I truly enjoy your channel! I can’t believe my taste in books is so like yours, it’s so nice to be able to hear you talk of books that I have read and own. I also enjoy your tea and tattle videos, only difference is I love coffee versus tea. Thank you for bringing me joy especially now!! ❤️
Thank you Miranda for a lovely range of reads. I am half way through The Doll Factory and am looking forward to listening to your interview with Elizabeth Macneal. I am re-reading Melissa Harrison's Spring: An Anthology for the Changing Season as it is easy to dip in and out of the short pieces. My longer read at the moment is Finlay J MacDonald Omnibus which I really enjoy. I am so grateful for all you are doing to keep us motivated and looking forward to your posts is a joy at this difficult time, thank you. Stay safe and well, Teresa 📚💕
Thanks so much Teresa! I love Melissa Harrison's seasonal anthologies - they're wonderful reads, and you're right - perfect to dip in and out of at this time. Take care too xxx
I am such a fan of Green Knowe! I must go pull out my copies. And a new Lucy Worsley? Sounds wonderful! Thank you for these excellent discussions, especially about the theme of home.
Can sympathise with that feeling of distraction Miranda. Have a couple of books I could get stuck into but haven't picked them up yet. Must say I'm enjoying baking like you and reading cook books. I've a batch of hot cross buns proving at the moment xx
Interesting books as usual, I was particularly intrigued by "the Austen girls". I love Miss Marple and I like listening to detective stories while baking :) I usually stick to Poirot then. I am reading "Don Quijote" by Miguel Cervantes but only in the spare time left from work... it's a huge book and I am going to need a while =D
Golden Age mysteries are somehow the perfect accompaniment to baking, aren't they?! Thank you very much - so glad you enjoyed this video. And I'm interviewing Lucy Worsley about The Austen Girls on my podcast, Tea & Tattle, on Tuesday - so there will be lots more about her most recent book on that! xxx
I love buying the furrowed middlebrow ebooks so cheap and once a week dean street press well put a ebook or for free from that line or their crime line.
Hi Miranda! I think you had a wonderful reading month! The Jane Austen at Home book is absolutely stunning. May I ask, is there a particular narrator of the Austen books that you recommend on Audible? There are so many different choices and I trust your opinion. Thank you for another fantastic video! Can't wait to see what's next!
Juliet Stevenson is always a good narrator. I especially like her reading of Sense & Sensibility. Lindsay Duncan is a wonderful reader of Pride & Prejudice, and Jenny Agutter narrating Emma is pure joy too. They're all available on Audible xxx
We've been struggling to get through books over the past few weeks too! Cosy crime and mysteries do seem to be hitting the spot at the moment, though. Miss Silver came up a few times at #cosycrimechat on Twitter earlier this week :) The Doll Factory sounds creepy, but brilliant!

I so recommend the new Lucy Worsley! I think it's such a sweet read for any Janeite (even adults!) xxx

Creepy but brilliant is a good way to describe it! Miss Silver is definitely the ultimate cosy for me :)
