Goodbye my Zane."_ Quite possibly the greatest monologue we got from this season. I'd need to go back and check but if this isn't Number 1, it's still definitely up there. This speech by Pixal came totally out of left field for me. All things considered, Pixal has never really been the focus of this show. So to see her give such a heartfelt speech in this middle of this battle was incredibly emotional. Pixal is really stoic and that makes these rare shows of genuine expression exceptionally powerful. Not to mention Zane and Pixar's relationship really hasn't been this deeply explored since season 3. It's been so long I actually forgot that Rebooted had scenes developing their relationship! Porps to the music too, it did its job so well! Using the music where Nya died and then when Zane was resurrected were such great choices! And that last line, the one where she says she doesn't know if there is anything after this life for beings like them, my God, THAT HIT DEEPER THAN I EVER EXPECTED NINJAGO TO GO. Most shows are afraid to talk about concepts like the Afterlife. Then again, Ninjago is not most shows. Ninjago's tackled concepts like death, moving on, and missing loved ones who have moved on before, but the way Pixal does here is so _profoundly_ moving. I never before considered if robots could go on, but the way Pixal talked about it makes me certain that she had thought about it before. To hope that you will reunite with your loved ones is a very human feeling. But here, we have a robot expressing this most human desire. That makes this line ironic but it is though that irony that we experience its undisputed impacted. That irony turned this into one of the most moving, emotional, and impactful scenes I've ever seen form Ninjago. You did good with this one writers. You did amazingly good! Thank you for giving me another Ninjago scene that elevates itself above just being a kids show. I'd say this scene took my breath away but that wouldn't be appropriate. For this scene discussed faith in the Afterlife. So I think far more fitting to instead say that this scene gave me life. _And what a wonderful life it is._ :'-)
I literally couldn't agree more, Pixal not only expressing the most human emotion shes ever had to Zane but also getting into existentialism and wondering where they would be together for the rest of their lives hit different. If anything I'm super glad their relationship came full circle in this season :D
Personally I think robots do have some kind of afterlife in this universe, seeing as Cryptor's pissed off ghost came back in Day of the Departed and Zane's ghost decides death is over-rated at the end of season 3 and possesses an entire factory to rebuild himself.
This scene made me cry just because it really shows just how FAR our girl Pix has come. Yes, she did START as just a love interest for Zane but she's become nothing short of her own woman with a relationship and an inner strength that started from them coming together. They are still their own people but they have become stronger BECAUSE of one another's love. This speech perfectly encapsulates all of what these two have become as a team and this animatic had me sniffling at my desk all over again. AMAZING work.
Such a dramatic and intimate scene. If only it wasn't used as another excuse to do a fakeout death. Enjoyed the Pixane and the animatic though. Nicely done! And animated very quickly, might I add.
This scene was so touching and sad. It’s one of the heavier moments in Ninjago. Especially since Pixal realizes that they’re not human, and might not even have souls. To me though, they do. You’ve done amazing work, and captured the emotions. I always loved how even Ronin looked sad in this scene.
They way the first time this music was used being when Pixal realized Zane was still alive and started the work in repairing him and then used it for this scene was what got me the first time and now it has gotten me again!!!

I just watched this episode the other day and I was emotional afterwards. Zane and Pixal always have such sweet moments, like Zane's interactions with Pixal in S3, again in s8 and Zane's message in s11 etc.

This was absolutely stunning! The expressive animation and everything about it was just amazing! The subtle movements in the animation when Zane wakes up and looks for her and how he got off the table as she jumped into his arms. Just so much about this that I love!! I'm going to be stuck watching this for a while! ^w^ This scene in the show had me in tears, hearing Pixel's voice break got me breaking. Seeing and hearing Zane's slow and sluggish movements and speaking sounded so natural considering the situation and what happened, and yet he still got up to catch and hold Pixal in his arms. Just so much about this scene: What Pixal was saying, how she was saying it, referencing S3 and even bringing up the fact a lot of people weren't sure if Zane and Pixal would have an afterlife since they're droids, and so much. This was definitely one of the best recent Pixane scenes we've gotten in a long time and I could always come back to see it and everything amazing about it, and cry every time.

i agree with everyone in the comments, this scene is breathtaking, but holy wow have you done an amazing job on this animatic!!! the parts that struck me most where the emotion on zane's face upon waking up and the animation of their hug. truly beautiful, keep it up!
