1984 Miners Strike - Goldthorpe Colliery

Some of Thatchers dirty work in 1984. And yet actually one of the BEST years of my life! Proud to be a Miner ... These scenes were common in LOTS of coal mining towns nearly every day for a year! Hear me well, what happened then is the result of now .. Stand together people ..

@petertownend It was a good year all round in my opinion. And yep, twice in the cells for standing up for social values. 26 years on I'm back living on the land where I used to work for 13 years. Now it's fancy neighbours and wheelie bins.
