Impressive place but I don't think average joes like my wife and I could ever afford it. WAY WAY out of our price range unfortunately. I'm sorry for criticism but in previous video you stated you wanted honest opinions. We very much appreciate your vlog of the new place, thanks Will & Dawn! Will, your shower singing........you give it a great college try young man but don't quit your day job! 😄🐻
I agree! This just feels way out of place for where it’s at. I thought the other resort was supposed to be Dollywood’s most expensive resort with this new one being a bit more affordable. What I don’t understand is why they have a buffet at their highest tear resort but have this incredibly overpriced one at what I’d think should be a more reasonable priced place.
I think they do want criticism, but when people call them names and make up rumors about them, it's not acceptable. You were very respectful with your comment .😊

I know it includes a free ticket, trolley to park, fast passes, tasting pass (which is quite a value) I think that they should just charge a reasonable rate and then let guests decide to purchase those things on their own. I think for that price, breakfast should also be included! We went to Dollywood twelve times this year, and we definitely now know the importance of a hotel that is consistent with its quality, and paying extra to make sure you have a good hotel can be worth it. The hotel we stayed at this past trip was great when we stayed there in May but was so bad this time that I had to take off work to recover after getting zero sleep at the hotel due to a rock hard bed and broken heaters. Next time we go to Dollywood, we are staying at the Inn at Christmas Place or somewhere in Gatlinburg.

I understand all the amenities and stuff, but almost $500 a night for a tiny room and communal microwave?? You could get a 4-5 bedroom, multi-level cabin in the area for that price or cheaper.

Thanks for making me laugh. Seeing Dawn mad about the fire alarm and being woken up, that would totally be me, too. Hopefully, that issue was fixed.

I've stayed in numerous hotels, including some of the most upscale hotels in Manhattan New York. In my opinion, a hotel room is a place to lay your head at night and a place to relax in. I would rather spend time in the RV that I'm planning on getting and see the country. While seeing some of the most beautiful scenery and mountain views which the open road has to offer. Including exploring new places, fishing and making memories with my fur babies that will last a lifetime. In reality, you don't need much in life, you just need to live life to the fullest and see the scenery.

Great video, Yankee in The South: The resort looks beautiful, and the food looks greats. But the cost is way out of my budget. I will wait for a couple of years, until I have my small RV and I'm working for the local Pigeon Forge KOA, before I go to Dollywood. Chances are that it will be more budget friendly then and much more affordable to go to Dollywood as a treat. My new RV will have lights that change colors once I get it and that will be so cool. Including ice, a microwave, an air conditioner and a furnace. The best part of all is the workout that I will get from walking the RV grounds of the KOA. While I'm working and on my off time and this KOA even has a swimming pool and laundry facilities. Including full hookups, showers, restroom facilities and a lounge. Including our area of refuge, which is the great outdoors and the great smokies not to mention my very own private outdoor ground level, patio and a massive panoramic landscape that extends for hundreds of miles with plenty of places to comfortably sit and relax in front of a fire. I'm definitely looking forward to purchasing my RV, because a hotel fire alarm at 2 am in the morning won't be an issue. -Happy Trails😀

Cost to much for me
I have changed my lifestyle too, eating healthy and walking. When you change your eating habits, and eat healthy tour taste buds change. Foods taste so much better.....for me heavy foods,grease and sugar arenor so tasty anymore, in fact it usually makes me sick. Looking great !
I always get headaches from campfires too Dawn! I love those gas “campfires”!
The "mashed potatoes" was polenta. ( an italian cornmeal dish).
We would definitely try the restaurant out. Your meals looked amazing! Well they have 3 more resorts to go maybe one of them will be budget friendly.

Yeah those 'Area of Refuge' on each floor were probably purposely planned after the fires of 2016. I remember some of the stories of occupants from the Park Vista and it being touch and go. Probably makes it easier for the FD in case of emergency.

I think it's a good idea that they do reviews on different priced hotels and resorts for people with different tastes and budgets. There are some that may not mind spending that kind of money for a room. And I don't consider any of the comments here criticism it's just different opinions. 🙂

Thanks Will and Dawn for a great review and showing us the really nice restaurant. The food did look really tasty. And wow those fires look amazing and such a great hangout place. Good idea to go to each floor to see the overlooks. Thanks. Those elevators are really nice indeed. I would be annoyed with night fire alarms. I would really hate it for my kids or especially for babies.. waking them up especially on a trip… I saw someone holding a sleeping child. That is tough. Ughhh

We were thinking about coming down there for our 53rd anniversary but wouldn't stay there it's very pretty but way to expensive .

Hi guys! The lodge looks really nice, especially that it includes the items related to Dollywood. Hey, don't feel guilty about enjoying your meals. Do what I do - feel guilty afterward tee hee. No, really. When you go home, go back to your normal routine of a healthy diet and exercise. As long as this is something you don't find yourselves doing all the time, you'll be fine❤

Wow what an amazing stay….that would be a vacation to save up for and splurge but my goodness what a way to splurge..everything about that stay was amazing, especially that room…very much my style..thank you Will and Dawn for make that expense just for us so we can see the full experience…I loved it 😊💕
Thanks for sharing. Don't think I'll get to stay there. Checked the prices and very expensive for a basic looking room. I think my room at Coronado Springs at Disney was close to this in looks and space and cost less per night compared.

Really enjoyed your exploring the lodge and grounds . Your dining experience looked really nice. Glad you guys treat yourselves, Dawn said it on the live, it’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle choice! You guys look great and I really appreciate the review of Dollywood and the campfires. The fire 🔥 alarm evacuating was probably scary 😟 especially after a relaxing day and while you’re sleeping. Loved Will’s rendition of Dolly’s songs while singing in the shower 🤣🧼Really appreciated the honest review at the end of the video. Great job 👍🦋

I down with you about the 4:00 check-in especially since you don't get a full 24 hour stay anyway. Also did they give you a free breakfast or anything to compensate for the false fire alarm in the midfle of the night?

It was beautiful, but not the price. We love The Lodge At Five Oaks. You need to review it. Get a room with a balcony. We could watch the people on the mountain coaster. We was on the side toward Gatlinburg.

“Area of Refuge” is a place for people who need assistance during an evacuation to gather.
Don’t feel bad about the alarms. I am in that business. It’s not unusual for a new system to have some settling in to do. Smoke detectors get installed where something can set them off, sprinkler lines still have air bubbles in them, etc. Then there are all the kids and the tempting pull stations.

I would have gone for the short ribs, like Will. The side you weren't sure what it was is polenta, it's made from cornmeal which is the grittiness. I like polenta, and love short ribs so that looked amazing! Dawn's chicken looked good too. Wow, I need to spend at least 3 nights for my wife and I to try all the main dishes, lol!
The fire pit at night I could spend hours there!
LOL, I laughed hysterically at Dawn almost poking you in the eye! LOL, reminds me of the Colonel Sanders video where she turns towards the Colonel and says "I'll poke you in the eye!". I still remember that, Dawn is great!!
Sometimes you just gotta cheat, the food and snacks look way too good there!
I would concur, Dollywood is one of the friendliest parks anywhere. The hosts make the stay extra special. I can't wait to stay there! We might be down there in the spring. Hopefully the international festival will be going on when we need to be in Tennessee.
Oh, and I am 100% on team Dawn as far as being woken up, if you are not grumpy, you are not human. I would not be happy about the alarm either.

There is no way I could afford to stay there. The food looked good. We might go to eat there for a special occasion. Thanks again. God bless.

Very Very Nice. We have stayed at Dreammore. Loved it. But, they didn’t have any exhaust fans in the bathrooms. It made a Horrible Wet room after 4 people took showers. I Sure hope they added exhaust fans in that Resort.

Wowza… I wanted to bring my grandson for a couple nights because my health hasn’t been so great.. my doctor told me if I didn’t get my sleep, heart under control I’ll be dead in less then 5 years… I checked the dates for November (2 night min) the cheapest room for me and a 6 year old is $441 a night!! Ouch… guess this will be out of question unfortunately.. I really wanna make great memories with my children & grand children but unfortunately this is a dream to many…

The place is beautiful but the price is way too high! Especially for being such a small park and having hotels literally just a couple of miles away that cost a fraction of the price and are a quick drive or trolly ride away! I love Dollywood and promote the park mall the time but I’ve got to be honest, over the past few years the prices have gone way up and the quality of multiple things from the food in the park to new attractions have been lackluster. I truly hope things improve.

That place is way overpriced! They have around the same rates as a Ritz Carlton hotel! Crazy!!!
