It's crazy people are ok with devs changing any rules of the game after release unless it just doesn't work or blocks progress. Their job is to fix the game as is, not change game

@@its.Lora. If they change the game rules from what I paid for, they are committing fraud. I do not want my stuff to change because someone somewhere complained it's unfair. What devs want doesn't matter after I bought the game. Steam forcing updates makes us use memory editors, file systems, and firewall blocks to prevent devs from ruining our game.If you had a brain you'd agree that what matters is fun, not devs randomly changing opinion. Skip this fight, if you don't come completely prepared, you'll likely end your run here. There are a few fights that can go wrong, and then completely go haywire afterwards. This is one of them.

Then simply cheese the fight. Remember Honor Mode is not for experiments. Especially if it's your first HM run. Just One Shot him and move on with your armor and shield@@SmugglinPunkins
@@SmugglinPunkins Just like any other encounter, you cannot predict exactly what you are going to get, because you can't cheese your builds due to rng. The hags hair, certain companions staying/leaving/dying. And the adamantine gear is great, but you'll replace it near the end of act 2 very likely, and the bonus is nice, but it won't be the turning tide in most fights.
I build my honor mode in a way where I basically rely on 2 characters to win fights for me, and 2 others to make it easier and function as support. This way I can lose 2 characters in most fights if the rng is bad, and still recover just fine. This specific fight... is about 20-30 hours in. Do you really want to repeat the same beginning you've done plenty of times, due to this boss not doing what it is supposed to do. You almost need to build your entire comp, just to beat this specific boss, for 2 pieces of gear that you will replace.
In my current run I've made sure to wait and level up to lvl 7 in act 1, just to be able to take another hit to the face from this guy. I'll do another attempt this week... but so far he's the one guy I skip if possible.

There is this Hold Monster scroll a vendor sold me and it made this fight incredibly easy. Just have to pray to hit the 45% chance.

Why don’t you install difficulty and new mechs mods instead of trying to challenge yourself for 1000 times to an easy vanilla?
she is using a mod that makes all magic wild magic, increases the chance for wild magic to happen and the mod adds a bunch of new wild magic effects
