- Wanting to catch trouts I realized the Sihlsee has more Pike than anything else =D. Got also surprised by how many fish were not scared to see me at the shore. Careful dificult to find parking spots around the lake come ready to walk a lot and have a great fishing day.

I am new to Switzerland, living close to Zurichsee in Canton Schwyz and I really interested in Spin fishing (minnows, jigs, silicons with jigheads). Do you know if I can fish in Zurichsee and Obersee without a SaNa license? Because I read something about the free fishing act in Switzerland from lakes but I'm not sure if this applies only for fishing with a float.

Hey Teo, free fishing only includes a normal hook without spike/barb and only natural baits (worms, etc.) with float or ground fishing. You can fish with spinners, minnows etc. Only if you have a SaNa at zürich lake Schwyz, Zürich or St. Gallen side. Nevertheless, you can buy at some lakes (Sihlsee and Wägitalersee) in Kanton Schwyz a day permit without a SaNa where you can use Minnows, jigs or Silicon with jigheads but without Spikes/barbs and fish for some trouts, pike perch 😉
