Please research better. Horses lay on straw and eats hay. Native women use plant materials such as cattail down for diapers. A two year old walks and talks. A 9 month old knows how to crawls. I enjoy the strong women you portray.
Yes a little more research does stop the jarring of incorrect or lack of correct details. It stops the good flow of an excellent story when the reader/ listener know things are not correct.
