I also wanted to take a moment and share a brief history behind this beautiful song. Нас Бьют Мы Летаем - They hit us we fly, was written by Джахан Поллыева-Dzhakhan Pollieva (lyrics) and Андрей Ктитарев-Andrei Ktitarev (music). It was originally performed by an iconic Soviet- Russian singer Alla Pugacheva on the day of her 65th birthday, on April 15, 2014, which made this composition extremely popular. Diana es maravillosa. Cuando la escuché por primera vez no daba crédito, y me repasé todos sus canales, escuchándola cantar desde muy niña. Realmente se puede llegar a coger cariño a una persona físicamente lejana a ti, pero que cuando la escuchas, te encuentras en tu hogar, es la sensación que Diana me provoca, una sensación de calidez tremenda, que no he encontrado en ninguna otra parte.

I believe that you must have Slavic roots with the way you perfectly pronounced that title AND how you completely understood the feeling and words of this beautiful, powerful song! Diana once said that this is one of her mama Irina's most favourite songs! Diana has had more than her fair share of pain and sadness during her young life and she uses those experiences to put honest emotions into her performances. Some things cannot be faked! Diana always gives 100% to her songs, happy or sad! Great reaction by someone who absolutely understand how unique and incredible Diana is! Thank you!
IF you have time, there was a great duet between Diana and a guest from the concert audience who was also in an orphanage and also appeared on the "You're Super!" project a couple of years after Diana. Lilia Petrova was invited out of the audience by Diana to sing any impromptu song she chose. Lilia chose this and the result was spectacular! Lilia has a very powerful voice too!

ЕСЛИ у вас есть время, то был отличный дуэт между Дианой и гостьей из зала концерта, которая тоже была в детском доме и тоже появилась на проекте "Ты супер!" через пару лет после Дианы. Диана пригласила Лилию Петрову выйти из зала и спеть любую песню-экспромт по ее выбору. Лилия выбрала именно это, и результат был впечатляющим! У Лилии тоже очень сильный голос!

Thank you for paying attention to the amazing Diana. No singer has captured me as completely as she has. If you choose to look into her personal life (parts of which she graciously shares with her fans), you will observe that she is an incredibly kind and genuine soul, and very humble as well.
Unlike many singers, she can create masterpieces without needing to exercise the full extent of her vocal capabilities as she did in “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. She deserves international success and I sense that she will find it in her future. Her self-written songs are so incredible- she has two, “Revelation” (Откровение), released last August, and “I Went Into Myself” (Ушла в себя), released just this month. I think you will also enjoy them!
Side note: “I Went Into Myself” is kind of unexpected coming from Diana. It’s sort of like rap (which you’ll recognize once the beat kicks in) but not in the way you would traditionally think about the genre. She makes it as beautiful as any of her other songs and it’s very interesting to hear. With each new release we see her grow as an artist

The majority is Russian speakers, of course, but also a good amount of English speakers from the US, Great Britain, Canada, etc…and then I’ve even seen some Portuguese and Spanish being used. The greatest artists will always be able to communicate their message regardless of language or cultural barriers. Diana is a master of this. Have a great weekend!

She has some amazing pieces like Duduk which has a bit of an Enigma/Enya vibe or Revelation or I Went Into Myself. All original and unique. Diana turns 20 this May 31st and she's really starting to define herself musically.

"Diva" Pugacheva did not sing this song. This song belongs to Olga Kormukhina, who gave it to Diana.
“Нас бьют, мы летаем" - стихотворение, автор которого Джахан Поллыева, авто музыки Андрей Ктитарев ,была спета Аллой Пугачёвой в день ее 65 летия и юбилея, есть прекрасное видео на Ютюб, она зделала ее популярной. Эта песня также была спета Наргиз Закировой и есть очень трогательная версия с Данилом Плужниковым на детском Голосе в 2016. Насчет Ольги Кармухиной, ее песни “ Я падаю в небо” или легендарная “Нас учили быть птицами”, но никакого отношения к “Нас бьют мы летаем”.
I don't know the background but I have read that Olga Kormukhina gave We Were Taught To Be Birds to Diana to sing. Here from Diana's channel is a June 2018 recording:

@@dreamok732 You're absolutely right, "We were taught to be birds" is legendary song by Olga Kormukhina which she gave to Diana. However, it has no connection to the song "They beat us and we fly" performed by Alla Pugacheva on April 15, 2014, or Olga Kormukhina. I think the confusion came from the fact that both songs had the aviary theme, 😆!
