Why is she ignorant? She is being completely honest and to the point which is probably just her being German.
She's not ignorant, but she is a pompous jerk.
***** Lol so saying you don't like guns as much as americans makes you a pompous jerk? Then most of the world are pompous jerks cause nobody likes them more than you people do.
***** I think sarcasm doesnt really pop up in text that well...
Ilgoth Aw, now you got me. My giant building of lies and deception crumbles ...
*****
Your ploy has been unfoiled.
One of the most attractive actresses today.
All the time
much more beautiful than any jewish actress
Guns are more popular in american culture. That is a fact I think, so she isn't ignorant.
Why is she ignorant?
Esdras Manrique Worst english ever. He edited his previous post because he was calling her ignorant.
The idea is from the Swedish/danish show "Bron", and a great part of the story actually takes place on the Öresundsbron, the bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden.
Thought it'd worth mentioning.
I totally agree with what she said about rather watching a sex scene than watching someone be shot and killed. I wish more people felt that way.
you have to realize that that in some European countries the police do not carry guns at all times
They do in Northern Ireland because we a bunch of dangerous mother fuckers
@@NosajKnows HAHAHAHAH Top comment
police carry guns in every European country now and they are putting heavy concrete blocks around every Christmas market and the entrance to every tourist attraction.
"Honey Boo Boo does seem like the cantina scene"
Gold.
Her father Freddy scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.
I love how Conan starts out by basically explaining the show to the star of the show.
I'm well aware of that, it just looks funny because he's talking directly to her when he does it.
"I don't like guns, I don't like anything that has to do with guns." You starred in a Quentin Tarantino movie lady.
her english accent is really good
I love her character in The Bridge.
she speaks English, German AND French :D
The Bridge is a fabulous series. I saw the Swedish/Danish border version and it is amazing. I don't know how an American/Mexican one will be.
loved her in National Treasure, one of my all time favorite movies :)
What a Jewel she is..
awwwww
Love her, she's awesome.
People get offended by a remark that she´s doing about our American idiosyncrasy, when she implies that we love guns, especially T.V. shows that promote violence, which is totally true. After the 3rd Reich, Germans repels violence, believe me. I visit Europe every year, for about 3 to 4 months, due some of the research studies that I implement, in the sociology field. Wether we like it or not, the word stereotypes actually exists, because there are some peculiar patterns of conducts and custom practiced in every culture, due sociological & genetic incidencies. Simple as that.
Hard to believe she's 37! She could pass for a 20 year old. Bone beautiful, she'll no doubt still be stunning in her 50s.
superior german genetics
@@Afflictamineyou be careful saying that
boo hoo@@micawoodburn1912
Diane Kruger is German. In Germany, Obi-Wan's name is pronounced "Obi-Van" because of the way Germans pronounce their Ws. If anything, her pronunciation is proof that she is a devoted fan. She grew up watching "Obi-Van" accompany Luke on his journey, not "Obi-Wan." That pronunciation is ingrained into her. So in a conversational situation like this, it wouldn't even occur to her to use the English pronunciation. She's probably been calling him "Obi-Van" since she was just a child.
Where I can find the full interview?
"Maybe it's because I'm not American" No it's because you're sane.
Everyone in Germany calls him Obi-Wan and not One. I think even in the german dubbed version of Star Wars he is pronounced Obi-Wan not Obi-One.
Cool! Thx for the tip
From my experience most people don't speak English properly. I know I don't on a daily basis, but it is dependent on who I am talking to. You can often tell which people can't speak the language well, and which ones are just choosing to speak in a more relaxed vernacular though. I will say that with all of the convoluted and contradictory rules in the English language, that I highly doubt anyone speaks it 100% correctly.
Funny fact, the bridge is based on a danish/sweedish television series, just like the killing.
Nice to se her saying Juarez is not that violent. I'm from Juarez, and i'm sick of how the media exploits that image of our city. You'll only get in trouble if you mess with the cartels. Keep a low profile and everything will be fine.
She's so beautiful!
She did research for the role by spending ONE DAY in Juarez. What a story!
0:10 - If she's searching for a 'cereal killer' she can put me in handcuffs anytime!
cereal, serial, Cyril, surreal ... these are tricky words for us non native speakers to get right.
after this i had to google honey boo boo ,to see what the hell they where talking about .
Hahaha, me too.
me too, never heard of it as a show either
I was really confused but then I realized this was the American remake of the Bridge. Danish/Swedish original series was amazing, hope they do it justice.
so purrdy.
I'm so happy for you.
No entendí una chucha lo que dijo pero diooooos, ella es tan hermosaa, tan atractiva... una de las mujeres más bellas que he visto, definitivamente estoy enamorada de ella 🥺💘😳♥️
shi! im in love again!
She speaks great french too
english absolutely is easy to learn, ive been fluent in english since i was 10 yrs old.and im from finland, which is considered one of the most difficult languages to learn
I also had that idea. Im Danish.
She said it was like watching star wars in the sense that "it's so out there". She wasn't talking about quality.
diane Kruger's got the sexiest grin
Yes the original was very well written and acted. Season 2 coming up.
She comes into my Wine store all the time!!
TUBERCULOSIS 3:47
I wouldn't insult a future wizard if I were you.
She's stunning.
It was a South Park reference.
would love to see her in a tarantino movie
Bin ja froh das diana Krüger das TH richtig aussprechen kann. Eine Deutsche für die man sich nicht schämen braucht.
I heard exactly the same from someone else.
PsToNsSH is right though - it gets SO much better when their business is growing. Season 4 and 5 were really intense. I don't remember anything from Season 1 or 2 to be honest.
I also remember thinking Season 1 was very boring so I almost stopped. But Season 5? Damn!
Actually, English is one of the more difficult languages out there, mainly do to all the exceptions of how grammar works. And I haven't heard someone say more better since I was 10, and that was another 10 year old who said it. So I have no idea what you are talking about.
What a beauty.
Your right - im Danish.
Conan would play for Saul in BB
Every scene in Honey Boo Boo is so dense. There's just so much going on.
which is simply awesome and it will hardly be surpassed.
Golden comment right there XD
Well she didn't say it was like good crack, and she didn't specify what Star Wars movies it was like. Maybe she meant episode 1-3? Then all she said made sense.
Honey Boo Boo is like really really bad crack and Star Wars episode 1-3.
"if the shoe fits, you must wear it!"
the first season wasn't the greatest, and 2 was okay, but every season after that is just amazing. i'd recommend you try and get through it
I assumed so but even then, I disagree. Maybe her physical physique, skin, and hair all point toward 20, but she has a level of cognition that can be see through her eyes that most 20 year olds do not yet possess. But yeh! Surprising and crazy that she's 37!
She implied quite a lot of stereotypes and gender roles. Well done.
yeah but that is what americans always do... sadly they don't even notice.... for exemple their italien accent when they try to do mario is often not even an italien accent :D
Snickerz4Lunch But she is not american...she is german and has lived mostly in Europe during her childhood and teenage years!
***** that why I said it... I wanted to say that americans should not complain about something when they do it too
Eat.Sleep.Internet. I don't know what you're talking about regarding "gender roles". I can see how maybe you can take offense to perceived stereotypes about Americans (I don't because everything she said was true), but she didn't say anything in regards to gender.
moonlily1 I wasn't offended by any of it really. It was just something I noticed. I believe my comment on gender roles was regards "wanting a play gun is a boy thing".
She has a really great American accent
ROFL!!! This killed me!
She is so cute
Interesting take. I'm a Canadian- reputation notwithstanding I think we are actually quite high in the guns per capita stats among industrialized countries, but compared to the states they do not loom that large. It's comparatively uncommon for "gun crime" to affect regular people. We've had some high profile incidents over the decades, there was one 8 years ago in which a guy with a rifle killed an unarmed soldier on sentry, then shamed the pitiful security around our parliament. On the whole, "gun crime" only little affects regular people. Toronto is periodically convulsed by small scale "mass shootings" that turn out to be young wannabe gang members testing each other. Rare for innocents to be affected, so that's good.
That's almost all illegal guns. We are also high in the legal guns per capita stats, but it's quite difficult to get and keep them legally.
All that to say, in everyday life Canadians scarcely encounter guns let alone use them, and yet I concede I'm a little taken aback by an actor unwilling to handle one or perform in such a scene. I would have thought that more likely for someone from a country with high rates of everyday gun violence, not Germany.
I'm with ya, Conan. I don't watch reality tv, either. And Honey Boo Boo, I saw a clip when they were making 'sketti;' I literally almost threw up.
HOUSE OF CARDS.
Honey boo boo is actually a great show they really do love era other
On February 2nd, 2013, RUclipsr Jessob Reisbeck uploaded a video featuring an interview with a homeless man named Kai from a local Fox affiliate KMPH in Fresno, California. In the video, Kai recounted saving a woman from a deranged man who had just rammed a man with his car (shown below, left).
I will always love her for that.
its true, honeybooboo and their family are much happier than alot of americans today because they dont care about what other people think, and they have people around them who love one another.
Asian and German accents are different. She can also pronounce hard Rs which most Asian's can't. I've known a few Germans and they have trouble with Ws, which in their country makes a V sound.
Diane is so pretty
Now you know after he told you.
She was fucking flawless in "Troy", I wouldn't even recognize her here? I realize that she's older but still.
Scary Bees
HELEN OF TROY!
Hahaha, yet an other Scandinavian production have been "American-itated".
Honey boo boo and Breaking bad come together with the meth addictions
I find "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" quite endearing as well. As Diane said, their simplicity and their happiness is something we should not spurn. I find it admirable that they are comfortable with who they are and that they seem to enjoy life. I also think that a lot of people criticize the show without even watching an entire season of it. How condescending and how arrogant is that?
woot
Just search "Cartman gets Aspergers" on youtube and have fun
Both pronounciations are used in the star wars movies.
How can anyone with a stable mental state compare honey boo boo to star wars?
Ok i`ll give it a shot then..
Oh my, somebody's an angry one.
'One of the simplest languages in the world to learn'?.. Are you kidding me?
I think she meant that Honey Boo Boo almost seems as foreign as aliens are in Star Wars.
i loved her in inglorious bastards. she's a fine lady
my my, Diane Cougar!
I love guns but I hate the people who use them
She's from Germany and in Germany we pronounce it like Obi-Wan
She looks so different
I'm German and I guess we are more likely to have trouble with 'th' since this combination/way of pronouncing the words doesn't exist in our language. The Ws do make a W sound in our language, I couldn't think of an exception. However, your V sound is our W sound and I for example have trouble with pronouncing the word 'voice".
OH~ Fraulein Brigitte Von Hammersmark ~
What about you Utevich? Can you abide it?
fit, 9.7/10
She speaks better English than 80% of the people I know in NYC.
Random fact: Did anyone notice she's missing her right earring? Lol
Because when I hear an american say things like "more better", I get chills down my spine. A person who's so bad at using his native language has to mocked. English is like my 4th language, and it even sounds wrong to me when its not spoken properly. Its also one of the simplest languages in the world to learn...so a person who grows up in an english speaking country, and still cant use it properly is just ridiculous.
