reason josh harnetts character got away with so much they did'nt see him as a threat they all thought he was some dumb smuck they could push around they under estimate how dangerous he was.
In my opinion the part of the movie is showing you how yes he got revenge, But he would never live a normal life. Never had the chance to share all those memories with his mum and dad. 18th birthday. First day of getting a car, Etc etc. Movie is Sad in someways. Saddest part is when his mum and dad get killed. But my fav part of movie is how smith was paid to kill the boy, And he could not do it so he takes the boy in and looks after him and as he gets older helps him get revenge for his mum and dad, Awesome movie,
