Looks like the Catlins judging by the sea lions - love my Funka Delica too..... had water up to the doors, bellied in river sand and climbed a mountain or 2 - well done people - very brave !
Some shots are from Catlins, you are right. Some are taken from the coast, Old Man range and so.....thanks for a comment bro, hope you have fun with your van ! :) I sold mine recently, moved to a new project.
Thanks bro, have 2 bashplates actually. One made my friend and other one bought off guy who makes them up in North Island.Side ladder is my own diy project. :)
I have one, and the answer is No. It's bloody great on the beach and on some mild off road adventures, but it won't do what these guys are doing in the L400. Mind you the diesel D5 is extremely powerful and comfortable and very fuel effiecient and I love it. These are great Vans, very underestimated.
@@bluewanderer9903 Hi, It has the 4N14 2.3L 4 cylinder turbo diesel (110Kw) with the 6 speed Evo gear box and weighs around 1.9t. It's power to weight ratio makes it a zippy little thing and I can get around 7L/100Km, but when I drive it like I stole it I get around 10L/100Km. It's a lot of fun and very comfortable and it's a bit like a Tardis, small on the outside but roomy inside.:)
@@DCA001TUBE is that the one with all the expensive balancer shaft problems that mitsubishi wont aknowledge, like in Outlanders? I love the look of d5 as much as I like l400 space gear. I have very rare lwb diesel l400 in series 2, looks and feels like brand new car (grade 4 on auction sheet with 50k on the clock), but it sounds a bit agricultural with its 2.8 4m40 140hp. Car feels great on the road very nice to drive just unpleasant to listen to, this is the only reason I may consider d5 bit would like to try one first.
@@bluewanderer9903 Yeh, I did a fair bit of research on that balance shaft problem before I decided to buy it, like all these problems you only hear about the bad ones, there are still thousands out there that don't develop the problem, but on the other hand I didn't like the CVT gearbox that comes with the petrol version and the difference in torque is substantial. So, if it does develop the balance shaft problem, I will be pulling out the offending parts! I'm really happy with the look of mine too, it's a late 2014 model in the two tone dark grey/black colour with a stainless rear ladder, roof racks, and running nice mags with 245/70R16's. It looks great and goes even better.

Vozítko šlape parádně. Anička je skvělá parťačka na takový vejlety. Tak užívejte, zdááár.
Wow, what a great adventure. Thanks for sharing it. Just seeing your vid, makes me wanting one van like yours.

Yes these models were great - but the question is - will the newer D5's be able to do this?
