I accidentally ran into your video. Wow, brought me back memories because I had a similar story as yours, actually a couple of months before you guys landed in China. I left New York to Beijing and applied for the 144 hour transit visa(I thought it was 72 but they had just recently added more days). Before I left New York they asked for my Chinese visa at the counter and before boarding the plane and I had to constantly explained to them I was going to apply for 72 hours transit visa when I get there, they had no idea about the program. Luckily I was going to a hotel and didn’t need to report to the police. I had all my documents and my final destination was going to be Japan. They gave me my visa in minutes in Beijing(I was the only applying for it lol). A lot of people don’t know this “secret”, that you can visit China without a visa. Once this pandemic is over I will definitely be going back to Beijing. Great video guys and thank you for sharing!
Yeah, it's a great way to visit if you want to just go to a major city in China for a few days! Some cities are 144hours and some are still just 72 (or at least were when we traveled!) That's cool you got to visit there during your travels!
I know you wrote this a while ago but super useful information! II'll be doing a Japan - China - UK itinerary in a month and planning on using the 144 hour transit permit. Just wondering if you entered and departed China at the same airport in Beijing? It seems like you can enter and depart from different 'approved' airports but am curious to double check as information is a little ambiguous!@@Miamiguy2000
How do you get internet access using a non Chinese phone ? Last time I was in Xiamen, I could not purchase a SIM card - you have to be a Chinese resident. Had to use hotel & McDonalds and Starbuck WiFi.
I wonder if they would've let y'all take it if it wasn't open. We just recently found out in Scotland and Amsterdam that as long as the food isn't open we could take it with us through security. Maybe you can look into that next time yall travel. It may be different in different countries though.
Have been to Beijing before. Good vlog. Have been following all your vlog and also have also subscribed to your channel. Thank you for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍💗💗💗💗💗

It’s so hard to give a top 5 and my answer may change day to day but here goes: 1. New Zealand (beauty!) 2. France (culture & food) 3. Vietnam (culture, coffee & affordable) 4. Philippines (friendly people and great snorkeling!) 5. Germany (gorgeous castles & beautiful drives!)

That's interesting. I would've never known you have to check in with the police just to stay with a friend
