So he doesnt have that "naturel instinct" like a proven No 9. He has to "learn" those things. And he learns pretty damn fast imo. If he gets to something around 30 G/A in all comps this season that would be pretty impressiv. Last season he ended on 23 G/A without playing in europa. For a 30mil transfer thats a lot of value. In general im preety happy how the sqad turned out. If someone puts up a stinker the gaffer can simply hook him. If someone slacks during the week in training there is someone behind him just waiting to get into the starting 11. If someone needs resting you can rotate without loosing much quality. ATM we need one more serious CB(left footed). Disasi and Badiashile aint it long term. A Fullback who can play on both sides. Reece harmstrings are made of rice paper. Gusto cant play an entire season. Same goes for Cucurella. And Viagra is not up there yet. And maybe a more serious No.9 to compete with Jacjson. Nkunku isnt a real "striker". He can play there sure but its not ideal. So maybe 3 new singings. Plus a couple of new material to flip. Sell Mudryk, Carny, Ugwuchukwo, Disasi, Chelobah, Petrovic and Badiashile. Get somehow rid of Sterling. Keep Santos at the club when he returns from Strasburg next summer. Loan out Guiu so he gets minutes week in and week out at Strasburg in Liga 1. Send Casedai to Strasburg. If he performs decent for one season over there he can be sold for 30mil. Keep Caleb Weylay over there as well to develop.
Since May Haaland is the only striker that has outscored Jackson in the EPL. 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 games this season. Still only 22 years old. But will 'never' be world class?...We'll see.

Good analysis, only thing I'd disagree on is that I don't think Spurs and Man United are Top 4 contenders - for me I still see either City or Arsenal winning the league, Liverpool possibly 3rd, and the remainder of the Top 4 between Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle. Brighton seems to have a good start of the season and if they can keep it up they could be a problem for United and Spurs and perhaps a few other big teams(although I think Brighton realistically at most could finish 8th or 9th.)

We're not going to see the absolute best out of Palmer if he isn't starting games on the right instead of in the centre. Sure, he can still do a decent job in the centre & contribute to the team but it just won't be on the level it would if he is in that right wing position. Because in many games when Palmer starts on the right we do see him coming inside & even over to the left for large of the game it's easy to make the mistake, I believe, that he's just as comfortable anywhere across the front, right, left, or central, but he isn't. He likes to base his game from the right hand side of the pitch regardless of how many minutes during the game he might or might not actually spend there.
doesn't matter if its rw or cam...he is still playing in that right half space same as last season... only difference is that last season he would cut inside from right because gusto was overlapping (poch tactics)..this season he doesn't have to because noni is covering the wide areas (maresca tactics) last season he had 2 assists 1 goal after 5 games for Chelsea this season 4 assists 2 goals after 5 games seems like were seeing the best of him so far

And I'm not saying Palmer isn't playing well, just that he has had 2 quiet games in the 5 games we've played so far. Scoring a great goal as he did at West Ham doesn't alter the fact he had a quiet game overall.
