I picked up this intake about a week ago for my Ram Power Wagon, and I would say it only took about 30 minutes to install thanks ro watching this video beforehand.
Hey Sir did you notice a little gain in MPG? or power?
That looks very OEM!!! Nice job on that product!!
Just bought one for my 2019 ram 6.4, price was just right. And fits in perfectly and looks awesome. I’m so glad I picked this up instead of the k&N. ***** stars
Legit! Thank you for the detailed instructions. Completed 1 hour ago. Yes, I can tell a difference in the pedal response for sure. Gas mileage increase, I'll check out on a few tanks but come on, it's a 6.4 Hemi. 🤣
Good job
What would you call a warm environment I live in prince George BC I drive down logging roads sometimes should I leave the cover on?
Great demo wish I could bet one but been waiting two months. Zero follow up from S&B
Did you get one yet?
@@5.0joe50 Yes, I did eventually get one love the performance and the install wasn’t bad at all. No real change in mileage but improved throttle response.
Does this work for a 2019 Powerwagon 2500 6.4 Hemi, having a hard time finding a cold air intake for it.
Getting conflicting info on whether a security code will have to be entered into the radio since you’re disconnecting the battery. Others have said that as long as the radio is not coming out of the vehicle and into another you won’t have to?
The install for the new version doesn’t say anything about leaving the battery disconnected for 2 hours. Is this still recommended?
Will it fit on a 2022?
did you guys change the fitment of the glass cover on the 19s? I have a S&B on my 18 and it has screws around the edge to hold it in place
The newer ones have a “snap in” lid , no more screws
What's the HP gain ? or MPG if any
You didn’t show how to remove the front bracket that’s on the rubber grommet on the front of the stock airbox...
What’s the purpose of leaving battery unhooked for 2 hrs?
For the engine controller relearn the new air flow. Cold air intake suck more air. If you start it and run it after you installed the mixture will be to lean.
I just installed s&b on my 2019 RAM PW , gain on fuel mileage .
Really? I'm thinking of putting this on my 19 power wagon
@@jordangraf673 just ordered one for my 21
@@LvDirtJunky have you notice any difference, I’m getting 12/14MPG rn on my 2021 2500 6.4 hemi
@@ciscoyonko3427 so far I’m averaging 12 city , 14 highway . That’s running the s&b and mbrp exhaust .I’ve tracked the mileage since day one . I’m at 5100 miles now . It’s increased maybe 1mpg since new . New I was seeing about 10-11 city 12-13 highway . If I keep it below 70mph I’d prob see 15 maybe a lil better . But usually cruise 75-80mph on the highway
@@LvDirtJunky
New 2021 only 12 to 14
on hwy..
Once over 10.K miles
About 18 to 20 ..
Love it!!! But how much more airflow does it give? And how much power can be gained?
@S&B Filters Put it on a dyno or stop making claims of additional HP. Easy enough?
@@MrThisIsMeToo I made this very comment to BullyDog years ago. They took me up on it, sent me a kit and I had it dyno'd. No difference at all.
If your engine doesn't NEED more airflow, stuff like this wont do anything.
@@ScottDLR Yep, just "Mississippi go fasters" (as we use to call them) they are selling. Waste of money. Company should spend more time at the dyno and less time at the tattoo parlor.
@@MrThisIsMeToo 🤦♂️ look, your motor is a giant air pump. K n has put them on a dyno and for a 345 hemi it was a 47hp gain. Why the claim says doesn't tell the whole story. If you look at the print out compared to stock, you see that it gains the hp lower in the range and keeps it throughout. So the top end gain is only 25hp, the 47hp over stock was at 2500rpms. You're getting huge gains when you open up a hemi. IF you pair it with a higher flow muffler, your total gain on the top end may be 50hp. The 345 hemi dynos around 330whp. The intake may get you to say 345 to be conservative. Exhaust may get you to 365 whp. But even though your only gaining 35 at around 5k rpms, you're gaining closer 100hp at 2500tpms. You will feel one hell of a difference. You'll increase mileage as well. More air in, more air out. With mopar, you can take the older eagle intake (6.1l srt) and bolt it right on the 345. You can with the newer 392 as well but the older one was larger and was able to get more air in. You can also bolt on the hellcat supercharger. Don't do that unless you build it to handle it. The bottom end won't take it very long. 345 hemi likes long tube headers over shorts, Duel 3in pipes. Then an actual tune will help you. It's not likely that a computer program chip will do much on its own.
@@MrThisIsMeToo LOL!
Hi Katy.
I’ve read that you guys suggest using this without the box plug with the exception of being under a heat wave. In you opinion how hot is to hot to go without the plug?
S&B Filters thank you
By installing this kit do you void the factory warintly?
Yep
@@vdinoman29 Thought it would.
Just take it off and replace it with the stock if anything
I've installed a few CAI, and I know several people who have them on their vehicles, and I've never heard of anyone's warranty being voided from it.
just put the old one back on if you ever need to take it in to the dealership
Will this work on a 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi 4x4 Gas, and if so which part # should I get
It will but I haven't noticed anything.
I only clicked on the video because there's a cute redhead
If it is pulling air from the same location as before the install....then what is the point?
Bigger box/filter , also larger intake tube ….
@@LvDirtJunky but same throttle body, so kind of pointless unless it has a different sound on heavy throttle.
@@mikesnifferpippets3733 better filtration
Nope.
Dang hello hottie!!
This the shit that i hate. Somebody took everything apart for this chick.. you dont see her struggling with anything.. the process has not been as easy as this chick would have you believe.. i love the idea of women mechanics.. but after following along with this tutorial... i highly doubt she is a real mechanic... just somebody to look nice for the video
There are definitely some poser female 'mechanics' on the interwebs, and motortrend tv etc, but I guarantee they would have edited out any extra time it took a guy to squeeze hard plastic molded part A into unforgiving plastic part B as well...
...regardless... if you had trouble installing this, you ... you should put your man card in the glove box and trade your truck in for a vw bug with a flower in the console.
