God f*cking damn it! And here I was, thinking my paranoid anxiety-ridden ass found a fun DND podcast without major character death and other emotionally distressing topics. I should have know it was too good to be true. Do you (or anyone) happen to know roughly when it starts to become emotional? Dramatics I can handle no problem, but anything emotionally distressing will throw me right back into 'The Pit of Suicidal Ideation and Depression' and frankly I'd rather not climb back in that hole😅
Heyo Daddio I wouldn’t say it ever gets depressing or too heavy to bear. Like any good story it has peaks and valleys with the drama but I will say everything in TAZ has a happy ending. I suppose the serious plot stuff begins to take flight towards the middle/end of Crystal Kingdom, the third story arc.
Also the podcast remains fun and funny throughout! It’s a comedy show at its core and definitely stays that way - but dramatic story elements are interwoven to add a bit more weight to the narrative, which is only a positive in my opinion
@@heyodaddio4961 this podcast is emotional(it starts to take itself seriously beginning in Crystal Kingdom but stays mostly comedy for the majority of the rest of the campaign, and gets heavier in Stolen Century and Story and Song), but as someone who also struggles with depression and suicidal ideation, this didn’t affect me in a majorly negative way! Trying my best not to give major spoilers, but To me, the ending of this campaign is a wonderfully bittersweet ending, nothing heart wrenching or horrible at all! You’ll cry, but it’s a good kind of crying, if that makes sense :)
