Very cool!! Makes me want to build one. I have only had piezo pickups on an acoustic, and found it lacked volume. Had to get a Behringer acoustic driver. Don't know about using a piezo on a solid body. Did you find it a little weak? I believe I'd go with the C. B. Gitty flat Humbucker you mentioned here. I'd like to try a fretless 3 string and tune to GDG. Anyway, nice job and thanks for this video!!
Thank you, I might put a pickup in it, and I'm also in the process of shaving the neck down. I guess I thought it would have been ok since I have big hands, but I should have shaped it better from the beginning.
Well done! I've been thinking of building a solid body lately and this looks like a good approach. I think I'll give it a try. You've got a new subscriber here! You might be interested in some of the builds I've shown on my channel.
Nice guitar, Tom, and it sounds great!
Thank you!
Really great work man! I decided to try ti build One After watching your video😊
@@electricwave8710 cool!
Now that's a seriously cool guitar, those CB Gitty necks look awesome.
Thank you. I got this one for free too, from winning a contest. I should have smoothed out the back of the neck more though.
good job- very nice work...as you were doing it and talking, I was saying a mini flat humbucker would be just the thing for that build.
Thank you!
Great video and very helpful! Thanks!
Thanks, it's a pretty cool idea, I thought.
I love it and am aiming for a mini LP build in this fashion. Great job!
Thank you!
Worked out a treat, and that amp is something else! 😀
Thank you. I'm definitely going to glue the amp back together, I just thought it would be funny to show it as found.
Good video. My guitar build is still in my head. I like the auto paints. They have some interesting colors especially for older cars
You're busy making faces

Thank you, yes, definitely go with the little flat humbucker. I'm not a fan of the piezo, except that they're cheap.
Lookin great so far!
Thank you!
very cool...
Thank you
I woood add more wood in theback area
It didn't really need it, but this was just an experiment, and I sold it long ago.
When you aren't very tech savvy, go old school. 😊😊😊
Sure
Very informative. It would have played and looked better with a magnetic pickup and a stained neck but very good,nonetheless.....Keep building.
