  • This is a little orchestral piece that I wrote. When I finished it, I had the impression that it came straight out of an (anti-)war movie.
The video shows a black and white image of a single soldier that slowly turns into colors. Because of old documentaries and images, we often have the impression that back then the world was black and white too, but in reality their world was just as colorful as ours.
This should remind us never to repeat the same mistakes that were made in the past.
The title is inspired by the anti war song "Green Fields of France" also known as "Willie McBride" that was covered many times. The original title of this song is in fact No Man's Land.
The quote at the end is from George Santayana: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
Note 1: I do not support war and I hope that all people can live in peace and freedom
Note 2: The picture is ai generated and is not an original photo
