What you've just stated in your video is old news the new version of Apple Assistant is going to be powered by open AI ChatGPT or Google Gemini apparently Apple signed an agreement a couple of weeks back with open AI

Yes indeed - As I say really - this is the old one - just discovered it and was amazed by it, and GTP4o clearly will be a massive upgrade - see the section on that :)

@@BetterCreating This model still covers text to speech and speed to text in the background. The new one understand audio directly; it is not out yet.
I remember the first time I tried this. I was about to ask a question or something, then I noticed the headset icon. I had no idea what that was so I clicked and said something like "hey, I'm just testing". After a few seconds it replied "hey! what are you testing? can I help?" in the most natural way possible. I was in complete shock.
I've tried it and the thing that still makes conversations feel unnatural to me is the delay between you talking and the AI responding, as well as the fact that you can't interrupt it using your voice like how people do in actual conversations. It's still really cool but I hope they manage to work that out in the future.

I am not sure if Apple integrates Siri with ChatGPT. My concern is that since ChatGPT uses Microsoft Bing to retrieve answers, the integration might not be as effective.
Does it work on android?
For me is still the same voice call like i had in 3.5.. the new stuff is only the gpt 4o announced in the showcase they did days ago. The real faster and smarter vocal feature it will arrive in weeks probably. I would have preferred if they had specified in the presentation that the features presented would arrive later.
Totally: we are all probs still waiting to try the 4o from their demo I shared :(

Download the official ChatGPT app. Click the headphone button bottom right in the chat. :)
So I've tried using it on pc and for pc it only has the option to attach files. what's been disappointing is that the number of files you can upload and the number of prompts you can give it is limited. I really thought i was getting complete free access to it.
Interesting: yes I’m intrigued to see what the claim of 4o being something that brings gpt4 to all users really pans out to be non reality. Fingers crossed! :)

I was browsing around their website and did not get. Does Plus plan include only ~80 messages per 3 h? So, I suspect that video or audio conversations will take x5 more tokens than just text. In this case you will have about 16-20 questions/3 h. Kinda, not even close to have a personal tutor/teacher. And that's payable. I run out of 3 voice questions using Free version. What do you think about this?

@@BetterCreating Right, but I’ve already clicked by then. That’s why it’s called clickbait and not watchbait. People see the title and make an assumption. If a large proportion of people are making the wrong assumption then it’s probably misleading. You should take responsibility for that as the creator.

5:20 interrupting by speaking doesn't seem to work on the Android app. That's an important feature.
I have a feeling they have yet to release 4o - only announced.

Hey there, I'm new to chatgpt I don't know much about it but I wanted to see if it can make phone calls by dialing any number from the contact list.
For example Hey call Matti and then it proceeds to make the call.
The videos I recently saw are from people who have small businesses making calls out to friends or other businesses for reservations.
I wonder if Openai will enable that one day. Once again I'm new to all of this for those who are inquiring.

Siri AI will still be a generation or two behind. The lack of development in Siri since Apple acquired it is a well known in the industry and down to it being full on neglected by Apple. To the point that Siri on the Apple Vision Pro, needed to be rewritten by the Vision Pro team.
So I don’t hold out much hope for an Apple revolution of old, in this space.

I think what he means is, All the example you showed in your video are out to date. The new aí model is way better than this. Only some users have got access to it yet.

It’s being rolled out I believe gradually - it was announced not release: hence the two sections in the video - one on the old version, and the section on the new version: at the time of publishing there was not details on the release date.
The CHAT is limited if free user. Wonder if CHAT is limitless in upgrade.

What about people who talk slow or stutter because it seems the ai can give clear answer when you talk fast
Interesting, I found the 3.5 version to be pretty effective at understanding even when I was thinking and pausing - only way to know is to try it. :)
GPT4o new voice model has not released yet, it will release in the upcomming weeks. The voice feature you tried now has been there for a year.

Both CLIP and DALL-E are Open AI products. Not Google or Facebook as it confidently claims. Seeing a lot of examples of this being wrong but saying it with conviction.
Haha, I wondered who would be first to spot that! Yeah, this is the main issue here right… conviction and being wrong. That example is 3.5… Here’s hoping the newer versions get more actuate!
@@BetterCreating I’m certainly hoping so. I pay for it and use it most days as a bit of an assistant to my work. After your video I asked it who produced those 2 and it said both were Open AI products. I just hope most people know to use it as a framework/start point/unblocker rather than copy paste tool

Yep! terrible. See my comments in description - I've been running a little social experiment to see how many people missed it: the confidence of wrong answers in AI is the most tricky element of the new tech i think. we need them to also fact check themsleves!
@@BetterCreating they are trained mostly to predict next word/token probabilities and the result is very often text that sounds "likely" but not necessarily factually correct.

@@tylermd89 I personally agree with you, and Sam Altman is standing firm on that same idea, but I’ve read some legal experts saying they still think she has a good case. It doesn’t have to be an exact clone of her voice. They can still try to argue that there was that intent
@@tylermd89 the closest similar precedent I came across was some car commercial from 1988 where they tried to get Bette Midler to sing on it but she wouldn’t, so they actually hired one of her backup singers and very obviously tried to get her to sound as much like Midler as possible. I don’t think this case is even that close, but Johansson is well known and influential, and OpenAI probably knows she could bring quite a shit storm of negative PR their way if she really wanted to
I have friends if I want to have a conversation with someone. I don't need an AI to talk to. I still don't understand why I need AI. I haven't used it yet and haven't missed it.

Do not let this video mislead you. The model demonstrated is not the new voice model. This is the voice model for 4 that has been avaliable for over 6 months. 4o voice has not rolled out yet. If you don't have vision features and there is no emotion you are not using the new voice model. This is far from natural because it is text based not voice based. Additionally, Siri will never be on the same level. The company collaborations going on behind the scenes with open Ai eclipses apples technology making it primitive in every way.

Siri is a sad excuse compared to an AI like Omni... I mean, it's not an incorrect comparison, it's just not a good one. It's just that the only people who haven't heard of chat GPT are living under a rock, and GPT and (comparatively)all AI architecture will be less similar to Siri in every aspect apart from live-like responses, which Siri also doesn't really have compared to aspects like the matrix that models like GPT use. Do you see seed configurability or options for Siri models(other than voice of course)? No, because it's not AI, and it's VERY far from it. It would be more like Siri just got nuked, or The officiality of Siri's obsolescence... Or even The Siri of the future. Idk. Anything Siri sounds much less interesting than GPT-4o with it's capabilities, you never know though, maybe Apple will pull a rabbit out of the hat following through this insanity that OpenAI is leading, I doubt it though. Siri is not the new AI with voice, and the new AI with voice is not Siri, and Siri AI is... actually pretty smart to comprehensively communicate what many will consider the coolest feature of this new update. Okay, it's actually a pretty good title.
You know what's really impressive, try chat about topics like, pre Christian spiritual religions, combined with Plato, hermeticism and Carl Jung, this thing has deep understanding about the human psyche and its subconscious archetypes, and how they relate to mass behavior, try to go really deep with a deep topic, if you cant go deep about above try quantum physics.
Everyone should buy a 24gb nvidia card and learn some python, a little, to sew openai blocks together (component bases development) to all have our own local LLM (they are already available) so these will defend our privacy and interest and go "fight"/compete with other LLM ' s, like the British Empire and de US, divide and conquer, hmm bad example,
