I hope you do not take offense to this. I am a fan of your channel and enjoy what you do. I want to give a personal opinion. This is not a criticism; you must be yourself. Being yourself is what has made your channel successful.
I have noticed in two of your interviews that while the other person is speaking, you keep saying “yea, yea”. The good part about it is that you are likely showing the interviewee that you are engaged and interested, that is good. Sometimes though, your voice overlaps with the other person and makes it a little harder to understand what they are saying. I also believe you are closer to the microphone and your voice tends to carry more than the person you are interviewing.
Just a personal observation. Again, I am a fan of your channel and enjoy it very much. Best regards and thank you for what you do.

Yes. Talking over your guest is extremely distracting.

Thanks... and yes, I am aware of this...
It seems to be what I do. Trying to improve, but it's about it being a little bit difficult for me to keep on top of the questions, as well as trying to encourage the other person.
Hopefully I will get better with time... I think it annoys me just as much as everyone else.
I am keen to do a bunch more interviews... Also thinking of investing in a lapel mike... That way it's not as annoying for the audience.
Live interviewing is a fairly new thing for me, but I think there is so much great information out there it's worthwhile.

@@AskOlaftheViolinmaker You have been communicating in a certain way all your life and now comes a new technology that adds a wrinkle to it. The information your channel provides makes that issue miniscule. I do understand changing your habits is difficult. Thanks again for keeping us educated.

What an interesting person! Wish when listening that she wasn't constantly talked over. All the filler words are not needed, let her talk. Otherwise very interesting content.

Olaf really loves to talk. Hence, so many videos by him. I can see why she chose the cello.

My wife apprenticed with a luthier in Baltimore and went to the UNH violin craftsmanship institute to be able to maintain her student instrument fleet somewhat better.

    I love the Cello!
If I were a bit younger I would buy a Cello as well as Violin!
I still might go there anyway.
The tonal range of the Cello is so good in so many ways, and nothing else that sonic timbre.
    I LOVE the Cello.
Of course there are only so many hours in the day, right?
I totally get the idea of having variety.
Learning new things always perks me up too.
Yeah the universal force of entropy brings chaos to us all, it is good to learn how to surf the waves of entropy as the chaos comes through

Violins are portable. Not so cellos. But they are both so necessary, so wonderful.

I did! Picking it up as an adult, as a music educator. Viola was my first instrument in strings class rotstion in college, and I fell in love almost immediately. 😍

@@trumpetmom8924 Yeah , it was kind of a bad joke , I have heard to many violist jokes. We all know that Violists and Bassist hold it all down for everyone else to show off.
