I guess they did it because not everything had to be G1 too many people obsessed with the fact that it's not G1,it wasn't G1,it should have been like G1, to tell you the truth I was fine with it being a jet it actually made more sense that a military based Decepticon combiner would have a military vehicle such as a jet versus a space shuttle although it is refreshing to have a uniformed based combiner such as its originality
I think it's only fair to have the option of having all of our CW combiners as G1, hence, this was absolutely necessary. Not everything has to be new too. we can have our G1 alongside new stuff if we so choose.
You should give this a 20/10 since you gave the takara one a 10/10. In Combiner arm mode you just fold his arms the other way on the other side to make them snap together.

are you serious bro ? they're practically everywhere! go to the big Toy Kingdom and Toys R Us stores. they're shelf warmers. for Toys R Us Stores, they're at the cashier area. they're not displayed in the usuall transformers shelves, because shoplifting of TF toys have been unusually frequent this year, the importer/supplier is not taking anymore chances.
Would this be good as a stand-alone toy? I don't have Bruticus, nor any other combiner, but I like Blast Off (loved the G2 toy when I was a kid). It's a bit expensive though, so I think I'll only bite if it's good by itself.

I only have Onslaught when I got this guy, I think he's a decent stand alone (as is most CW figures)
