Hi Ali , I was wondering how the stochastic and the Williams %R can generate different results when they are the same as per you previous video, ie the stoc has a signal line , being the only thing different? Thanks for posting you research. On a simaller subject as per your previous video do you still hold the view that the Stoc RSI produces better results than either the RSI or the Stoc? thanks again for displaying all these wonderful videos cheers michael b
The indicators are tuned to produce certain number of trades with fix exit. So whatever parameters we have we play with to achieve that goal. This video follows the latest workflow and automate data population in excel to remove user data entry errors so its statistically better with more trades and more accurate. and ranking is based on strategies that pass robustness. Still every indicator will work best on some instruments. In the next video in this series i show this on how to build strategies based on the data findings.
Hi Ali, I tried to test it myself but getting completely different results for some reason, basically, lookback 5, buy -65 sell -5 , daily , keep trade open (not closing EOD) am I missing something else for the basic of what you shown?
the strategy is very simple, so it's straight forward to replicate. I can only think of data is the culprit, make sure you are using daily session only not the 24 hour session
So underrated! Ali I hope this channel gets recognition it deserves!
Thank you so much for your kind words
excellent channel with real value.
i especially like it when you explain the indicator and even show it's formula.
Thanks you!
Thank u for watching
Hi what does it mean " hold to the close " larry Williams.
without context, it means sell at the close, most likely it's an intraday trade.
Love this series.
Thank u, me too 😊
You need a more lemans terms version of this... But I think I get it, WPR is better than MACD and RSI and Stochastics?
Thank u for the feedback 👍
Excellent. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent as always. What is the formula for your robustness filter?
currently i use a proprietary filter, but it is highly correlated with RET/DD, just make sure to check number of trades is at least 100
Great series Ali 👍
thank you 😊
Also if you ever run out of ideas for trading videos it would be interesting to see how you set up all your spread sheets and manage all the data.
Sure
