Ya Cotton Candy/Confessions kinda had a My Sunday/My Melody moment which is super cool. They are also performed by different members. Cotton Candy is Hyeju Vivi and Yeojin while Confessions is Hyunjin Gowon and Yeojin. Its also kinda fun that Yeojin is in both versions because My Sunday/My Melody were the bsides off of her solo debut. They did a performance at the showcase where they combined both songs which was really cool. They also have an MV coming for Cotton Candy/Confessions on the 7th which there is already a teaser out for.
I've been obsessed with Hyunjins voice since forever but she tore in confessions... her airy vocals paired with the bass is everything to me!! glad she gets to show off her insane vocals

Secret Diary was really something else 😍 This album is really different and really good. And I won't even talk about TTYL choreo and Cotton Candy and Confession performance. Really really good.
Sorry last comment but I love listening to hyunjin sing. I cant get over bbc hiding that voice from the world and people constantly ranking her as one of the weakest vocals in loona.

I'm still warming up to "TTYL" (the song) but the production in this album is pretty great all around. Listened to it through both headphones and a 2.1 system, and it sounds fantastic. The songs themselves are great too. But forget about the production, BBC didn't even know how to properly utilize the member's talents. I'm convinced Jaden brought them to LOONA to add color and character to the group, because there were better singers technically, but they a lot more to offer to the group that one liners and throwaway chorus lines. "Cotton Candy" was already a great song, but I agree with you, when "Confessions" comes in, it suddenly turns into an even better track. Given both songs are considered like two sides of the same song, we could be listening to the first 6 minute Kpop song ever, thinking about it. I still consider this release as an EP (so they don't have to go up against and Assemble24, which are proper full albums), but this is very, very good. Still waiting for your Rescene reaction. I think they just delivered a legit contender for EP of the year too. Lastly, are those Sennheisers? Is it the 600 series? Just curious, they look really nice. (Edited for spelling)
AHHHH I haven't forgotten lol I just had a lazy day today 😭 Ima record hella in the morning but Rescene is not forgotten! And yep they are the HD 600's good eye👊🏽 I love the look but more than anything they're open back and plug into any audio interface and make it almost impossible to miss something in production!
Loossemble brought the VOCALS this time around. showing big sisters ARTMS - hey we rap but we can sing too. now ARTMS needs to comeback with a rap heavy track to let the younger members know - settle down we can do it too ❤️ OTx12 for life … Lets go 💯
Cotton candy has my favourite unit preformance but Confessions is the better song to listen to. And agree they should have kept Hyunjin's adlib going a bit longer before switching back
Great Review! Apparently the writer Jae Stephens did the ad libs on Secret Diary. It is apparently based on her Name&Number from 2019 but Hyeju did the lyrics for this one

The pay off of this album is so good. And i agree this album is a more mature comeback which sets them apart from their cuter image.
