Not gonna lie, I was someone who was really hard on Bolles the first few years. I still think some of the criticisms we're appropriate, especially the holding, but he has improved so much that he's become one of my favorite Broncos.
Wow! You gotta love Bolles. It takes a really strong person to bounce back from the hate we fans showed him during his struggles. And we can't call it anything other than hate. We were rude and hateful towards him. Online, at the games, everywhere. I remember games were we'd get a holding call and just boooooo him. Little did most of us know the man was trying to overcome so much. What an inspiration he is...not only as a football player but as a man and a human. What a beautiful family and what a great man. I hope we as fans never rush to a judgement that makes us so hateful towards our players, because many are doing the BEST they can to achieve their dreams and provide for their families. They're human just like us.
I was so hard on him the first couple of years. I was calling for him to get cut. I screamed it at the top of my lungs. I couldn't be more wrong. I'm now a convert. He's a major cog on the team. So inspirational.
You have a beautiful family and I am so proud of you for being the gentle giant that you are, overcoming life’s curb balls. Don’t worry about the fans’ hateful scream or talks - they are just sports enthusiasts who want what you want - victory. You are grounded and your beautiful family awaits at home at the end of the hard days of work.
In 2019 when the world seemed t be against you I saw pure raw passion that just need to be harnessed a bit! Great story thanks for sharing with another ADHD person who has made it too!
Very proud of you Garrett. Forget football for a minute and take note of what you've overcome in your life. Thank you for being an encouragement to many of us out here. Young and older alike. God bless you and yours.
Garett's such a great person. We gave him a hard time, he worked day after day to prove everyone wrong and he did. He overcame adversity in many ways and has become one of the best players at his position. You taught everyone a great lesson!
GB & wife seem like great people who have over come some serious life obstacles.. I can tell how that man speaks that he is smart! big time fan of him and his family now.
Garett bolles are stand man kiddos to you.Your son number one family then wife.Despite what is going on you still do your job as Bronco.excellent story.excellent player for the Broncos
Man, as fans it's easy to sit back and criticize. It is difficult to understand what a player is going through in life. I was sceptical of bolles, but didn't know him. I was hard on bolles, and failed to understand him. I am so proud of the man he's become. Truly an inspiration. Watching this video sent chills up my spine. God has great plans for you GB, keep doin your thang bro.
I’ve always been a big fan of his! I went to the same high school as him I was a couple years younger tho then he went to my favorite college team Utah! Then my favorite pro team. But hearing about his son I feel somewhat the same I had a stroke when I was in the belly and I’ve have had a stutter my whole like it’s hard sometimes getting words out. Im glad they got him into speech therapy! All I can say is keep your head up little man!!
I am a Broncos fan with learning disabilities. I was othered just like you, Garrett. I feel your pain and I am rooting for both of us to continue to overcome this stuff.
I played with Garrett before he went to UofU. He was a pain in the ass, hard to be his teammate but he was a damn good player. I wasn't super happy when he got drafted however watching him grow and be the man he is now. I am proud to have met him. Go Garrett!
Oh man, what a story... i dont think there's anyone in broncos country who can say he or she was supportive of Bolles... def got my mouth shut by him. Big lesson here...
the story about the pen is inspirational, I knew Garett struggled with learning, but this story about the pen is amazing. I being a Broncos fan that does not live in Denver, I'm from Michigan, challenge the Denver Broncos, to donate as many of these pens to special needs programs across the country if for nothing else to show that kids on the spectrum can overcome the struggles they face with learning when taught in the right way.
I got respect man. You have come a LONG way since you been in Denver. Broncos Country behind you 100% brother. You have never been better. Congrats for the mountains you have climbed and what you continue to overcome. Kick ass this week man, its different this week. Time to stomp on somebody BAD!
I am so happy garret bolles has become a good human being and I might add a good football player. I knew he had a hard first year but he now is a great player.
I think having a father that had to overcome A.D.D. will help that young child overcome his challenges in life. GB has come a long way and I can not remember the last time you heard a flag thrown for him holding. His first few years were tuff for sure but he is doing great now!
GB has had maybe the most remarkable turnaround in NFL history at any position. He was a 1st Rd pick and not after 1 yr, or 2nd yr, or 3rd year but his 4th yr went from a bust to an all pro player and if, big if, but if the team starts winning, he is now on a trajectory to head to Canton. Unbelievable story
I have Childhood Apraxia of Speech. It's very common for people to have Apraxia of Speech to have other disability that might affect them in learning and communicating with sign language.

I am so glad that GB has that kind of support at home and at the facility. He had me tearing up listening to his story.
