It’s such a simple pie and it’s so good. So easy to whip up with simple pantry ingredients. Thanks so much for watching. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. ~Andrea
Hi, Andrea! This looks delicious. I made a version of this for Christmas, and it was delicious. The main difference is that my version has cherries added. I will have to try a pecan crust. Thanks for another great, easy recipe!
The pecan crust really worked with this recipe. Howard is not a huge pecan fan, and even he didn't find the crust to be too much. Thanks so much for watching, Parnell. Have a great weekend! ~Andrea
This was my all time favorite dessert at Luby's when we first moved to Texas in the 80's, but they called it Millionaire's Pie. I found and lost the recipe many years later. Thank you so much for posting this recipe and video! Can't wait to try it!
I’m so glad this pie brought back such wonderful memories for you. I remember this pie being served at Luby’s and Furrs Cafeteria and I loved it. I hope it taste as good as you remember it. Thanks so much for watching! ~Andrea
Omg Andrea first thing I see this mor ning is this wonderful looking pie ! And I'm NPO for my annual lab work.. Lol set my tummy growls into high gear. I gotta make it now. YUMMO!!😁
Oh no! Didn’t mean to tease you so early in the morning, lol! Seriously this is such a good pie. And it’s really easy to make. I really hope you enjoy it. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day! ~Andrea
This looked so quick & easy! I would love to make this except for, pineapple is my least favorite food ever! What could I substitute for the pineapple?(my mind is blank...go figure!) I think this would make a great summer pie... light & refreshing! Thanks Andrea! Have a wonderful rest of the wk!😊💜
Hi Kathy! I honestly think the pie would be delicious without the pineapple too. If you wanted to add another fruit, maybe diced strawberries would work. You could also substitute lemon juice for a citrus kick. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks so much for watching! ~Andrea 😊
@@FoodamentaryAdventuresinFood Hey Andrea! Thanks for the great ideas. I never even thought of the strawberries. A citrusy vibe would be awesome too! Thanks Andrea!🥰
Hi Andrea, this looks amazing! Have you used the pecan crust before? I was looking at those at the store wondering if they were good. My mom made something very similar to this pie when I was growing up too, it was yummy😋
Hi Alicia! This was my first time using the crust and we really enjoyed it. It’s not as sweet as a graham cracker crust and it stayed crunchy. It’s seems like we grew up eating a lot of the same foods. Childhood food memories are the best. Thanks so much for watching! ~Andrea
"Million Dollar Pie!" Yeah, I had a slice in Rome. I had a slice in LA. I had a slice in London. I had a slice in Chicago. I had a slice in Paris. I had a slice in New York. Well, the pie was okay. But by the time I was finished, in going to all the cities & having slices, heh heh heh, I'D SPENT A MILLION DOLLARS!! HAHA-OOOOOH!!!!!
Thank you for sharing love recipe easy and looks delicious❤
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching! ~Andrea
