wow- this is awesome! (im 17, and ive atually had a 1/2 violin since i was 8, so its kind of hard for me to play good quality music on my fiddle...) i wish i could play this song- your version sounds so awesome! :)
Top end violins don't have "brands" per say because they aren't mass manufactured like the yamahas. They are made by certain luithers or families by hand (just like the Guanari and the Stradivari centuries ago). This violin is a modern violin made by a Italian luither in Cremona

I'm not sure what you mean by open strings lesson. You wouldn't be able to really play the tune with just open strings. Do you mean just playing notes within the chord? If so, it would have to be a very specific transposition to allow for that. Most of the originals have flats or sharps in them (for example, this one is in D major, which has 2 sharps). A Million Dreams definitely is one I'd like to cover. We'll see how this video fares :)
