I'm 40 and 4 days ago bought a brand new Girl deck, independent trucks, bones 52 wheels, and bones super red bearings. I skated for 2.5 hours the first night. Destroyed my right calf LOL but i regret nothing. My ollies were super sketchy, but can still kickflip (now learning to do them much better, and finally get the heel flip). i never had videos like this to learn from, so a lot of my old tricks need serious reworking. I'm cruising at night to Motorhead, and it's been amazing. If you take care of yourself, you can keep on skating. cheers & peace from Halifax

Try your hand at lifting weights. I discovered weightlifting way late in life (34), and it's definitely had a much greater positive influence in my life than skating. You look better and feel better and you will likely never get injured unless you get stupid! RUclips "What is Starting Strength?" and "Starting Strength Novice Linear Progression." And, of course, you can still skateboard! You will wanna take skateboarding easy so you don't get injured and lose a ton of progress in the gym :)

Man, I don't get it, do they upload a game of skates now, which happened at the berrics? Also, both should play against pRod! I mean if they even were there! A rematch for Jonny and pRod should've played against Jamie last season also, they actually own us that! 😊
Micky Papa up until now still the most under rated pro. His tricks aren't on the level of Shane and Nyjah but he got tricks nobody else would try to do
Not only is he underrated, I feel like he gets totally underscored in SLS because he pulls off runs with tricks like this flawlessly yet never makes it into the top 3.
@@jameshalldorsson9695Its ridiculous how they score him, on not only original tricks, but also difficult tricks. If I see one more guy get 9 club for a cab back tail or half cab nose grind 180 I'll never watch another SLS lol
What do you mean 'not on level of Nyjah' , did you see the tricks he landed first try here? That's definitely on Nyjah's level or better.
@@PHeMoX 1000% TRUE He gets beef for his "style" which style is pretty much anatomy not technique, the way the body silhouette lays out & naturally moves - the way a person is born. To me his natural style looks fine & confident & his technique is proper, clean & perfect. But most people hating on his shortness "style" which can be seen as a young boy style. In my opinion I think Micky is in the top 20 best skaters in the world.
@@emilyonkov2172 for real. Lazer flip bs lip he did first in sls. Last year sls lake havazu, nollie heel fs board, and to bs 50:50 at the ledge. Got docked fs, but Nyjah also did a sw heel tail and to five-o. Cab bs Noseblunt was nice from jah. But regardless, there you have proof that they underscored micky. Wit the nollie bs 180 nosegrind revert on the higher obstacle then jah's. Also some lines like u mentioned, if I were him I prolly would've left the competition. Also Gary made jokes about him in skateline... Whatever, I guess they can't make as much money with him.f.e., so they push others more

One of the things I love most about our sports (extreme sports) is how incredibly humble and kind the majority of us are. Often saying how much better another person is than ourselves, putting the spotlight on one another, describing how amazing other people are vs focusing in on ourselves. Love the camaraderie. You performed amazingly Jonny! So did the other skaters and the bmx rider! Cheers!

Micky papa was at a demo in my small city like 10 years ago and did a crazy amount of first try tricks on our 8 stair rail. Pretty sure he did 3 varial heel back feebles in a row too. He's been consistent for a while lol
