I love these walk and talk style videos! I'm from Seattle and London is a city i'm considering moving to, so I love that we can join you on these walks and get a glimpse of the lesser known/less touristy parts of London. Thanks for sharing :-)
Thank you! I’m glad you liked the walk-and-talk. I hope this was informative. If you’re okay with the weather in Seattle, London is in easy mode for you!😆 I’ll be showing more off-the-beaten-path content!😉
I think come winter time, the weather in the UK really is miserable. Especially if you head up north, it seems to be eternally grey- as it is in Leeds at the moment. It's not even the rain which is the worst part its the fact that it always a horrible grey colour and a kind of cold unlike any other country. It's not like an icy chill that wakes you up but more like one that sucks the soul from you, not sure how to explain it. I think many Brits would actually prefer it to be colder and have snow- makes it interesting at least, rather than an eternal industrial grey. A final caveat is that the only time the grey English weather is nice is in foresty places like the Lake District/ Wales- especially when its foggy. The air feels so clean and refreshing, and the fog adds a lot of atmosphere. The monotone greyscale of many English cities and towns is what gets people.
Absolutely! Thanks for sharing your perspective. I totally get the sucking-the-soul kind of grey. The 30 minutes of sunshine we had in 10 days back in November was eye-opening!😳 I had many slices of carrot cake with fragrant Earl Grey to keep me going!😉 The saving grace, at least in London, is its liveliness and opportunities for exploration. As you know, it's also quite dry compared to other parts of the U.K. I can't wait to visit the Lake District and Wales. It's on my list!😁
@ Good man! Londons weather is definitely much better than some little towns up here… Also I’d recommend checking out ullswater in the Lake District, honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever been to, especially if you like hiking, the views from the hills are amazing
We do not have English weather in Wales. We have Welsh weather by definition. Real weather, bracing weather, wind and rain that’s set against you. The type of weather that makes the indoors a requirement in the winter.
Once you’ve stayed here for long enough you might revise your opinion 😂😂😂. Seriously, this winter has been grim. As early as from the end of last September the darkness really set in. In previous years it was still sunny until late October. I have SAD and it hasn’t been great this winter! Waiting for the end of March to arrive when the clocks go forward 😅.
Totally! The darkness is no joke, especially when it's wet like today. Living in London, I learned to distinguish the many shades of grey. I'm also looking forward to Spring.🥹 I will report back on how I feel about the weather then!😉 Thank you for listening to my take!
It all depends upon the shape of the Jet Stream. It takes many years to experience the full range of weather patterns. One good thing about the rain is that it cleans the streets of bird poo and gives it a fresher smell.

Thanks for the recommendation! Saved! Looks like it's closer to other places I saved in the Lake District.💯

@@JayPhelps-vt5qy unfortunately so yeah… I mean it’s probably not far off the conditions in some parts of England is what I was alluding to

I totally agree! How has this winter been compared to past winters? The rain does keep things clean around here!👀
@@mossbawi In 2019 we had very cold winds from Siberia. It was nicknamed The Beast From The East.
I'm glad we don't have the Beast from the East this year!🥶
What's your take on the weather in London?☂
I like your vibe and nosey to know what you do for living?
Thank you! I’m a researcher, so I’m perpetually curious about things and make observations about my surroundings!🤓
