I’m sorry for your loss. I like to think that in space and time we never really lose anyone… if we could time travel , in some way, we will always be with the ones we have loved and lost. Etched in time forever
Boulevard of Broken Songs brought me here. And I love how they made a reference to the song Wonderwall by Oasis, and ended up together in the mashup. Awesome
When listening to that song, I remember myself writing about a girl that I had an unreachable crush in. Love this song, and the Oasis - Wonderwall reference in the lyrics
M Sch No, there weren’t boy bands playing in ‘95. Wonderwall was HUGE in 1995-1996. “Writing To Reach You,” though released in ‘99, is set in (and was written in) 1995. Boy bands & Brittney & Christina all emerged in 1997. I know this distinction means nothing to you, but when you were actually living in 1995, 1997 was an unknown future, kind of like 2021 is an unknown future to us presently living in 2019 :)
@saiorgirl8 Yeah! melodies get recycled all the time! this was before Green day and Oasis was before that and it was used countless times before that too.
Yael Moise Nice comment. But I’ve found, in my life, that most of my thoughts are visual. And most of the world is brought to me by my eyes. Memories are brought back to me visually, too. So perhaps he’s referring to something in that vein, a memory of his lover who has been gone, who’s back for a holiday visit. Or perhaps he’s crying. Oh, so I just realized you were simply correcting the lyrics that are shown in this video. So, as Roseanne Roseanadanna often said, “Nevermind.”
"The radio is playing all the usual And what's a wonder wall anyway?" Personally I think this is Travis' jab at Oasis. This song is way better than wonderwall.
Love this song. Makes me cry thinking of the son I lost.
You son os in heaven and iam sure that is watching you and some day all of us we will meet with our people!

What a great song !! For some reason it remembers me the fileds of Cambridgeshire. A very quiet travel from Cambridge to Hinxton.
This song is the depression made art. The feeling of missing someone perfectly described. Beautiful song
Criminally underated.

"The redio plays the usual" god wish i lived in the time where hearing songs like wonderwall on the redio was considered the usual.
עומר שרייבר It! Was a good time but there were a lot of crappy boys bands too
Where do you live, kansas? Do you not shave a rock station. They play wonderwall constantly on 92.7.

🔥
Um... it's "Whatever's in my eye". "Eye", not "Head".
"Whatever's in my eye won't go away" - There's "something in [his] eye". i.e. He's crying.

its an ode to Noel Gallagher, acknowledging that he used the chords of Wonderwall for the song
Actually has different chords
hope u get it -----------------> ?
hehehe I
hence 'and what's a wonderwall anyway' lyric as Travis was tributing the song
most likely dissing it
you know who u are
got here from ''boulavard of broken dreams'' mash up with dream on,broken dreams, wonderwall, writing to reach u.
:)

shit the guitar kinda sounds like wonderwall wtf
travis based it on wonderwall
Michael Langley ...whats?? You are crazy...
No shit that's exactly what I just said
Whoever wrote out these lyrics was either on drugs or was under some sort of distress. So many mistakes.
😂
kind of sounds like wonderwall green day nicked wonderwall for boulevard of broken dreams
"The radio is playing all the usual
And what's a wonder wall anyway?"
Personally I think this is Travis' jab at Oasis. This song is way better than wonderwall.
Stephen, Travis opened for Oasis on tour for a long time. They're buddies. Not to mention the chord structure of this song is Wonderwall copied.
Whiny jocks but this is decent.....
