Hi RefalaStas, it depends on your use environment and the character of your voice. The condenser K669 will reproduce a much clearer sound while the audio from the AM8 is warmer and fuller. If your voice is already quite bassy, then the K669 could be a better choice, or we would recommend the A8 that appeared in the video for both gaming or recording. Or the microphone itself has it inside it?
Nice review - not sure why majority of ppl go for a condensor mic (without even bothering on checking their room/environment). Standard streaming for gamers, etc... dynamic mic for sure.
Thanks. Agreed. If you have a loud environment you’d wanna go with the mic that rejects that best. Condensers usually pick it all up unless you’re using noise suppression software.
Don’t get the AM8 unless you don’t care about size, I thought it would be fine but the am8 is huge. Takes a lot of space and the mount makes the mic longer.
I can only vouch for the am8 as I have not gotten my hands on the A8 plus yet. The AM8 will do better noise rejection but may not have as much pick up or have. The A9 does have 4 condenser modes however with 4 mics built in. You can literally talk from the front and back of it at the same time.
Unfortunately in my country they don't sell the AM8 (without a heckload of shipping fee) so I had to settle for the A8 which arrived today. I'll make sure to work on those filters just right, but I'm a streamer so I don't do much "post", sigh.

Hi! Your video is very helpful. Btw I'm looking for a microphone to teach online via google meet and there's a lot of noise around me (cars, kids, dogs...), which one should I choose in this case? I'm considering AM8 but still want to hear from you. Thanks.
In this scenario the am8 would be better. The fifine tank 3 does an even better job with noise. Sounds like you may even need something with active noise cancellation.
Watching the comparison between both mics it does seem like both are a very good pick for someone who wants a quality mic at low price point. The AM8 seems like the less hassle mic, requires less set up out of the box for someone who might not know how to do that stuff right away. It picks up your voice well enough and background noise is very hard to pick up. But it doesn't capture your voice as well as the A8. The A8 picks up way more detail, and results in a clearer sound of your voice. But it requires way more set up, because it picks up so much background noise. If you put in the extra work it can be as good or slightly better than the AM8. But the AM8 still seems like a quality mic.
@@TekToyzGamingThat as well. From my observation of what I've seen of this mic, if you just want to do plug in play with a USB-c to USB it's a very quality set up for a budget. But for someone who has more experience with audio mixing you have the option to go the XLR route. I'm considering buying a mic for my PC gaming set up. Between these two as someone who has almost no experience with audio I definitely see the AM8 as the better entry level option.
hi man, which one do you choose considering an environment with a lot of noise, AM8 or A6V (for streams)? do you think there is much difference from one to the other? a big hug from Brazil
If you’re streaming next to train tracks then you will need the AM8 for better noise rejection. Or you can get the a6v and use noise cancellation software.
Hey I was thinking of buying a new mic and I am really leaning towards am8. I was also considering the k688 but can't really hear the difference so I think I will just take the cheaper one - am8. Also do you know if am8 picks up a lot of keyboard sounds? Anyway amazing video!
Thanks for the visit and question. The am8 can pick up keyboard sounds if close enough. I suggest using some sort of noise canceling software to mitigate it. Or at least have the mic on a boom arm.
I paused the video at 10:32 just to make this comment and I would like to say I'm leaning towards the Fifine AM8 because I feel like it would be best for me so thank for this video it was very helpful, also I am subscribing now :))
Thanks for the feedback. I haven’t gotten my hands on the k668 yet. As a dynamic mic the k688 would be very comparable to the am8 in terms of audio quality. It think it really balls down to the style and features you prefer.
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you noticed the difference in sound quality with the AM8. I use OBS with noise suppression, compression and limiter.
Hi! Why is this your only video I ever saw?? I almost went for the looks of the A8. But I found a great deal on the AM8 plus boomarm so I might just ditch the fancy lightning of the A8 and not let it steal my shine 🤣 thanks so much!
Hi there. It doesn’t have to be the only video you ever saw of mine. You can watch all of them!😁 lol. If you got a deal on the mic and arm I say go for it. But before you do you might want to check fifines new mics recently released.
Hi. Thanks for the question. So for noise suppression I use an app called Open Broadcast Studio (OBS). It’s a very popular app. It has noise suppression filters and others you can apply to your audio.
@@gaiapiccarducci-eq4km of course. Well for this video I just used noise suppression. The mics here shine mostly on their own. For more advanced I use very minimal compression and limiter. Don’t really use noise gate as suppression works best for my setup and surrounds.
The one that will do a better job with keyboard noise is the AM8. To remove all keyboard noise you will need some artificial noise suppression, like I added with OBS.
@@TekToyzGaming Does OBS do it in real time or just for recordings? I can still hear the clicking clacks of my keyboard in recordings even with suggested filters. I’ll have to try the Nvidia app.
@@briangarrotto6951 OBS can do it in real time, it just has to be open and running in the background. You can try combining noise suppression with noise gate. Test with different levels, just enough so that it’s not cutting your voice out as well.
Hi Brian, it's a dynamic microphone, compared to condenser mics, it picks up much less keyboard sound already. But if those sounds are still pretty loud to you, you can consider using with a boom arm to get the mic further away from the keyboard while closer to your mouth.
Can I connect any of these to the iPhone Have you tested it with any adapter and if you ahve can you tell me which adapter or could you tell me the link

@@Nicole_Zyon thanks. That’s actually a good video to make. I get enough inquiries about settings and noise reduction options. I actually don’t do much but still should make a video anyway. Also I have a new Fifine mic as another option. New video on dropping in a few days.
Never done asmr, but I would think that dynamic mic may do better. But of course it depends on the type of asmr. related to the mics in this video the AM8 may be better.
Absolutely. You might laugh but I just add the noise suppression filter. That’s it. No fiddling with settings for it. Not doing anything sophisticated with it. Aside from that I add a small amount of limiter to keep it from spiking pass the red.
For me the A8 sounds much better, hear 9:45 to 9:50 ("more so i think with the AM8") and compare that to AM8 on 8:47 to 8:57. The AM8 might be somewhat cleaner yes, but the musicality/ the vibe of your voice is much better on the A8. And that is what makes the wow-effect for me. Had this also on two other videos with A8, just wow about the vibe of the voice. For people with louder background might be the AM8 btter if filtering isn't good enough also for people who like the "cleaner" (don't know if it's the accurate word?: more sober/plain?) sound. Other than that the A8 wins for me.
This is a good point. I think perhaps for something like singing the frequency range and sensitivity level of the a8 would do the job better. Kinda really depends what you need a mic for and how you’re gonna use it.
I would have to say the AM8 as in all of these instances I can be close enough to the mic to sound best, and the am8 sounds better and don’t really need to edit audio. AM8 has the better noise rejection as well.
@@xavierperez7720 discord has their own built in noise cancellation feature. You can enable that in settings. @@codilyn7328 for your purpose there wouldn’t be much benefit other than aesthetics. The am8 is also significantly bigger. One other is that it has an audio monitoring volume knob if you’re going to be monitoring audio.
Hi codilyn, if your voice is soft, the less sensitive dynamic mic AM8 may not be quite suitable, but it does add more bass to your voice to make it sounds full, which is definitely a plus point to you. But overall the most important thing is whether the sound is loud enough, the A8 is better at reproducing loud and clear sound than the AM8.
I know the noise suppression works on OBS and Nvidia but I need to use the mic also for Zoom and Teams for work from home. Is there a way to add noise suppression to the mic itself to use it in calls?
I should make a video on the audio filters, though they are so basic I didn't think it would warrant one. I really only use noise suppression and some compression directly from OBS. But I suppose I can get into the depths a little more with a dedicated video👍
My friend, what do you use to apply the filters? I mean, I may use Goyo in OBS to create my courses and another filter to deal with background and cancellation noise, but in case I want to present something life like a webinar, or video conference most of the applications as Google Meet or Zoom have something for cancellation noise, but I don't find the way to deal with the background (environment, kids, car noise), the only thing that works is Krisp, but I'm curious if you use something else, I use a mac M1, I know I was using Linux but the company changed my laptop to a MAC M1.
Hi. I use the mic for talking in discord or in game. Which Fifine microphone would you recommend me? The room is noisy mainly because of the coolers in my PC.
Hi ist alexa, the dynamic mics would be the choice in your case. If you don't want to bother with the XLR features, you can go for the K658 with only a USB connection. But we still recommend the ones with XLR connections, so that you don't have to replace the whole mic for the future upgrade.
Hey man! Very nice review. Im currently looking for a microphone, mostly for voice acting. Since they are both currently at very simmilar prices, i am very undecided between both. Could you suggest me one? Big hug
Hey appreciate the feedback. So if you have a very quite room then I would suggest the A8 here. If not go with the am8. This one is hard to beat at this price.
Please tell me which microphone is best for me to choose up to $100? Input data: the current microphone is a t669 with a pantograph, the sound insulation of the room is 5/10, there are no sound panels (but there is a desire to purchase), an audio card is only built into the computer. Goals: voice-over of videos, recording videos on RUclips or tick tok. Most likely in the future I will buy a sound card. Now I am most inclined to a dynamic microphone, but I am also considering condenser ones. Now the choice has fallen on 2 models from fifine: AM8 and K688. Which of these microphones should I choose, or are there better solutions?
Coincidentally Today I am getting the k688 for review. I am inclined to say the k688 as it’s a dynamic microphone. My experience with the am8 dynamic mic has been great. I have swapped out my A8 for it. The a8 does have good dynamic range. Can’t say for sure until it get the k688 in my hands.
i share a room(same wall too lol) with my gf who also uses a mic, i think the am8 would be perfect. been looking for a cheaper dynamic mic with good noise suppression. thanks
Do you mean for OBS or just in general? On the market there are a lot of options. Off top of the head I think of Blue Lab Audio Denoiser. Works in OBS and on entire pc.
yo, I have a question. I have A8 and microphone volume settings in windows do nothing. Only on microphone I can adjust volume. Is it okay or theres something wrong?
Should be just fine controlling mic volume with your mic alone. Just be sure that if you mute your mic in windows that your mic doesn't actually get muted.

If this is a paid advertising . You deserve it . Perfect and amazing explain and trial for all the cases. Thanks man u deserve the 1 mil sub
Thanks I really appreciate your feedback. Glad this helped out.
Unfortunately in my country they don't sell the AM8 (without a heckload of shipping fee) so I had to settle for the A8 which arrived today. I'll make sure to work on those filters just right, but I'm a streamer so I don't do much "post", sigh.

In this scenario the am8 would be better. The fifine tank 3 does an even better job with noise. Sounds like you may even need something with active noise cancellation.

Thanks for the feedback👍🏽and I agree😬
Wow! Thanks Man
Very good comparison 👌
Dear, which is better for ASMR video?
The am8 for sure.
The AmpliGame A8Plus will be the best choice for its omnidirectional and stereo modes that you can choose from.
@@MrSupersonic2012 very good points. Also the am8 is usb and xlr. It will also work with a mixer.
Or you can get the a6v and use noise cancellation software.
the noises are from the family talking, that's all, do you think the AM8 is still better or can I go with the A8 or A6V?
@@nicoringa6917 if there’s talking in background then definitely want the am8. The other 2 have more pickup so the talking will be captured.
I paused the video at 10:32 just to make this comment and I would like to say I'm leaning towards the Fifine AM8 because I feel like it would be best for me so thank for this video it was very helpful, also I am subscribing now :))

good video! can you do comparison between am8 and k688 on which one is better?
Thanks for the feedback. I haven’t gotten my hands on the k668 yet. As a dynamic mic the k688 would be very comparable to the am8 in terms of audio quality. It think it really balls down to the style and features you prefer.
What software do you use and at what setting for the am8? the default, vs your settings is night and day, crisp. Thanks
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you noticed the difference in sound quality with the AM8. I use OBS with noise suppression, compression and limiter.

in 8:57, how did u make the quality better? like how did u apply noise filter? im new in this world and trying to get a good mic :,)
Hi. Thanks for the question. So for noise suppression I use an app called Open Broadcast Studio (OBS). It’s a very popular app. It has noise suppression filters and others you can apply to your audio.
@@TekToyzGaming awh thanks! would u mind sharing what filters u used?
@@gaiapiccarducci-eq4km of course. Well for this video I just used noise suppression. The mics here shine mostly on their own. For more advanced I use very minimal compression and limiter. Don’t really use noise gate as suppression works best for my setup and surrounds.

A8 or Am8?
@@marciokenny5583 am8
Is there a way to keep it from picking up loud keyboard presses while gaming?
Hi, which would you recommend for asmrvideos?
I would recommend the am8 in xlr mode.

You are correct my friend. You can use the mics’ 3.5mm port as passthrough audio for your pc.

Hi Marco, but we're afraid that these two are two completely different mics. If you're in a quiet room and your voice is bassy, a condenser mic is the better choice. Otherwise, go for a dynamic one when using it in a noisy environment. What Maono DM30 aims for is the AmpliGame A8 or A6V.
