Honestly this episode was such a blessing bc my grandmother passed away a month ago and its been hard, but the way the universe works is so crazy and uplifting bc it’s almost like I got a message from her bc y’all said something that she used to tell me all the time. I’m so glad y’all reminded me that “All I gotta do is bounce with it” because that’s what she would always encourage me to do ❤️

Cody, whenever I think about not having achieved what I want to by a certain age, I think about my cousin Cathy. She worked for the State Department in Russia for the first part of her career, then in her 50s decided to go to medical school. She graduated last year and now is in her residency in New Hampshire. She’s particularly interested in neurology and may pursue some type of fellowship.
I have a degree in gender & sexuality studies, I ran a dog collar business for a few years, now I’m a veterinary assistant and intern with an animal behaviorist. I want to be a guide dog trainer. I’m the type of person to want like 10 different careers, so Cathy reminds me it’s never too late to switch it up.
