Hi Craig! Played an 822 for years. Got a 2250TL a couple of months ago. I love it! I'm pretty surprised how well it responds in all registers, and especially the extremes of the horn. Great low register and EASY upper end. Nice video! Hope you are well!

I have, among other tubas, a Meinl Weston Model 2141L, an Eb with 4 piston and one rotary valve. It is easy to control, all the way from EEE to c'', for me. The tone is great in its entire range. The lacquered brass is still beautiful after 24 years, and the nickel silver slides and slide tubes are still bright and shiny. The valves are fast and light to the touch. And for an Eb tuba, the tone is dark and NOT flabby in the low range. If I'd know how good the MW tubas are, my 5/4 and 6/4 CC tubas would be Meinl Weston's.
