I used to hit 40mph during my old morning commute... Felt like a fighter jet! Way batter than coffee in the morning. Cant imagine going much faster on a loaded bike! Kudos!
ESPECIALLY on a fully loaded bike. I’ve hit 45 on my 80s Faggin steel road bike on a super shitty road and it was terrifyingly exhilarating. Can’t imagine on a fully loaded rig
@@mstrshkbrnnn1999 💯 I've only gone 35mph on my bicycle in town, and it was awesome. Traffic was impressed that I was keeping up with them, lol. Made a motorcyclist laugh when I caught up at a red light.
@@mstrshkbrnnn1999 Exactly. I was on an 80s Peugeot when I found out my cheap speedometer capped out at 42mph 2/3rds down the hill I was bombing, can't imagine going down a mountain like that
My hat is off to you guys! I’m an avid bike camper but I lack the balls to ride pavement + constant car texters. I wish I could have done something like what you’re doing before my dad died.
I’ve been watching a lot of videos about bikepacking. Seen dozens of tutorials. However, I can’t find a video about how to map a safe route. Does anyone have advice?
I hate to be that guy but have those flashing lights on all the time. I couldn't see them in some shots and I do not trust drivers. Looks like an amazing trip though!
Bro I would love to honestly bike across the USA I love to be outdoors but idk if I would honestly have the time to sadly including work I'd rather travel the world like this but I don't know how I would be able to have enough money to do it fully but I would love to do those or something like it including if I could somehow make it a job
I don’t understand why bicycles ride with your back to traffic it’s so dangerous and you’d never see it coming. At least riding against traffic you can crash in a ditch if someone texting drifts over
There are a bunch of reasons. The best way to stay safe is to be predictable. Cars don’t expect cyclists going against traffic so they don’t react well. Plus, there is less time for them to react. Riding with traffic allows cars to slow down without stopping until it’s safe to pass
That one ant looked like it was carrying a spoon 😂
I came here to see if anybody else noticed that lol
😂😂😂
@@jesseleesamplessame lol
I wanted to post the same thing
Didn't believe it had to rewind and bro, that's forsure a fuckin spoon😂

This will be a memory that sticks your whole lifetime, and this will be a part of your future grandpa story hour.
Bird sounded like a meadowlark. They’re the state bird of KS, where I’m from. I love their call and they’re so pretty!
Looks like y’all are having a blast! Keep it up :)
44mph is no joke on a bike!
I was looking for this comment 👍🏼

ben & jerry’s and biking across the states would not pair well with my stomach 😂
Amazing, bros.
Biking is the best for your health… low impact on the body and anyone can enjoy it, stationary bike or other wise ✌🏻🤧👍🏻
We used to bike from Price, UT to Green River. 100 miles, all downhill
That bird is a western meadowlark
The state bird for Oregon and many other states
Good job guys🎉
Terry Fox 2: The Bike Returns
That would be awesome...😊
Actually crazy to me think that if you did that distance every day, you’d be across the US in a month… that’s super impressive!!

Pavement can be scary! But almost all the drivers on this trip were great
I miss that road. Moved from the area but used to travel co40 all the time.
Awesome!
Ride safe gentlemen. If more families did similar things the country would be saved.
Love that graph as Strava is a great app
Good luck
I have cycle camped but not on that scale, it feels like total freedom
Cool that area is where I’m from
Bro is living the dream

Legend father
Is that blinking light built in to the pannier?
Ahh yes. Dinosaur Colorado. The town of about 8 houses and 5 dispensaries 😂
Meadowlark!
How’s the gearing? How’s maintenance like in a long road trip like that ? ❤
Nice of you to come to Colorado, how'd the weather treat yall?
The weather was wild! Definitely added to the adventure
@@SamWestby yeah, our weather is pretty indecisive.

I've never heard of dehydrated carrots outside the context of cycling
How did you secure your bikes while shopping?
Did yall make it the whole way with no flats?
Did that one ant have a tiny, tiny spoon?
Jealous😕🚴🏽🫡💪🏾👊🏾
Thats an awesome memory to have with your dad. But yall need some sunblock or chlorophyll
You missed minnesota! 😮
I think that bird is a robin
Did that any have a spoon
I've hit 120 on a motorcycle and 50 on a bicycle, 50 on the bicycle felt wayyyy faster 😂
Bro the ant gotta spoon wtf😭

With the insane amount of bike paths this should be illegal
Get a motorcycle get a car get a truck or get OFF THE ROAD
The laws say it’s legal across the whole U.S. so I’m going to keep biking

Such a weird father son thing to do.
Run any red lights?
