On One Wrekker Live Ride Review

  • On One's Wrekker is a sweetly detailed titanium aggro hardtail mountain bike with a properly insane 62 degree head angle and 77 degree seat angle. That means it loves freaky steep tech, but it's remarkably useable as a smooth and lively trail MTB too. The RockShox Lyrik Ultimate, SRAM GX AXS spec is mad for the money too.

    I got the Loco Moto which is the same frame as this with the Pike and I have now sold both my full sus enduro and trail bikes as I was never riding them - I was always on the Titus. Looks weird, rides just like the reviewer said. Bloody brilliant fun, does anything and everything well. Only caveat to it all is you have to really work hard to get the front end up when youre going off stuff. The front wheel is glued down because of the length.

    In your opinion how do the sizes ride? I see yours is an L, but how tall are you? long limbs?
    I'm 1.88m and that puts me at the end of the L spectrum AND beginning of the XL, wondering which size to go for...

    • @GuyKesTV
      @GuyKesTV  2 года назад +2

      Hi Uldis, I'm 1.8m with short legs and long arms and TBH I'm probably between the M and L as the L is at the longest end of the spectrum for me. Good for speed and straight stuff, but for playing in the woods I'd go for the smaller of the two sizes.

    Nice review Guy,thank you 🤘.
    Can i ask which bike would you pick for max £2500 out of hartail's and full suspension under 14kg preferably 😬, i'm just wondering what you would choose as maybe it's like not such a good idea to get a hardtail because for this money i could get a trek top fuel 5 or polygon t8 etc or maybe that's even a bad idea as maybe e bikes are the way to go now ive seen some second hand for this price ?,i was going to choose between this bike or trek roscoe 9 or orbea luafey h ltd or whyte 909 but would this bike be a lot nicer ride as it's titanium vs alu on the others,also am mostly climing say 60/40 downhill and used to a 64.5 ha on my whyte 801 v3 2021, it's pretty good but time for an upgrade 😁

    • @GuyKesTV

      What sort of riding are you wanting to do on them. Rocky trails? Smoother flow trails? jumps and drops? Long and lots and climbs?

    • @SSH01
      @SSH01 2 года назад

      Actually it's more like the trails on this video not anything major downhill stuff but there is some bits can be steep,rooty muddy etc if winter,mostly road climbing some tech single track also, but it's nothing too big just short steep rooty muddy downhilling where i am unless i get to glentress or up north etc.I did go on this site called 99 spokes and compared these bikes and it's saying the orbea laufey h ltd is the faster over the whyte 909 and roscoe 9 by only 2 km/h,44 vs 42 and this wrekker is last place at 40 km/h so a little slower, idk how they work it out and wouldn't mind that if the titanium ride would be a lot better as ive never tried it and kinda tempted but just worried climbing will be a lot worse than the other bikes but maybe not as it's 77deg vs 74/75's,it's also saying the whyte 909 is best value until i typed in the trek top fuel 7 which they put on the list as a bit further a head on thier spec to cost graph thing of all the bikes it is 14.8kg and little past budget but kinda like the storage box thing even though they proberly made it a bit useless with being to small.Hopefully not confusing you too much 😅,i'm just struggling a bit wether to pick this over the other 3 hardtails,thank you very much for the help i'll send tip on pat if i can 🙂

    Great review! Which frame feels softer/more compliant? This Wreckker or the Hellow Dave?

    • @GuyKesTV
      @GuyKesTV  Год назад +1

      I’d say Dave feels smoother and more damped, esp with a bit more weight in the frame. Wrekker has more pop and zing to it if that makes sense.

    Was checking on the site and couldn't find what offset version of the fork the bike comes with?
    If it was the trendy 44mm one it would have a trail of 154mm... huge!
    Maybe in the case of such a slack bike, 51mm should be preferred?

    • @GuyKesTV

    • @GuyKesTV
      @GuyKesTV  2 года назад +3

      You'd think it would be shit right? There are certainly awkward moments on tight uphill turns or weaving around rocks etc just because of the length. The long chain stays and steep seat angle means the traction and overall poise are actually really good though and it feels solid when you're going hard on the pedals too.
