    Es gibt wahrscheinlich > 100 Aufnahmen dieser Stücke. Wenn man sich abheben will, muss man also etwas möglichst deutlich anders machen als die Anderen. Das trifft ganz sicher auf diese Aufnahme zu. Für mich ist es in erster Linie der Beweis, dass Bach´s Musik auch mit noch soviel Individualismus des Interpreten unzerstörbar ist 😊.

    Alessandro Deljavan delivers a highly creative, though unconventional interpretation of these Bach Toccatas. With Bach velocity is a given, so I just don't understand why people here and elsewhere complain about the "speed" of performances. I love the clean, precise execution of trills and other ornaments; as well as, Alessandro's judicious use of the pedal to achieve such beautiful musical edifices. Wouldn't it be much better for all concerned to dispense with comments such as "It's too fast, I don't like it!" Such facile comments reflect jealousy or something else; not really a valid opinion here; it adds nothing!

    57:34 Les fugues de ces toccatas sont extra, mais il y a aussi des moments très pathétiques, je ne connais pas les noms de ces morceaux... Dans la toccta bwv910 le deuxième morceau est un petit chef-d'oeuvre, on dirait qu'il avait été composé pour le piano !

    Don't like it. Prefer Gould much better.

    • @Piflaser
      @Piflaser 4 года назад +1

      For Gould this are war horses. Here it is the pony yard. I think that Bach composed this for his home, as he was not a concert pianist. It may have sounded as Deljavan is playing it in Bach's home. And he is not singing as Gould is always doing. He could not prevent ist, like Colin Davis. Bach was only in his bathtube singing not piano playing.

      I have nothing against Gould, but I don't understand why people venerate him so much. I think people like Gould just because they don't like Bach

    • @glenngouldification
      @glenngouldification 2 года назад

      @@umegghju People venerate Gould because he opened up the world of Bach. Because we love Bach we love Gould. All other interpreters including these trite annoyances by Deljavin only underscore how great Gould is !

    • @umegghju
      @umegghju 2 года назад

      @@glenngouldification maybe he opend the world of Bach for people who want a superstar, but there were wery good interpretations of Bach also before Gould and of course after.

    I dont want to be a jerk, but this is an insult to Bach work, added notes, added ornaments that are not present in the original scores and that are FAR from what Bach would do and from Baroque.

    • @riera_music
      @riera_music 3 года назад +1

      PD: Glenn would version are also the same, an insult to Bach, but Would`s is less insultive than this version.

      @Rose Booth
      Actually I was asking RIERA.His harsh comment makes me think he is a bit narrow minded, either way,besides criticism he should also be able to suggest some decent Bach renditions.
      I own hundreds of Bach recordings by Angela Hewitt, Andras Schiff,R.Türeck,Ivo Pogorelich,
      A.Gavrilov and so many others... and of course
      G. Gould.All of them being great soloists offering their personal standpoint of how to perform J.S.B. works.
      Neither I stress myself to look for the best nor to express ratings.

      In Bach's time adding extra ornaments and improvising on a piece was the norm
