When l was younger l use to go out with the surfers but on my boogie board..l could do tricks about 12 ft waves was probably the biggest l done .l sill go to the beaches on the great ocean road walking finding creatures n shells but not out in the big waves as I'm not as strong swimmer as l once was .60 now.just dirtbikes now .and sharks no thanks..RIP 17 YEAR OLD swimmer SHARK GOT her LAST WEEK .100 meters out.
You guys keep reminding me how stunning this country is and how lucky we are to live here. Glad you shook off the flu and you can continue your trip of a lifetime.
If you are heading south please go to a South West Rocks maybe camp at trial Bay also please don't forget Hat Head both places are off the highway but both places are close to heaven on earth
I hope you can make down to the Entrance, Palm beach, Avalon, Narrabeen etc. and the South Coast as well Wollongong, Bulli beach, Stanwell Tops, Coledale, Kiama, Merimbula and Hyams Beach with the whitest sand, there some many beautiful spots up and down the coast of NSW and the ocean pools too.
Pineapple and beetroot and bacon and egg is a must with ya burger. You can't beat a burger with the lot. 👌Best bang for buck and so delicious and fullfilling. 😎
Glad to see you guys back online I was starting to think that something may have happened to you. Too bad with the surf just keep dropping into the beaches as you head down the coast you never know you may luck out. Make sure that when you get to Hexham Bridge you turn left and go via Newcastle City and its beaches and not just bypass it by turning right and heading for the motorway to Sydney. Newcastle is a trendy place with a strong surf vibe and a number of beaches with some really good breaks . Mereweather Beach is the home of 4 times world surfing champion Mark Richards you never know he may even be in the line up at Mereweathers Ladies break at the ocean baths end if its working. There are lots of things to do in Newcastle City, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley area such like taking a side trip up to the blue water wonderland that is Port Stephens to do a dolphin cruise. You can sand board the most extensive sand dunes on the east coast along Stockton Beach just like you did at Rainbow Beach or do a camel ride from the Birubi Beach end....The dunes are so extensive that they have used them to film the desert scenes in movies. There is a great view from the Gan Gan Lookout in Nelson Bay you can see all of Port Stephens and all the way back down the coast to Newcastle.
I went through the Sates in 97 and while it was a long time ago I noticed that your beets are brined whereas ours are pickled. So where you guys have pickles on your burgers for the acid, we have beetroot. And as we say here.. "you cant beat a root" (you might get that one day if you stay long enough)
@@TheWickmansLife2024 when l make a salad l put tomatoes letuce red onions beetroot and use the juice from the beetroot can for the dressing.its nicer than all the dressings they sell.and probally more healthy.
Nice vlog. When you get to Sydney & you visit the zoo, which sits on some of the most expensive real estate in Sydney, maybe the next day you can visit Manly beach, the surfing is usually good there. Balmoral beach at Mosman (the zoo is in Mosman) is also a must see. There should also be decent surfing at Bondi beach...but avoid all Bondi beach on a weekend, big tourist area. Every time you show me another piece of my country, it reinforces how lucky I am to be Australian 😎
While I have never been a big fan of Byron itself, the surrounding areas can't be faulted, whether the bush in west or the coastal towns/villages like Lennox
When they were here last time they spent some time on Straddy. It was in one of their old videos I think it was one of the reasons why they came back for a longer trip.
Look back through their archives. One of the very first videos they made in Australia featured Point Lookout & Myora Springs. The whole Wickman family loved it. Who could blame them.
If you really want to find a bad beach then ???? nope there aren't any. Well there might be a couple up in the gulf country where you'd have to share with the crocs.
Wow, I could live in Australia.
Same.......wait a minute.....I do 😂 yeha🎉 , they make it look pretty good too 😂
Yeah it doesn't all look that cool but I can visit a local tropical island in about an hour.🏝️

That’s true I didn’t think about that! They are actually really good!

Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed! We plan on trying to hit those spots once we get down there! Australia is awesome!
The cicadas sound loud at Killen Falls. Went for a walk at Mount Glorious recently and we measured them at 90 decibels on a phone app. Enjoy NSW.
That’s wild! It really is so loud!
That was just so wholsome and love how enjoyable to watch.Thankyou very much.hey you wetsuit promoters give this family a complete fit out please.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! That’s so nice! Would be cool if we could get a deal!

For sure they are pretty sweet!
❤
Thank you!
Love your videos guys. But you missed Stradbroke island ⛱️

No we went to Straddie on our first trip! We have a bunch of videos from there go check it out!
If you really want to find a bad beach then ???? nope there aren't any. Well there might be a couple up in the gulf country where you'd have to share with the crocs.
Yeah there really isn’t a bad beach!
Come down to the Sutherland Shire. It's the birthplace of Australia.
No, that’s Uluṟu
Okay hopefully we can do that!
I love our beaches , but I never visit them. I tend to rust.
Lol yeah that can happen!
As Aussies say, you can't beet a root 😉
It’s really good! Wouldn’t of expected it!
my cuz lived in lennox head, stayed there in my van in his front yard, just not far from the woolies. it was being built at the time.
That’s really cool! We loved Lennox Head!
