In 2004 I was selling Merchant Services. Getting a loud 6 pound knock on my Brookings Oregon Best Western room at 1130 pm on a Sunday in late January. It was a California Highway Patrol and a Pelican Bay security guard advising an inmate had escaped. I was happy to have brought my Berreta 92f like I always did.
Doesn't take courage to be a killer or criminal, it takes not caring about the consequences. Not caring if you live or die,end up on death row. It takes courage to be a father,husband,son,brother. That's where real loyality and love can live
That’s why police deal with so much psychopath and sociopath stuff that they get used to thinking that crime is normal and just commit crime of their own. There is a similar type of gang life in the police force and justice system. On the faces of the prison guards you can see they probably commit their own crime. This is like an alternate world of psychopaths and sociopaths.

The saddest thing is that so many people, not just people in prison, fail to realize how amazing this planet and universe is, there are so many incredible things to see and learn and most people never get to experience them, too many people confine themselves into a box and never get to truly live.
Saw tv show on Russian prisons ....There were no gangs and it was very regimented ..they were marched together everywhere ..It was very strict and run like a military boot camp 24 hrs a day-from bed making to lights out ...If they survived they wouldn't go back ...Prison was Hell...Crime is dealt with severely..

On Greyhound from Eureka southbound you always see fresh out convicts from PB. All wearing khakis. Met interesting freshies during Ukiah lunch stop. First stop to exit the bus into freedom. Gave them a joint. No doubt they'll remember that forever.
In 1998 I started a 5yr SHU term in the Bay and no matter what type of security measures they implemented we handled business and communicated at will. Now that all the bosses are out of the SHU (due to a lawsuit) and on the main line business is really blossoming.
This shows that many criminals are really intelligent people that never learned how to harness their abilities for good. The gangs bring them in being the only ones to ever showed any care to these young minds. Once again the system has failed & this doc is from 15 years ago or about that.

It shows who has the brains in prison - the inmates can manage to make knives, open outside bank accounts, send coded messages etc and yet the guards can't even think of a way to stop a man taking down a drain hole.
Maybe my take is they probably don’t care, they do what they can with the training they receive on the job , but at the end of the day their thinking about going home firing up the bbq, wife/husband kids Xbox.

In the video the guard clearly says they can't stop a man talking down a drain or another from passing written messages under the cell door. It is no good the guards saying the can't stop an activity for the benefit of the camera when the reality is different.
They also have girlfriends and women way out of their hand because many women have an attraction to dangerous bad boys psychopaths..
Imagine what these guys could accomplish if they put as much energy into getting a good job in an office or something like that, as much as they do with creating weapons and communication methods in prison.

In 1998 I started a 5yr SHU term in the Bay and no matter what type of security measures they implemented we handled business and communicated at will. Now that all the bosses are out of the SHU (due to a lawsuit) and on the main line business is really blossoming.

If you were paroled while doing an existing SHU program than when you returned for a violation you would go back to the SHU to finish it.
