This is my first time ever watching you, I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. I'm new to chess, and I'll be watching each video you release! Good luck on the journey. Everyone's rooting for you!
I have been studying chess since I was a kid, but really playing much more since 2019, when I when Covid started and we had to stay home, mother was slowly dying of Parkinson’s, and last year did pass on. I’m always looking for new ideas, or ideas 💡 I’d not known about yet. I really on chess to get me thru the daze.
From another old but ambitious chess student in NYC, I hope your family member is feeling better, and that you'll get that FM title. Enjoy the journey!
Thanks for the support, and yes, it is an adventure and the fun is the trodding of the road. As to the other point, no, but it was a foregone conclusion and no false hopes were ever erected.
Hope all’s well now. To err is indeed human! Applaud your patient practice, surely will build tactical vision. I have bad habit of blitzing out move since I rarely play long games & as is lose too many on time. Perhaps that’s why my puzzle rating is stuck. Noticed you often looked 4 or 5 moves deep; clearly depth makes a huge difference in accuracy. Bravo.
For sure I am glad you are back on track

Good.
Glad you are back and got through the difficult times. A fan for you to reach your goal at the young age of the 50’s.
😊
Welcome back Albert. I have missed "Study Chess with me".
@@nevilleduplessis1750 Thanks Neville!
I am 69 and still learning...
I am also a student for life. Nothing of what I do or did can be called a natural consequence of French Lit. 😀
