OOOOMMMMGGGG!!!! I've been battling with my clock for two years; cleaning the eyeballs, ordering various parts and guess what? This two little magnets are MISSING from my clock - I cannot thank you enough for posting this - epic mystery solved!!!! YAY!!! 😀😉
Thank you very much. Perfect fix in a junk drawer I had those magnets and followed your tutorial and it worked.
THIS ABSOLUTELY WORKS! I ordered the batteries, installed them, and VOILA -- it works! My Kit Kat clock's tail and eyes swing away and away! THANK YOU! Can anyone tell me how to thank this person for her video?!
@@davidburke9832 you are welcome
Hi! At first, after watching your video, I tried to fix my clocks following your instructions. Every time, the clock did not work. Then I read the written instructions you referenced and realized that even though I THOUGHT I was placing the batteries correctly, indeed I was NOT!! It seems that I could not just "pop" them in with my finger, as you so deftly can do! When I taped the first magnet to a thin emory board (cardboard nail file) EXACTLY like the written instructions said to do, and placed it, then turned the second magnet OVER (to reverse the polarity) EXACTLY like the written instructions indicated, then attached it to the tape, and gently guided it into place next to Magnet #1, VOILA AND HURRAH!!! SUCCESS!!! I have had my clocks for over 15 years, where they sadly rested on my wall, ticking but not wagging...and now they are truly HAPPY CATS!! I cannot thank you (and the gentleman who shared his knowledge) enough for the advice and attention to detail. 🥰🐱🎉
Cuál es la diferencia? Porfavor ayúdeme mi kit cat le puse los imanes pero a veces se mueve y luego nada
Que tal si me podría decir a qué se refiere con invertir la polaridad es lo que no entiendo
You wanna sell 😢

I looked into getting the magnets but you had to buy a lot so I didn’t go that route. I got mine working by taking a magnet I had and just by stacking them together for a few minutes it rejuvenated the original magnet so it works. A stronger magnet will remagnetize a weak one. Good info though; the strength of the original magnet is the issue.
Thank you for showing how this magnets works my boyfriend just fixed our clock it's working perfect
His tail hasn't moved in years! Now he is the same again! Thank you so much from Spain 😊🤗
I emailed the company years ago to get mine repaired and got no reply. I also tried to find clock/watch repair places and every response said "no that's not worth repairing" 🙄
I just went on their website again to see if they had spare parts i was missing but couldn't see any info on how to diagnose or repair the clocks.
I figured someone on YT has to have published a video deconstructing and/or repairing one of these and thankfully you have!
I tried your hack and it works!!! Thank you so much you've brought my strawberry ice lady back to life
At first I may have put the magnets in with wrong polarity but when I did it again, I let out a big smile. It worked! Amazing. Thanks to you and Shel Michaels.
Thank you! I've had my Kit Cat for years, and the eyes/tail movement has always been a problem; it works great now!
Thank you! My two Kit-Cat clocks are now working perfectly. Prior to the addition of these two little magnets, the clocks worked, but the eyes and tails never moved. I'm hoping that the makers of these clocks see this video and update them.
OMG this fix worked. I was skeptical I am thrilled. THANK YOU THANK YOU
Thank you, this is genius!!! My kitty is wagging her tail and eyes are moving perfectly. I have struggled for years with my clock in order to keep everything in motion. Many thanks for posting this ❤❤❤❤
THANK YOU I have been trying to get my clock wagging for about a year and this finally fixed it
Outstanding! I have tried everything the Kit Kat Doctor said to do 3 or more times to no avail. I must have the cleanest clock in the country! The clock works fine no movement. I tried your magnet trick, BINGO!!! Hung it back on the wall and off it went by itself! After fiddling for days, and countless sets of batteries, it works like it did when new! Wasn’t aware magnets wore out! Thanks, great idea!
I've tried tilting the clock forward at all sorts of angles. I've tried changing batteries. I even tried exchanging the clock for another one. I was still having the same problem. I believe this fix actually works. It hasn't stopped since I put the magnets in and that was several days ago. So far so good.
works great... thank you. found small pkt of magnets at Harbor Freight just a couple of dollars too... thank you for you youtube... didn't realize it was so simple to fix my kitty Kat!!
Thank you for the Harbor Freight info.
I just did this to my clock and it worked great. I fiddled with that thing off on for over a year. After putting the two little magnets on and one push of the tail away it went. I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it’s working every time I walk past it.
I just installed two (a little) smaller magnets than you have... I'll give it a day or two and come back and let know if it still works....Thanks for the tip and let's keep your fingers crossed it did the job
Working like a champ thanks to your remedy....Thanks again
THANK YOU!! I have been fighting with mine for years trying to get the tail action on my clock to be consistent and your sinple fix has done the trick!
Thank you for your video. I purchased a new clock today. The animation was not working no matter what angle the clock was positioned against the wall. Upon inspection, I saw a small rectangular metal plate that was stuck to the magnet on the tail side. Removing this metal plate fixed my issue and the animation works. If the animation stops working, I will definitely use your fix 😊
Just looked at your video, happened to have two coin magnets on our fridge that fit the pendulum, and they worked perfectly! Thank you for making my day!
This is great! Thanks so much. I fixed the problem with this video. I’ve never seen the eyes or tail move so strongly.
Here is the same. No way to slow it down. 🤣
THANK YOU!!! I got the batteries, installed them now he is moving just as if he were brand new!! Eyes and tail!
This worked like a charm!! So easy! My girl Kit Kat is wagging away!! Thanks for posting this!! 😻
My clock is better than new now! Thanks for sharing!
This TOTALLY WORKED! I purchased mine new but over time the eye and tail animation simply quit working. Could not figure out why. Thank you so much!
Did all the above from other sites, and had no luck ,found your site and son-of -gun works better then new! Thank you 😁
Thanks. Brilliant fix. Can’t believe this isn’t mentioned in more places. ❤
WOW!
Having battled with our Kit-Cat clock for years this fixed it in minutes.
VERY easy and great instructions.
Didn't even have to push it to start it!
Thanks SO MUCH!
(The Kit-Kat clock Co need to read this fix and step up their game)
This is amazing. We have had at least 3 of these clocks and all stopped working after a several months. I vowed that this would be the last one if I couldn't find a solution for getting the eyes and tail moving again. I can't believe that two tiny magnets were the solution to saving this one from the garbage. Cause that's what these clocks are, cute garbage. But I love em! Thank you, it's working like a charm!
I have the smaller clock “Kitty-Cat”. I hadn’t used it in a long time and wasn’t sure if it would work. It kept time but the tail and eyes stopped moving. Fortunately I had some tiny magnets on my fridge that worked! Thank you!
This fixed mine! Plus: If you use those round neodym magnet, it reloads the tail magnet after a few days so you can take them off again!
Thanks so much, been trying to fix my clock for ages, just fitted 2 extra magnets and its working better than ever !
This didn’t work for me… at first!
I had a few small magnets around already, and I initially tried ones that were the wrong size: too tall creates too much friction between movement side and motor. Too wide and the magnets stick to one battery or the other. Finally, the last ones I tried - the Goldilocks magnets! - were a perfect fit.
So if this trick doesn’t work for you at first, consider a different sized set of magnets.
Thanks for sharing this!
My Clock strikes working since years! Thank you so much!
Brilliant fix! I had drove myself insane trying to fix mine, checked all operating voltages and all good (3.1v) and I noticed some of the solder had cracked for the coil (4 points) but they are coated over so i had to scrape away it all and get fresh solder onto the connection and traces.
Even after doing that, still not any good.
I managed to get a magnet from an old flip case for an ipod (you can find many of these hidden in these flip cases or old bags and purses with a magnetic catch for the lid) if anyone has any laying around they are going to throw out.
The little magnet works perfectly in it!
Thank you so so much! Did the repair today and now it works better than ever before 😻
It worked! Thank you. Maybe the manufacturer should take note.
thank you so much i owe you my whole life… i had strong little magnets like this lying around (word for the wise they don’t have to be the thin ones, mine were very puck-like and i had them around because i glued them to the backs of my favorite vintage fridge letter magnets to make them much stronger and more functional). i already made the switch from normal batteries to rechargeable but wow this has saved me so much headache… my kitkat clock has never worked so good!
Thanks so much. Bought the magnets and fixed it moments. Mike in Hertfordshire, England!
Thank yo so much ! My cat works like new again
This really worked! Thank You!!
The "ticker" is called "pendulum" as well. Anyway, I managed to install 2 magnets using my "fat" 🤓 fingers somehow. Now our cat is back to life - the eyes are moving and the tail is wagging. 😎👌👍👍👍 Thank you very much for the advice. And great thanks to the person who originated that.
P.S. I bought magnets at the referred eBay site. Just pick one. I picked two. They arrive in stacks (not one or two magnets), thus I have amount of replacements for my lifetime and beyond. 🤔
Thanks again.
thank you so much this was also the reason with our kitcat :-) Overnight Tail stops moving but with the magnets it is working again 🙂
This is exactly what I needed. My cats been lifeless for almost a year. I wanted him to be working for Christmas. I have button magnets that are a little bit bigger than yours. Is that a problem? It works but only for a few minutes then stops again. I might not have them positioned right or I might need to order the same exact magnets. But at least it's working. Thanks so much for posting this video. I owe you one.
Thank you so much. It’s working perfectly now.
What a great vid! Totally worked. Thanx for the tip.
Si funciona! Mi gato se paraba a cada rato. Ahora esta feliz moviendo su cola. Gracias 🎉❤
brilliant, thank you so much!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! MINE FINALLY WORK AGAIN.
Totally worked! Thank you so much!!
Perfect fix....thank you!
It works!! Thank you so much for the video! ❤❤
My clock was wagging to one side and I only had one of these Magnets like the ones you have, I used the Magnet on the said that wasn't working right and it is working great now
Yesssssss!! this works great ! Thanks!!!!
Works 100%, Thanks!
Thank you very much! It was exactly my problem!
saved my life fr😭 my clock hasn’t worked for like a year
Thanks! You saved me
after 3 months now the tail is again not moving with the magnets any idea ?
Do the magnets *have* to be 1mm, or can they be .12in (3mm) thick?
Thank you so much!!!!!!
This mostly worked for me as well but definitely if the batteries aren't new it really won't have much of an effect. I do wonder how it would perform if the copper coil was a little bigger OR perhaps you replace it entirely with an opposing set of the neodymium magnets. The concept of the tail is sound but the implementation seems pretty poor.
Enjoyed!
Oh I have a simple fix for that. Mine only stops if it is tilted to far to the side on a wall. Straighten it up and if it’s like mine it’ll work
Maybe the Kit Kat clock company could bother to fix the issue?
Do you know what size batteries would work for the smaller sized Kit Kat clock?
I think double aa
Same as some others. Tried the magnet trick and it didn't work. Read the online tutorial. Same result. Checked the eyes and the clips but still no movement. :/
how do you set the time? i can’t figure it out!
You move the minute hand with your finger clockwise until it’s set to the right time. The hour hand should move along with the minute hand. Don’t move the hour hand. It could break the movement.
🤩😍🥰😘
So this just didn’t work for me, when you start talking about polarity you don’t fully explain what to do or I missed something….
Try reading the written instructions that I link in the description. That has helped other people.
Just put the magnets up to the other ones on the clock and they will find their way when you let go
@@jasonschuler1548 up where, my jacksy?
Is that what you want? For me to be all magnetic? Objects flying in to my behind, I pull them off, they go back in again, I pull that off, and back again
Is that your advice?!
@@jasonschuler1548 you want me to be truffle hounded like a mushroom that’s what your saying
Magnets all over my nethers, attracting metals, why? WHY?
Nope. Didn’t work. Now what??
Nope. ..money wasted on magnets.
Did you try reading the written instructions in the description. It may help you.
