i actually got invested in it
The animation, the quality, thr tween, the lip sync, IS JUST SO FRIGGEN AWESOME
The reanimated version makes the characters...well..have an actual character, like Chris does feel like your chill uncle and Joshua like a little brat
It's amazing how it utilizes the terrible voice acting to it's benefit
Well yeah what most people don't realize is animation at least in terms of story telling is heavily visual based. Show, don't tell you know.
1:30 Less than one minute in, my biggest surprise is seeing Pokémon Sword and Shield crossing over with Joshua and the Promised Land.
1:38 and somehow the Among Us crossover is 100x less surprising.
Woah, this is absolutely epic!! Good job on getting it done, everyone--you all really retold this story in a way nobody else could!
11:01 I just find this part so funny for some reason
All the art in the reanimated is beautiful but goddamn Everytime I hear this movie's lines it feels so much like a cult
It is a cult lmao, everything is a cult if it shames people for being themselves (in ways that don't hurt others.)
It's funny how expressive characters and appealing animation makes even the clunkiest of voice acting just that much better
Ok, I am a minute and 44 seconds in, and I'm already impressed by how much folks tried to stay faithful to the idea and give the original it's credit. There are some crazy ones in there, and plenty of ones that kept the theme and changed the scene style, lots of good stuff, but when I see a shot for shot remake, with better art, I think I see something like what the original was meant to be.
Some of these are so damn good. I wouldn't mind seeing a full blown film from some of them instead of the few seconds they had on here. Amazing. Kudos to all the hard work put out by everyone. Fantastic job!!!
There were some animators who I wanted to watch all the way through to the end. I loved the very short one by Onichocaya, loved the design of the protagonist by Alex Weaver. Teddy Maza's... that whole breaking the 4th wall bit was great.
So many did an amazing job.
2:04 ARE YOU GUYS SEEING THIS TOO? Holy crap that’s talent
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
you can really see how much love the reanimated animators put into their work
2:52 despite the movie being terribly made, the reanimated one made this scene SO FRICKEN HILARIOUS
The Reanimated Version looks so lively and full of imagination, while The "Original" looks like a cheap knockoff someone made in Unity.
_Incredible Job, Guys !_
one of the most fascinating changes and details is showing how hurt joshua really is in the house scenes, it adds a lot to his character
The side by side comparison, so helpful. Congratulations to all the artists who worked on the reanimated version. My eyes kept mostly to the left screen.
5:34 instantly laughed at it
ah, thank you! I made that one lol
I give a huge or more likely HUMAGOUS RESPECT to all the animators to pull this effort on re-animated this movie!
GREAT JOB SABERSPARKS AND THE ANIMATORS!!! 👏👏👏
5:33
i really dont know why this made me laugh as hard as it did
Hey Saber, since your a fan of "Christian" content, then have you ever heard of Vatican Miracle Examiner its an anime where it follows two priests investigate miracle claims on behalf of the Vatican. But guess what, Christianity more specifically Catholicism is not the main focus of the series but the mystery behind those claims. Its an interesting Mystery/Thriller for having a lot religious imagery let alone in an anime. If you check out the series and find it interesting, can you do a video on it(Review or What the HELL)
Also, where's the video on the Jehovah's Witnesses cartoon?
i hate these comments so much with a burning passion. because of these comments i didn't think that technoblade had cancer. they laugh at the situation ytubets ate at and then they post the same thing to each and every comment they find. simply to spread, "the word," ive gotta ask what word they're spreading in the reply section of a comment about someome suggesting that saberspark does a review on another set of particular bad Christian content on a comparison video on saber's most recent project called Joshua and the promised land reanimated. im so angry who's gonna see this? people looking through these reply sections engaging in conversation in the reply will see this and this alone will spoil the entire conversation. if i found out who is responsible for this i wll personally come to their home, strangle them, dismember their bodies and then mutilate them via toxic radiation, spanking, whipping the limbs and then disposing them in a volcano. then still being angry, i will...
@【BL4NKTTY】 imagine wanting to annoy others
So I’m not emotionally attached to these characters, but that hug at the end was actually pretty wholesome, just because of how much more expressive the characters were. Well, this whole thing was glorious, I loved all of it!
Nice, Can you give me a time stamp of when the hug is please?
I'm so proud of all of the animators involved, you did amazing!
Nothing says "praise God" like an animation that looks like it was done on a toaster. meanwhile the reanimated version is a 100/10! Fantastic
I watched this twice in a row. I like how some animators seriously tried, some made it funny. All the more interesting to watch :)
21:07 i love this
Well done to everyone that animated yall did sooo good all the background props and inside jokes are so funny "everybody err let's beat these guys"
3:10 I love how Chris looks here!

5:48 I love that Monthy Python reference in remake. So hilarious

28:29 this still scares the shit out of me xD
Congrats to whom ever helped with the animation. This was sick!
This is so glorious
I love every single reanimated scene including the ones with "ugly" styles because there really is every style, it's so good
edit: wow, I never knew this movie had such a pro-genocide message, even knowing it was a bible story and that the OId Testament is just like that. the re-animated scenes that make the angel look extra sarcastic and dishonest make it SO much more bearable

It's honestly fun seeing different styles every few seconds or so, and how different artists would design Joshua. This is genuinely such a good film.
15:37
*"NO, NOOOOOOO!!!"*
- Moses.
5:10 I still love the style this one was drawn in.
I would watch, and probably pay for the movie if it looked like that
When I see these reanimate collabs, I always think of how studios often don't allow their animators to show this much talent.
Thank you for making this possible again, Saberspark.
It's pretty wild to see how the reanimated version is vastly different from the original version. The side by side video really highlights that.
Great job to everyone who contributed. Wonderful art styles and creativity. You all made this watchable!
