Heyhey Mogwai, here's a fun double fossil deck: Meowth, Kabutops & Omastar. You run just one Meowth as the only base pokemon and draw into the fossils as fast you can. This works surprisingly consistently and more importantly, is hella fun! (both only require one energy of their own type)
That could work, but I think you should run a 2nd Meowth and at least 1 pokeball to help thin the deck more and lower your chance of losing with no benched mons
When I hear a deck like this is surprisingly consistent, I begin to question the sample size of the matches played. 2 fossil based stage 2's and singleton Meowth seems sketch IMO. Going first against Kanga, Blaine or Eggs must be a real cheek clencher huh?

Hey Mog, I've been using this sweet arbok and pigeot lockdown deck and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Idea is you lock out their strong pokemon they set up using a sabrina or a pigeot. My secret tech is one copy of mawile that given they have a favorable switch, I can rip a few energies and stall them while chipping them down a bit for arbok to take down. The deck puts a lot of pressure on the opponent to be on their switch management, and often I'll lock them out if they make a misplay to steal games. Im running it without a red card after testing in favor of potions and full xspeeds, and only 1 sabrina for the early turns if needed. Id love to see your take of my brew.

Been running Kabutops with Primeape, but guess I should make one more Weezing deck. Had fun running it with Beedrill. Can even beat Mewtwo decks if you don't get RNG screwed.
@@openinfinity Yeah. You only need one of each energy for a mon to be ready to go. Beedrill stabs for a solid amount and survives well against non-EX nukes, and Kabutops survives even better. You're guaranteed to start with a Weedle and the deck is turn order-proof.

Blastoise deck that doesn't RELY on Misty to function: 6x Blastoise ex line 4x Tentacruel line 2x Prof Research 2x Pokeball 2x Misty 1x Potion 1x Xspeed 1x Giovanni 1x Sabrina Basic idea is Tenta up front dealing good damage and wasting enemy switch/heal resources while stalling for Blastoise to set up at the rear. Tentacruel often enables Blastoise to be viable even hitting for 100 or can actually carry games itself, 110hp makes it actually quite tanky compared to stage 1 peers, and 50 damage seems small, but factoring poison and assuming the opponent stays in, that's 130 damage after my second attack in total (60 damage to two mons if they switch). All in all Tentacruel is criminally underrated and so is Blastoise. Fs for y'all

Can you try it out with Pidgeot? or if you go for double Sabrinas to be more card slot efficient (I don't have any since I just started so Pidgeot is a must in the matches) maybe slot in a meowth or something. I know you'd love to go Weezing but it might be difficult with the 3 psy energy cost unless you give up the tackle pressure. Ah meu deus

You can still get into it pretty easy with little monetary investment imo and it's more complex than Pocket (because obv Pocket is based on the original TCG). Anyway, good so see you again man. I have a lapris ex butterfree deck that works surprisingly well because of the healing of lapris combined with the butterfree and potions can heal over 100 in a turn. Kabutops should be able to heal 110 without potions against a electric deck.
I only have one Kobutops but I still made a deck with it and Meowth. Not Wheezing though. One match it absorbed 360 damage through the match. I've been messing around with 2nd stage Pokemon that only need 1 energy, or element Pokemon that only need colorless so I can splash them into a deck. Have a deck with Fire/Water/Grass, that only needs fire energy.
Not well at all, in the past 5 games I've played with this build against Mewtwo/Gardevoir - I've lost in less than 10 rounds. All they need is 2x mewtwo EX and a single Gardevoir evo line in the back. There's nothing in this build that can kill mewtwo if they start with it before mewtwo can effortlessly 1 shot every one of your pokemon.
Since omastar only needs 1 water energy to function (with 2 colorless), I think a koga omastar dual deck could go crazy. I want to try it out but dont have enough cards.
I recently experiment playing Kabutops pair with Butterfree, cus I wanna get 90 heal/turn. But the stage2 evolve process makes it doesn't paired fast enough.
I've been running brock + machamp line + onix, idk it sounds very lategame, but onix is a great tank for machop line setup and can dish out 70 dmg post 2nd turn if you pull 1 brock w 110hp
I was leaving a comment in ur live stream and was wondering if you can make like a cube lock deck that's in hearthstone with the Pokémon cards at hand I guess it's a hard control deck making impossible to breakthrough the line with a lot of taunts ? And gets widdled down
I hope you experimentmore with magneton. I think i could work very well with ninetales since that eats up all your attachments for the turn whilest magneton doesnt need any manual attachments. They also cover each others weaknesses well!
I said in another video that I wanna see beedrill get used but I just pulled lickytung on wonderpick and holy crap, it's basically misty strat but with the attack itself, every turn... I would love to see a wipe with him, cause that would dish out insane damage the one time you get lucky XD
Fossils just feel so rough at the moment, I'm hoping they add a trainer or item card that search fossils in the miniset or next main set. Mewtwo feels so rough for this list due to the painfully slow nature of fossils. I wonder if Golbat over Wheezing is worth considering for that reason since it still one-shots Ralts ( plus you can add another Gio and Sabrina or potions)
First two legitimate games I played I generated 6 darkness energies in a row with Kabutops on board both times 😅 This has also been my luck with Dragonite and water most matches lmao. I love multi color decks, but they don’t show it back…
It was a game of skill all along…most of the decks I use don’t rely on flips much at all, and the strategies that do use coin flips often have a high reward for the risk

Valid, but I think that comes down to taste. There really isnt much space left in the deck, next to two stage 2 evolutions. I prefer some trainers

I also been running a Kabutops Dugtrio deck, lots of stall shenanigans, no need for xSpeed and guaranteed attacks at 1 energy cost
Just started using dugtrio. Definitely 1 of my favorite. Has saved me from 100+hp attacks

You can just use poke like Kanga/Snorlax/Mewtwo/Articuno instead of tenta as they are tankier and are better in type matchups

If you can get a very early weezing online it does very well into mewtwo. If you don't get the weezing online in the first turns you're probably toast

This one looks like a lot of fun. I feel like sometimes slotting in the Weezing feels forced but this one feels right.

I thought that might be a flaw in kabutop because it said damage and as you thought it would have been 60 instead of 70 with how it's typed

Kabutops slices its prey apart and sucks out the fluids. The discarded body parts become food for other Pokémon.

How about a Victreebell deck? It’s Ability is similar to Pidgeot, but YOU choose which pokemon to swap in.
Try the manky/marowak deck but with dugtrio in support. You'll have a lot of fun trust me

Mog finding ways to make this coin-flip-fest a game of skill is really doing it for me.

Not every deck is the Articuno 18 Trainer, if Heartstone could rely on skill, so can Pocket.
It's only skill based if both players roll similarly
You only need one energy... Right, the amount of times my Dragonite deck only had water energy for four turns or more
